In this video we talk about the jurassic park & Nedry, the dilophosaurus and the raptors, not to mention Jurassic world, the new jurassic world movie, the lost world jurassic park, indominus rex, the t-rex rexy and how it got over the drop off / cliff in Jurassic Park back in 1993. The restricted section in jurassic world, and what was in there in 2015, indominus rex, the black indominus rex, and how the white indominus rex was a sad story. Including, scenes on the velociraptors, TREX (rexy) indoraptor, and scenes from Jurassic World, & Dominion. I enjoy making videos about dinosaurs such as this one!
Dinosaurs! this is not the indoraptor, but it is the t-rex tyrannosaurus in jurassic world, but it could be the indominius rex, but not the giganotosaurus, not thegamingbeaver, but shadows, jurassic world dominion ending, but giganotosaurus vs therizinosuaurs, real dinosaurs, not TGB or jurassic world dominion, but spinosaurus, not netflix Jurassic world, the giganotosaurus

And you left out the part where he saw the road to the East Dock after he got out of the jeep and you've also left out the funny part where he slipped and fell down the small waterfall and lost his glasses in the process while planning to get the jeep unstuck and get to the road to the East Dock.

@@Sussyboi77it was a gate so you should have been able to open it without powering down all the fences otherwise it’s a pretty piss poor gate. I’m going to guess he just went with a blanket system shut down instead of making only certain systems go off line probably because it was easier to do it that way and would create more confusion giving him more time to either get away or get back to his desk and make up some reason for things failing as he “fixes” everything.

Yes, in the novel, his body was found by Muldoon and Gennaro. It’s very graphic. Flies buzzing around his gaping mouth. His face is red and bloated. The compys found his corpse have begun consuming him. So one leg is chewed through. Remember this is the novel version-the novel’s version of his death is far more gruesome. The dilophosaur blinded him, tore him open, causing his intestines to spill open. It also picked up Nedry by the head. So, his body was a horrible mess when Muldoon and Gennaro found it. Arnold found it on camera too. Very different from the movie.
He’s my favorite character so when I read it, finding out that they discovered his corpse both saddened and fascinated me in a morbid way.

Steven Spielberg toned down the story of Jurassic Park to appeal more towards kids and their parents, which is why the movie is more of a fun, action-packed dino romp than anything else. The book is a legit horror story set in a dino theme park. Characters who survive in the movie don't survive in the book and vice versa. Some characters in the movie were a combination of a couple characters in the book, the dino kill scenes in the book are legit nightmare fuelers. If you don't like reading you can pick up the audiobook version instead and listen to it while playing a game or at the gym or a long car drive, etc., etc.. If you've ever had a pet lizard (or snake) then you know that when they poop, there's usually some white poop that comes out with the brown stuff. In the book he is found by Muldoon who get's his rocket launcher back. Thing was Dennis was paid really well by Ingen but only when he finished his work on the system, he had financial troubles in the interim and Nedry's company, in computing software, were competing with larger companies. Hammond didn't give the specifics of the park to Nedry, as Hammond feared industrial espionage, and he designed the system as a generic amusement park system which of course lead to all kinds of problems. So Nedry was flown to the island to make the changes needed as the system was acting up as it didn't work well with the systems already in place. Biosyn, which was Ingen's rival, learnt that Ingen were making Jurassic Park and their "Fixer", Lewis Dodgsen, found the weak point being Nedry. After inital contact with Nedry did Dennis put in the "White Rabbit Obect", the shutdown line he baked into the lines of code. What we see in the movie is the end of a long and very sinister conspiracy. Nedry was also stiffed by Biosyn as the embryo's were worth millions and Nedry got only a fraction of that. Nedry stood to gain about 1.5 million for all the embryo's. That was about half of one embryi. Had he known their real worth he could've sold them to ANYONE. Also it would not have been possible for the can to still hold viable embryo's as Dodgsen states there is enough coolent for 72 hours, Which means after 72 hours they would warm up, as stated in the clean up report, the nitrogen pipes were shut off which lead to a rise in temp causing damage and ruining all embryo's. So yeah a bit of a fuck up on Cretaceous Camp's part.

