This was my Dark Souls. I know they're two entirely different things, but I'll always have a connection with Dragons Dogma, the way so many others have for the Dark Souls series.
Similar for me, I got into both DD and DkS super late into their lifecycles but man I adore both of em, they're (never thought I could say this about DD) some of the games where I will get the sequel/new instalments almost immediately.
@@feerfree8986 dark souls is only about spamming dodge to roll and the game itself is pretty much boring + bosses are just plain boring, buggy and have auto aim on you even when you go behind the boss when he charges his attack, he will do 180turn and hit you which doesnt make any sense.. DS is easy its just made in a way that you need to die over and over again and yea gear doesnt matter you still die in few hits

this is probably one of the best boss fights ive ever done in a game, the 2nd phase pushed me to my limit with sucking in all my pawns and it was just me as like a lvl 170 assasin. i had like one more wake stone and my only option was to shoot and dodge. needless to say, more games need to make you have more strategy and push you, than just spam rolling and repeat. hyped for dd2
Best boss fight is when u used the incense to summon optional boss fight. You should try that. Those fight will made this boss fight look like playing with children once you mastered those ultimate test of your ability.

Phase one: battle to free the mans soul, music is uplifting and soft. Phase 2: battle to free the man of the monster, music is slightly mkre intense but also uplifting a bit. Perfect themes for daimon
lmao, this has been my experience (kinda) with DD2 with the new sync spell mechanic (at least I don't remember that from DD1), watching my warrior arisen and 3 sorc pawns just annihilate everything with meteors, Daimon better be thankful hes not in DD2.

I can't remember if hes fully Grigori transformed (iirc he refuses to kill the dragon because its his mentor or something?) but it would be funny if on NG+ you could just godsbane Grigori and Daimon to one tap them at least once lmao.
The first song makes you feel like you’ve reached the end of your journey after reliving one of the greatest epics ever told, all that work and time you put in, felling monsters, the dragon, dodging death itself, led up to the final fight against Daimon, THE ENTIRE FIGHT felt like a fight against a God, with Damion’s black hole ability, his Superman flying punches, I feel like it was one of the hardest and best feeling boss battles I’ve ever faced, but it was the music for the battle makes the fight feel that way, not the boss itself, the boss attacks were almost on beat and kept up with the tempo of the song and it worked so well because the music kept you absolutely locked in, and the story behind why your fighting him makes it so much better and satisfying, knowing you were called there by Daimons pawn/lover to free his soul from the dragons curse, and reunite him with her made finishing the fight feel extremely satisfying when you finally slay Daimons cursed body, freeing him in the process. with his pawn telling you during the boss battle the only reason he was cursed in the first place was because he refused to sacrifice his pawn to the dragon because he loved her, it felt like the game giving you more motivation to beat the boss and that was just icing on the cake. I think the only other game that gave me that feeling was Elden ring in certain boss battles. I really hope they up the soundtrack for the DD2 DLC because the base game soundtrack was severely lacking compared to DD1.
Been a decade now. I remember walking into a gamestop after getting tired of MW3.... I figured... lets go old school and grab a couple of fantasy games. Nabbed Dragons Dogma and Dark Souls. Holy hell. I was wondering what I have been missing. Only to realize I got lucky and there were a shit ton of other half baked garbage 3rd person adventure games. Dragons Dogma was/is amazing. Only wish I could transfer my data to ps4 so I can get the damn holy sword because Capcom thought itd be a great idea to block it off to a random chance via the Erd Dragon or whatever.
It would be cool to have a proper online mode, but I did always like being able to make my pawns silly as all hell looking while also being minmaxed so people still used em, we did get DD2 announced though :D
