Bought a Haze on sale at Costco in March. First one had a throttle that did not work. Contacted Jetson and was told to return it to Costco. Returned it, and got a new one on the same visit. Second Haze works great. Slight learning curve for the three speeds and cruise control. Works great on steep hills. Really easy to load into back of my Subaru. Love this bike.

Thank you for the review! I came to same conclusions (especially about looking like a clown, peddling at 1K rpm on assist #2 and #3, and having zero effect). I also gave it to my kids. I bought a Jetson J8 with 7 speeds and larger wheels, which feels smooth and behaves more like a real bicycle. I had a 6-mile commute on Haze, just to see what it would be like, and I won't wish it on my enemy. It's funny how Haze defenders came out in force to confront you about your review conclusions.

It was just my personal opinion, but some people can not stand disagreement. I bought Lectric xp 2.0 ebike

Before you say, the bike is mainly for kids, you should do some more research and you would realize that tens of thousands of people have bought this type of ebike the Jetson bolt pro itself, has tens of thousands of owners, and the vast majority of them are over 30 years of age, they are almost all full grown adults! The Jetson bolt pro is most likely the most popular selling EBike, in the entire world! There are literally hundreds of TH-cam videos on it! Regarding upgrades and accessorizing it! Plus, there are Facebook groups as well! There are literally thousands of people that love the Jetson bolt pro! In Hawaii they stock over 300 of these in a Costco at a time! I, have seen videos on that! So, don’t just sluff Jetsons off, as just a child’s bike it’s not! These little Jetsons, or a godsend to senior citizens with disabilities, and anyone that likes to take them camping in their RVs as well! They also cost 1/5 the price of your average full-sized, mid-range, adult E bike! Hi, can buy five of these for the price of one of those! Families by four or five of these at a time! For less than the cost of one full size, mid range, adult ebike! Beat that! The speed on the Jetson bolt pro can also be increased to 19 mph! I, have seen other modified versions, on TH-cam, of it that go up to 60 mph, the average speed that people boost them up to, is usually around 30 mph! But not much point in doing this, since it is completely, and totally illegal to do that, and ride them on a public street! Also, one can add a second battery and double or triple the range by just putting it on the seat, post rack, and hooking up wires to the controller, other battery, etc.! I have done this and I get over 25 miles in range with both batteries, throttle only! I could even get more range if I wanted to put a bigger battery on the back of the seat! So don’t trash them they’re a great little E bikes, show me anything better in this price range! You can’t!

Thank you for such a passionate comment. There is some truth in it but I don’t really agree with you. This bike is not trash. It’s built well but it’s not for long trips and comfort ride, it’s more for zipping around town. Like I said, don’t get me wrong Its build quality is well. It all depends on what rider wants out of their e bike and how much they are willing to spend.

Thanks for the review. I hope it works well for me. I like the size and plan on using it to take to campgrounds when we camp, so I'm limited on what I can haul. I was kind if worried about looking like a clown too. I guess we will see how it goes. I'm about the same size as you, maybe little shorter

My biggest concern is batteries. At least with the Bolt Pro, you can find other battery makers and competition is usually cheaper prices. Looks like the Haze has a proprietary battery, thus you can only get from Jetson(probably at premium prices).

Confused about pedal assist. Can you pedal yourself and have the battery help you to go forward, or do you just sit and ride it? You mention pedal assist but only demonstrated its speed which isn't as a concern for me. I want pedal assist, I want to pedal the bike and have it help me up hills or to help if I'm tired.

So, overall, your opinions about the bike, not being for adults is so wrong, you couldn’t possibly sound more ridiculous! Just take a look at the hundreds of videos made by adults that on these things! You have no idea what you were talking about here! Such opinions should be kept to oneself! After you do some research, I guarantee you’ll change your thoughts on the matter! There are thousands of adults that would totally disagree with you when you say this is nothing but a clown bike! Think before you speak! Do your research before you trash something!

More idiots that haven’t done hundreds of hours of research on bikes like I have! Check out the videos on Jetson’s bikes there’s literally hundreds and hundreds of them way more people love the bike than a handful of highly negative critical jerk offs that don’t like it!@@JohnDavisoo456

I've been riding this bike for about a month th-cam.com/users/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
