Thank you very much. Planning to do another round of comic reviews in the very near future. Been working hard in private to make some comics of my own.
Just picked up the graphic novel collection for this series. It brings me back to the good old days where I was snacking on gushers and Sunny D and reading a stack of comics after my Saturday morning cartoons
I subscribed! I agree with letting the inexperienced boys writing and creating coming art. The 90's helped re-introduce comics for me. That was a golden age for Marvel especially! After that every thing went to crap! I miss Jim Lee and the Sylvestri brothers! Wilce Portacio was one of my favorite comic book artist-him, Sylvestri and Lee!
I wish to bring comfort to you, because I had almost the same exact experience with this series. When I was a kid in the early 00's Spiderman was massive with that movies release. So a friend of my moms gave me a variety of 6 or 7 Spiderman comics from the Untold Stories of Spiderman, the 1999 Peter Parker series, ect. And all I did was reread those 7 books back to back. Wasn't until like a year later I went to a garage sale with my grandma and I looked through this box of comics for Spider man but Cyber Force Issue 1&2 came up and those covers blew my 9 year old mind. "Comics without superheroes with superpowers?" I thought. I played with army guys and military toys all the time so seeing Stryker on the cover holding 3 guns was all I needed.
Just picked up vol 2 issue 1 in a dollar bin. Love the art from Silvesrtri and inking by Scott Williams. Love the quality of comics from this time period. Going to keep my eye out for more
Really enjoying your content man, keep it up.Nostalgia is soooo strong, really liked Image back in tha day!!!Bought Pitt,Wildcats,CyberForce,etc...etc..comics were sooooo much FUN then!!!!
Hi there ! I totally agree with what you say about comics today and Cyberforce mini-series. The same could be said about X vol2 from dark horse. I bought those for 1$ each at my lcbs after watching your review and...... HOLY SHIT !!!!! Amazing series ! Thank you and keep up the great videos!
I enjoyed the cyberforce series years ago. I collected cyberforce back when it first came out and still have all the issues. What i found with image comics when they first came out was great artwork and characters. What image comics was lacking i believe was great stories. They would have there initial story lines end but didn't know what to do with the characters afterwards. Some titles figured out a story plan, others didn't. In my opinion the last 5 to 10 issues of cyberforce i don't think they had a direction. They needed a major storyline, seemed like it was minor stories. Just my opinion. Thanks.
I got one of these comics as a kid in late 90s early 2000s- zero clue what was happening but it was cool and took me until this month to remember the name of it- accidentally came across it watching an invincible commentary
Awesome and entertaining review! Was wondering if you were into Top Cow's second wave of books like Weapon Zero, Arcanum, Spirit of the Tao, Nine Volt, Ascension, Eve Protomecha & Soul Saga?
It sure seems like 90s comics are on the rise. Hopefully, the publishers will finally take notice and start giving customers what they want on current books.
I would've loved to see the image founders commit to crossover events every year with all the creators original characters meeting and trying to fight a massive threat to earth or humanity and their individual books, afterword, would make reference to each event as they go on.
I've picked up CYBER FORCE since Vol. 1 #1 in 1992 and have the latest issue that came out 7/24/2019 Vol.5 #11(of12). The latest volume is a reinterpretation with the main characters meeting and relating to each other in different ways. I'm waiting for the final issue to sit and read it all at once, so I've only skimmed thorough the issues briefly when I've received them. I think you should amend your video to have people actually pick-up CYBER FORCE #0 since it provides background for WARBLADE from WILD C.A.T.s involvement with CYBER DATA, RIPCLAW, and MISERY in the KILLER INSTINCT X-over between both ongoing series at that point in time.
I got the 1st 4 issues and 7 issues that came after that. Cyber force zero comes after the first four doesn't it? IDK. I got that bundle for $10 at the con today.
I love how he makes it sound so easy to find these. Here, our local comic shops don't have comics older than a few years back in less we're talking about critical storylines or issues. Everyone of these videos makes me want to punch the 20 year old me for just giving away all my Image comics back in the day.
My first ever favorite character was Velocity 🥹 when I was younger I asked my mom if I could put her on my door and she said yes so I got to work and around 10 or 11 she was on my door because I loved her that much! ☺️ my youngest ended up liking Flash and my oldest was into Spider-Man. I’m all over the place with favorites now but she was and always will be my favorite 1st 💚💛
