Pluto in Scorpio here! 1992 with sun in Taurus. Gotta say, for our generation it’s such a transformation and like the Phoenix rising from the ashes because we came into the world feeling provided for and as if the world was safe and got the last ends of the 80s and then technological advances happen, computer in the homes now and then 911. Surfing the web unfiltered and then seeing the world was not in fact safe and we kinda went back into our shell. Dealt with traumas and addictions and so on but I feel our generation is going to transform into the doers and break cycles.
This is a topic that I am very much interested in, so, it was great, thank you so much. I am a generation X, Pluto Virgo, Uranus Libra and Neptun Scorpio in terms of generational planets. Pluto Virgo, me and my friends, we are all about work and productivity and Uranus Libra, certainly changing the way relationships are in my country. We were the foreseekers of women who rebel against the housewife model and who were certainly not afraid to divorce since career has been our main focus. It is interesting that Neptun Scorpio was a time when banking sector started to employ more and more women and especially in forefront, it became nearly dominated by women, although not in high management places, that started with Pluto Capricorn. Pluto Virgo for me is a time when we lived both the silent generations life (TV started in Turkey in the year I was born, 1969) boomers life (the importance of music and weekend day time disco parties) and after that the technology phase. So it was mutable in so many ways. Most of us adapted well to technology but boomers could not mostly. I can see so vividly for Pluto Leo generation like my mother, being pretty was so important. They dressed beautifully and they were so sleek where we did not care that much. They had tailors made them clothes or they made their own clothes where for us we started buying ready-made clothing. So many details. :) It is fascinating. I better stop, I can write for hours in this topic. :)
It was so cool growing up as baby boomer during the late sixties, early seventies.,We really felt like a tribe, especially when we went to rock concerts, and people freely shared their weed with each other.I hung out with large groups of kids, male and female, and we never got into criminal activity I would love to go back to those times.
Go to a class reunion. We had so much fun danced rock n roll laughter. I also noticed how our outer planets 🪐 were pretty much the same. Saturn in Sagittarius ♐️ for my age group. And how Pluto in there Capricorn ♑️ has been playing in there world. I did a few charts after for a few people giving me a cool view how this has played in there lives.

I loved the discussion at the end about mundane astrology which is my main interest. I struggle to balance my appetite for current events with my astrological studies but current events usually wins, lol. I am Pluto in Virgo generation with Uranus in Leo--tail end of the boomers, graduated in '79 just before the recession hit. Remember standing in line for jobs with 200 other people and friends with degrees selling vacuum cleaners. Great episode! I really appreciate how accessible this was. You don’t have to be a polymath to do mundane astrology, but it doesn’t hurt! I also find that my interests in history & biography help inform my understanding of the applications of astrology across time. Those connections are so interesting, even if you don’t care to use astrology predictively (although you certainly can). I also just love Nick’s voice and the way he communicates. Pluto in Virgo gen-- We're great at picking ppl apart, not so hot at putting them back together though. This gen can take a dish out criticism like cocaine backstage at 1970s rock concert. We make great editors though. We want to be perfect, which is tough when you look outside. Still, we soldier on....

My siblings and I have 3 different Pluto signs! I was born towards the end of Pluto in Scorpio and have Uranus and Neptune conjoined in Capricorn (1994). My three brothers and BIL all have Sag Pluto and my sister has Cap Pluto because she was just born in June!

