A helpful tip I use religiously when trying to hem skirts that are wider down the bottom then they are at the top is to do a rolled hem (especially for finer fabrics/ formal skirts) as it leaves the finished product looking neater while also allowing it to be a little easier to sew and feed under the machine.

What a SUPER video and a great project to do with my daughter while we are in COVID 19 "stay at home" mode. We just practiced with a few pieces of paper (in a miniature version) to be sure that my daughter (10 years old) understands the construction process. She followed along, we used masking tape (for 'stitches') and put paper version of the skirt together. Tomorrow she will take a try at making the skirt. Thanks, Eryn!! I hope other parents out there find this video!
