Ray Nadeem turned from a guy I didn't see as anything more than a cliché dull police guy, little more than a red shirt, to the one character I cared most about in the entire series. He truly makes the season.

Sort of like Wayne Unser from Sons of Anarchy where he had no choice to become this guy who had to work with the bad guys and you cared about him
I mean Dex makes the season but Nadeem is cool
The way that he is presented with spotlight, from the very beginning, shows that he's intended for something else than a background cop.

I love the scene between Fisk and the old woman, because they're basically having a monologue duel to see who gets to keep the painting. And I love that Fisk actually respected her having an even more tragic backstory than himself and backs off lmao
Fisk: "I would very much like to have this painting. You see, WHEN I WAS A BOY, MY FATHER WOULD-"
Old Woman: "Oh yeah, hotshot? Well WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL, THE NAZIS TOOK MY PARENTS AND-"
Fisk: "Oh. Oh my God. I'm so sorry. Wow, yeah, I'm totally out of my league here. Enjoy the painting lady, I'm out.."

Seeing Matt reveal his identity to Nadeem was so heart-warming. Such a great moment in Nadeem's arc. And the background score - soooo good.

That was so brilliant and beautiful. One of my favorite moments this season.
No matter how difficult Brett can be sometime, he is exactly what he needs to be, and he does what he should do.

Nadeem imo is the heart of the season , he feels like the most sympathetic character out of them all .Matt revealing himself to him was a nice surprise .

I love that woman standing up for herself and defending her right to keep her family’s painting with no fear.
Fisk did not care about that woman's back story in the slightest, he still would not care about killing her and taking it back. *But* he thinks that Vanessa might care about those things. The point is simply that he does not want to disappoint his _image_ of Vanessa. He does not leave the painting in the woman's hands because even he has some things he considers too evil, there is not a line that he would not cross, he leaves it alone out of a different kind of selfishness.
ChocolateRob I think he uses Vanessa as his moral compass (like Poindexter needs to) so in a way feeling like Vanessa would care for her story is how he is able to “sympathize” indirectly. Plus he usually justifies his actions but he couldn’t with that woman; his reasoning wasn’t stronger than hers.
@ChocolateRob Exactly. Fist pummelling that man in the car out of frustration, shows he has a supposed 'moral code'... until he doesn't. The worst narcissistic, selfish rationale a man can have.

One of my favourite scenes from this season is Fisk's Speech because I love how as soon as he starts speaking the hate signs starts to lower until they are gone.

Vincent D'Onofrio is just the embodiment of the Kingpin. Really can't see anyone giving a better performance in this role than him. Kinda funny since I used to watch him play a great detective on Criminal Intent.

This Fisk speech is one of the scenes I don't like this season. The crowd wants him hanged until he says like two sentences and then they're all like 'oh OK'.
Britton Stanaland It was as he predicted, they just needed a bigger villain to hate. Which is why he created one.
It’s pretty believable to be honest. Fisk is an incredibly convincing public speaker.
Unfortunately, it mirrors real life 3 years ago, & beyond.

Let me tell you, if volume 5 was not to your liking, volume 6 is all turned up to 11.

That could easily have been about every single other politician other than Trump. But you interpret according to your own biases.
Fisk has specifically used the term "fake news" in this series, & in this speech alluded to it by uttering an almost exact phrase. If *YOU* distanced yourself from riding Trump's d*ck, maybe you could quash your own biases by instead seeing the reality of this show's social commentary. Blind Wave are just insightful in their observation. That's all.