IMO, the availability of technology is absolutely crucial to defining a generation, due just to the increasing influence of technology in our culture since the 1950s.
I know so many baby boomers my age (1952 and following) that loved the first triad of Star Wars movies. So, I'd encourage you to make some distinctions as you describe cultural trends. Perhaps it's the aspects Pluto makes to other outer planets --- for instance, Uranus was in the last decan of Cancer for my group for a few years --- perhaps symbolizing a misfit within our tribe/generation as Pluto in Leo was inconjunct. It's not just this, but other trends: for example, many in my Uranus group did not subscribe to the Beatles and similar music, while those a little younger were huge fans. I bet Austin Coppock could speak to this as well with some attention to the decans that these generation-defining planets fall in. (Okay, so should have listened all the way through to 1:12 before commenting🤗) .
Im 1967 and I’ve been shuffled around since Copeland wrote Gen-x. I’ve been called baby boomer , which I am too young for, and I’m too old for Gen-x that starts in the 70s I believe.
Pluto libra. I enjoyed it was barely mentioned because (technically) Pluto in libra is a lost “tweezer” generation. Gen XY. Because of my current interest that relates to outer planets in a Jungian psychological text, my mars in libra totally wants to go there, but Venus says no. On topic, WW2 dictators were a big part of my lot of spirit ruler study that I didn’t get to because I suddenly became interested in the 6th house. Adolf Hitler was one of the big baddies who is a great example related to the “origins of detriment” episode. His chart has a AA rating, so when another astrologer mentioned his chart (I forget what placement it was, most likely Venus conjunct Mars) I check lots. Ruler of spirit as psychological state, his ruler is Saturn in Leo opposite lot of spirit. 11th house near whole sign MC which is where the Saturn in Leo is extremely prominent/noticeable. Even better, his fortune is the same, cancer with moon/Jupiter in Capricorn. A good case in point for whole sign houses, if his ascendant is libra, Venus mars conjunct in taurus whole sign 8th can explain why such an ugly chart could gain hypnotic support to fund his campaign. That is one nasty chart. Rahu/Ketu cancer/Capricorn. One other chart that’s possibly not accurate was a Saturn gemini ruler which relates to fascist philosophy. Hitlers chart is the one that made me think about sweeping ruler of spirit under the rug because I have LoS opposite ruler as mars in libra plus Saturn and rahu in 1st which was mentioned by an astrologer as a reason for another dictator. 😄 then I found dictators with Jupiter which had nasty stuff around it. My natal isn’t that bad, I have 2 domiciles and an exalted, great aspects. Just tough houses. Anyways. Uranus in scorpio, Neptune Sagittarius and Pluto in libra. Thanks for skipping over uranus in scorpio “boomer”, I don’t understand that one. (Playing) The “non mars libra” relation with the Jungian book, it’s about individuation. It’s psychology and myth, no ties to astrology, but it aligns extremely well with it. Even in terms of pathways of “individuation” being described in the outer planets. I did think going that angle could be “controversial” until I remembered the topic was discussed in the Neptune episode indirectly. Uranus is likely where you’d hilariously find a backlash which was actually mentioned a little in the episode that uranus sort of rebels against the sign it’s in. “But Oceanos tells him that it is not Prometheus's torturer, but his misfortunes which must be yielded to. Prometheus must escape the martyr fantasy and move into a posture of amor fatì-that love of fate which is one characteristic of authentic masochism. The call here is to submit to his natural inade- quacies, to the shame attached to them, and especially to the in- evitable consequences of his own spirit.” It’s a slightly different lens on uranus rebellion. Great show, felt overwhelmed by how much you guys can remember so easily.

When I think of technology I think more of Uranus which spends apx. 7 years in a sign so that it means it spends time in 2 1/2 signs per generation. I remember the culture of pinball machines.
Neptune feels. In 1840 New Zealand it was a watershed year as our Treaty of Waitangi was signed and British proclaimed sovereignty and it is our founding document and is still very much part of us today. Ok, not world impacting then. But as a descendant of our indigenous people, Maori, from then till now, huge.

As a fan of the show, I would like to make a request for some topics to be covered in it: I would loveeee an episode about deccenials, the timing technique. It's literally the western version of the vimshottari dasha and it works astonishingly well to predict general events and important transits in someone's life. It functions as placement activator (in a way more than profections, I feel like) of when a certain placements will manifest and it's also useful to zoom in on important transits. I would also love a podcast about geomancy (like you did some with tarot) because it's really interesting and it was called ''the sister of astrology''. Thanks! Keep up the good work!
I feel like on the one hand there's such potential with this stuff for insight into the world and ourselves, and then on the other hand I'm frustrated and disappointed by the cherry picking. I often see all this since 95 generation z lines, but i have a lot of friends and i go with 2000 generation z, not before.
My lilith and juno is in libra and i often feel attracted to pluto libra generation, in general older generations than mine
I look younger than i am, but thats a problem, because this neptune change between capricorn and aquarius is a big difference and if you were born on an end of generational planet time, people think you have same values and behavior, but i haven 't

Hi Chris! Love your podcast, I learn so much with it. As a fan of the show, I would like to make a request for some topics to be covered in it: I would loveeee an episode about deccenials, the timing technique. It's literally the western version of the vimshottari dasha and it works astonishingly well to predict general events and important transits in someone's life. It functions as placement activator (in a way more than profections, I feel like) of when a certain placements will manifest and it's also useful to zoom in on important transits. I would also love a podcast about geomancy (like you did some with tarot) because it's really interesting and it was called ''the sister of astrology''. Thanks! Keep up the good work!

I feel like on the one hand there's such potential with this stuff for insight into the world and ourselves, and then on the other hand I'm frustrated and disappointed by the cherry picking. Saturn-Pluto in Cancer, that's World War One. What about Saturn-Pluto in Libra in the 1980s? Um, well they used chemical weapons in the Iran/Iraq war...... I mean what? As much as I want this to make sense, it's unconvincing to me.