Didn't the modified Barbasol can have a type of miniature cooling system inside that protected the embryos for a limited time in order for Nedry to make the delivery? If so, wouldn't the embryos be dead after the system eventually failed making it useless to Dodson when he finds it decades later? 🤔 Then again, he could still salvage DNA from the embryos, so that explains how he was able to make his Dinos.

I'm not sure what you're referencing but it's most certainly not the second book (The Lost World). Dodson does not go back to Nublar in TLW book he goes to Nublar's sister island Isla Sorna with two henchmen to steal dinosaur eggs, not to recover the long since ruined embryos that Dennis stole. It's been awhile since I've read the book but if Nedry is even mentioned in it, it was only in past tense. As far as the novelization goes, Nedry's body was likely never recovered because at the end of the first Jurassic Park book as the survivors are being helicoptered off Nublar the Costa Rican government is simultaneously firebombing the island so in all likelihood what was left of Nedry's half eaten corpse was incinerated during the cleansing of Nublar.

What REALLY happened to Nedry was that the venom, while very painful temporarily, gave him super duper strength for a few days. The rain and windows of the Jeep obscured what happened on-screen, but HE actually mauled the Dilophasaurus to death in the Jeep, not the other way around! While he never did find the Barbasol can, he did use his newfound strength to swim to the mainland with his bag of cash. While the burst of power from the venom gradually wore off, Nedry made his way back to the US and used the money to craft a completely new identity. About three years later, Nedry was spotted using the alias of "Stan Podolak". He had apparently spent most or all of his $750,000, as he was working as a publicist, trying to drum up business with Michael Jordan, digging up a whole golf course, and helping Jordan and the "Looney Tunes" characters in a basketball game against a team of aliens called The Monstars". What became of Nedry after that is unknown, though in the game he was rumored to have first been flattened like a pancake, then inflated like a balloon; a process he may not have survived...

@@Sussyboi77 Yeah, but he _did_ turn off basically everything else. T-Rex paddock fence was disabled, dilophosaur habitat, etc. It feels weirdly excessive to just crash basically everything in that particular system to get a single gate open, especially when doing something much smaller would have gone unnoticed, and people likely wouldn't have cared either way that Nedry took off.
The dilophosaurs in particular are an incredibly stupid thing to leave capable of escaping their enclosure, given that they're capable of spitting venom in large quantities, which we're shown _via Nedry_ absorbs into the tissues and begins causing pain and vision loss within seconds. Not to mention the fact that in the book, the dilophosaur is large enough to not only eviscerate him in a single swipe, but also to engulf his head in its jaws and crush his skull. That's like letting the hellspawned mix of a tiger, a spitting cobra, and a saltwater crocodile just roam freely.
And let's face it, herbivores aren't exactly less of a danger just because they aren't actively going to try to hunt you down and rip you apart. Like...look at how many people get their shit wrecked by getting too close to bison in Yellowstone on the regular. Now, scale that damage threshold up to adult triceratops levels. So, Nedry not only put the lives of everyone on the island in danger from tons of utterly uncontrollable multi-ton animals, he put _himself_ in danger by leaving so many proverbial doors hanging open, all while he was going to be out and in the thick of it to cross the island. Just seems like a dumb plan...like he got his wires crossed between "make it safe and simple to escape" and "Eff over InGen as hard as possible."

I actually think that was Spielberg's nod to the book. Nedry wasn't actually payed poorly, in the book he is paid not necessarily "equal" to what his role is but its a sum of money comparable to what he would earn for his skills if used elsewhere. The problem is he has a huge gambling addiction and Hammond refuses to give him a raise not because he doesn't deserve it but because he has no interest in giving Nedry more money to waste. Thats also why he says "I'm really sorry about your financial problems, but they are your problems"

    • @suiway
      @suiway 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@aaron_raney940 oh cool i never knew that! That does do a lot to explain why Nedry was so desperate for more money when he was probably still getting a high salary compared to most jobs. And the comment from hammond on paying for mistakes could certainly apply to BOTH the worker that died and losing a bunch of money gambling. I can absolutely see it even being a combo of things to make him desperate. If his pay was cut after the death, but then he couldnt afford to pay off his gambling debts because of the pay cut, and hammond repeatedly refused to reinstate his pay, it would definitely drive him to hammonds competition out of desperation. It also fits with how much risk would be involved for him, it makes more sense for his character to be desperate, not just greedy.

