Microsoft is the 'highest quality company one could own,' adviser says

- With Wall Street at the center of a busy tech earnings cycle, investors may seek to identify tech stocks worth adding to their portfolios. Washington Crossing Advisors Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-Founder Chad Morganlander joins Market Domination for the latest edition of Good Buy or Goodbye, providing insight on the hottest tech plays.
Morganlander names Microsoft (MSFT) his "good buy," claiming it is the "highest quality company one can own," with its rising dividend payment to investors. He also cites its highly diversified AI strategy and subscription models, which lower earnings volatility.
The senior portfolio manager calls IBM (IBM) his "goodbye," claiming it is a lower-quality company with a high valuation for its debt. The infrastructure and consulting units of the company are also lagging, he adds.

As of December 2023, International Business Machines (IBM) reported $59.94 billion in total debt. This includes current and non-current debts. IBM's debt-to-equity ratio is 250.1%, based on total debt of $56.5 billion, total shareholder equity of $22.6 billion, and total assets of $135.2 billion.
This guy is clued out, he just stated that stocks with higher dividends are lower quality, when in fact usually the opposite is true, except for growth stocks...You can't fake dividends.

Msft is amazing but dudes last week and a half it's down $40 from highs! Analyses aren't covering it and yes it's the whole market and msft is still going strong but I hate to see such huge capital movement with no takes on it. I'ma have a hard time holding on when it reaches 430 again!

A crash and bullish market provides equal high-yield potential, it's all about information and strategy application, I've seen folks make huge 7figure profit in a crashing market and pull it off much easily in a bull market Unequivocally the crash/recession is getting somebody somewhere rich.
On occasion you can beat the market with blind luck, but I wouldn't depend on it. Having a science background there is a saying, 'Luck favors the informed', I've found it to be true, allowed me in great part to retire early
No doubt, having the right plan is invaluable, my portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and recently hit 100% rise from early last year. I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take till Q3 2024.
