@@TrvisXXIII Two things: I have a close friend, an older man like myself, whose English name is John Travis, and two the only way I really got into Guyana was because I have an investment Mako Gold Mining who just bought Goldsource who is in Guyana. Guyana is a fascinating story and if I were young, single and adventurous I would check it out. Also, I love India.

Hopefully that oil revenue stays in the country and helps the people prosper. Good luck, things get wild when you find oil. 🙏🏽

The country has to ensure it signs agreements with oil companies which allows Guyana to get bigger percentage of profits it’s the people’s resources and overseas companies are exploiting already

      No. It's the government's.

  • @stompgrounds

Guyana should give outside investors a small non-controlling stake in the oil. They should also stipulate that the oil companies train Guyanese nationals to operate the oil extraction and refining processes.
Any money should go towards education and also road and energy infrastructure.

The road development has taken on the colour of comedy ,, how come you ask ,, well in GUYANA dem civil engineers feel dat "round about" is high tech caz in demerara alone dem have mo'mery guh roun dan WASHINGTON DC n LONDON put together ,, let me say this here fuh de umpteenth time the DEEP WATER PORT
[ DWP ] is being spoken about ,, albeit cloaked ,, by Dr.Peter Ramsaroop of GOinvest n BECHTEL ,, not even a year after I recommended Bechtel to my former Ambassador Sarah-Ann Lynch.....Peter n I had differences on the DWP ,, what is of import now is finding the LOCATION for this NEED in GUYANA ,, as the TOTAL civil infrastructure fuh MODERNITY is hinged on the construction of the DWP -- a STATESMAN'S obligation ,, is to transform what he has inherited to what it ought to be ,, using de HUILE money ,, certainly NOT fuh constructin "round about"...... WASTING the money wid dem mental midgetry