One of the few vulnerable superheroes for sure. I think that's what appealed to me about her. Also, the coolest design and color combination. She really popped!
@@CryptoComics I agree. I was so young when I got that comic and hoping still have it. I may need to sit down and sift through to see what I have. 😮💨 been a while.
IMAGE: The comic company where the colours are always so close, and the details are always so high everywhere, that it's hard to make out what you are looking at.
@@CryptoComics Marc said they were ready for development with Foxkids. Everything was set and ready to go. They even got the same art studio of the Xmen. Then Saban bought the Fox Kids programming block. Every creator that had projects in the can got canceled if they weren't Marvel. Don't quote me but I want to say this was right around the same time Ethan almost got Cyberfrog into a cartoon and that same meeting may have been when that got shut down too.
More likely that the creative people are being suppressed by the uncreative who have wedged their way into the entertainment industry to exert political influence through the various mediums.
So the start the video is decrying social issues in comics and not enough escapism for three minutes until FINALLY we get into the very escapism I wanted to hear about when I clicked on this video. Anyone else see the irony there? Look man, I get it. I agree with practically everything Crypto-dude was saying, but I just wanted to hear about some Cyberforce, not listen to ANOTHER rant about politics in comics. I'm so done with it already.
You see, political stuff is okay in comic books IF IT MAKES SENSE, but when Female character that canonically uses her sexuality as weapon and not been shy or shamed of it - suddenly starts to ranting on how male gaze is bad, it's feels strange and fake, same goes if Punisher suddenly gonna pardon PDF files if they are not white or not straight, like what a hell is going on, writer must understand that he must write from character point of view and not from his own, like irl you can be left or right or in between... but moment you start writing character keep lore safe, to not ruin it for the reader. Ofc if writer too stupi and can't do it, then just keep politics out of yours comic books, until you get better at writing or something like this.
Finally!!! Someone layed it down the way it really is. Tired of all the new crap out there reminding me of how weiner having chicks now wear capes too wtf 🤦🏻♂️ I literally legit cracked the hell up at the drinking chai tea & kombucha statement. I know I’m a little late on this video but thanks a million for this! Just got the trade paper back Cyber Force was always masterly drawn out luv it!!! DOPE VID DOPE SUB 🦾🤙🏼✊🏼
I hate it that this woke stuff has destroyed my beloved comic book industry what's crazy is Mark Wade over at DC right now is actually writing a great superhero comic and he does know how to write the DC universe but personally he's still a damn communist lol so you know deep down he hates what he's writing Superman as the All-American hero which he still portrays Superman in the right way even though he hates this country Mark Wade does but the book is good world's finest but other than that pretty much everything out now is let's see how much we can hate white people and hate America and talk about how much of a victim we are and how much women superheroes are stronger and better than men superheroes
I've got the entire run that Marc Silvestri drew. One of my favorites in the 90's
I got all of Cyberforce. I still need spinoff issues like Ripclaw series, Origins: Cyblade & the Velocity series
This channel's content is awesome, keep going like this

@@CryptoComics . I wonder if its the one drawn by Pat Lee haha. Can't wait

Silvestri art on Cyber Force was amazing. Too bad Image Comics had inconsistency with production back then which killed a lot of potential titles.
Exactly.
I had number 3 I loved it artwork just amazing
The original miniseries is worth picking up at your LCS for fifty cents a pop in the back issue bins! I still need to re-read the ongoing series.
Cyberforce needs to return.
Very happy that this 90's series is getting the omnibus treatment.

How far do you recommend reading into Cyber force? I love the mini-series but I don't have anymore issues after that.
Good question. I would suggest picking up maybe four or five issues at a time to see if it's still entertaining you.
I have all the foil cards still in the case from the series

Near mint and mint. Some signed.

No, but please tell his countless viewers that it is.

Just like movies music tv video games etc. of today. Things are dying Cus creativity isn’t flowing as much as it was in the 60s 70s and 80s