    Newbie here..
Are we not gonna talk about the fact that, the movie, implies that Nedry is John Hammond's son-in- law. Which is why his family didn't sue.
At the Dominican Amber mines, Rostagno tells Gennaro that Hammond could not be there because he left to be with his daughter who was getting a divorce. Later.. Hammond is having a somewhat heated exchange with Dennis...
Dennis Nedry: [laughs] I am totally unappreciated in my time. You can run this whole park from this room with minimal staff for up to 3 days. You think that kind of automation is easy? Or cheap? You know anybody who can network 8 connection machines and debug 2 million lines of code for what I bid for this job? Because if he can I'd like to see him try.
John Hammond: I'm sorry about your financial problems, Dennis, I really am, but they are your problems.
Dennis Nedry: Oh, you're right, John, you're absolutely right. You know, everything's my problem.
John Hammond: I will not get drawn into another financial debate with you, Dennis. I really will not!
Dennis Nedry: There'd be hardly any debate at all.
John Hammond: I don't blame people for their mistakes. But I do ask that they pay for them.
    Dennis Nedry: Thanks, Dad.
Thanks Dad!.... We know he is literally Not Hammond's son.. So it makes sense that Dennis is Hammond's son-in-law... Which explains why Hammond would employ him in the first place.. He threw Dennis a financial bone that ultimately did nothing to help his marriage which Nedry is now paying for.

This is another example of Hammond's cost-cutting and poor management as he could have scheduled the staff timetables differently to ensure there were always staff even at weekends but this would have cost him extra in staff salaries AND needing to hire more ships to transport staff off the island during weekdays (if their "weekend"/days off were during the week. ❤

*Mr. Swackhammer (from Space Jam):* (reaction of Dennis Nedry a.k.a. Stan Podolak): It smells like a SPY!

He is most likely still on the island playing poker with the Dilophosaurus while waiting for help to arrive.

Very unlikely as the whole park had a break out of all the Dinosaurs so even the Scavengers to. So even if they found him it may very well be nothing but Bones of even that at all. But no his Body wouldnt ever again be seen given the circumstances in the park. As to the time that passed by.

Interesting stuff, i didn't realise that the guy in the first film was the guy right at the end.

Nedry breaks free. Nedry expands to new territories. Painfully, perhaps even dangerously. But Nedry, uh... finds a way.

2:11, he's fine. The dilo just wanted to ask if they can go to McDonald's.

May not be exactly the same but: Dodgon's death is pretty much exactly what happened Nedry in the novel.
Dinosaur appears before him, scares him, gets spit on, ensures he can't escape, and kills him with a bite to the head.

      Raptor - "Alan!?"
      Dilo - "No, Dodgson"
      Raptor - "Nobody cares"

One thing that doesn't make sense about Dodgeson finding the embryo can in Camp Cretaceous is that when he opens it, a little burst of coolant comes out. That shouldn't happen because they explicitly state in the first film that the canister only has enough coolant to last 36 hours. Those embryos would have been long since unusable.

The channel 'Fact Fiend' said that Dennis Nedry actor Wayne Knight approached Speilberg with the idea that his character survived, albiet looking more like Harvey Two-Face from the 'Dark Knight'; complete with respirator, discoloured flesh from the dilophosaurus venom and a missing arm. Speilberg felt his return undermined his end in the first film and nixed the idea.

1.5 million dollars was a kinda low price even for the 90's. The dinosaur felt bad for him and took him in as one of it's children.

It's pretty obvious what happened to his body. It ended up coming out the backside of the dinosaur that ate him.
