i had 1996 finnish-produced vauxhall opel calibra in 2005 :D very cool.. even the interior had that "M-premium" style package, not the stock .. but i think when i bought it, there was some things being done to it .,.. because 18 and stupid.. i just crashed it, and sold it... but i know who owns it now and sitting in shedd somewhere.,.. im trying to rebuy the car haha.... :D can get those old 90s opels for cheap probably... basicly when i bought it, the next day someone want to buy it with double the price i bought it... and i knew why... it was some rare one produced only 1000 pieces , and everyone knew that finnish-produced ones dont rust like crazy .. so all the calibra fans usually wanted the ones wich had finnish VIN codes.

I worked at a Vauxhall dealership when these were new and one came in with all its interior been nicked. It cost about £10k (which seemed like a ridiculous amount at the time) to replace the full leather interior and took a while for every piece to arrive direct from factory

@@TingzOnWheelz i want to start doing videos but not sure which way i could do it because mods are done as much as you can on a stock internals engine. i need the cambelt etc doing but thats not a driveway job on these. the front main seal/oil pump seal, crank angle and cam phase sensors need doing at the same time as the belt and pump.
I'd recommend taking them carpets out and checking the bungs underneath bro. I would bet my life on them being rotten mate. I'd check the bulk head near the peddles
cant believe my luck when paying for my parking ticket in poole the other week. i came out to my incredibly rare 400whp 5 cylinder turbo plus fiat coupe with a red calibra turbo with the 4wd still in place and running 306whp parked behind me. i know as the guy was paying for his ticket also as i was gettings pics of our cars together. was mind blown and speechless.
@@TingzOnWheelz yeh man, mines on a stage 3 hybrid turbo, 3 inch downpipe into a catless 3 inch straight pipe. crazy crazy sound. no other 5 pot sounds closer to a v10 than these.
If it's 100% a Rare 1 of 51 then brooo.. It's a No Brainer .it needs saving!. But I'll warn you now be prepared for a lot of nasty surprises like rust underneath etc etc but still save it. This here is a Labour of LOVE!.. IT May be more valuable in future to the right people 😉

ah the opel calibra being myself .expert in this model .so I'm going to be angry .the calibra 2l trubo .and the most lame version and yes boys it's a 4x4 version an all-wheel drive from the 60s .compared to the versions c20xv ecotec which and limits to 136 hp. then which comes out 170 hp. it was limited to 136 hp so as not to overshadow the v6 versions. and the ecotec version lightens the rear axle of the passable c20xv in trubo. goodbye to the calibra turbo the c20let.
