- In 2 Samuel 6, we read that King David went to Judah to return the Ark of God to the City of David. As they marched with the Ark, the procession celebrated before the Lord, with castanets, harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums and cymbals.
David had much to be thankful for, because the Lord had blessed him with many victories against his enemies, and now, in the presence of God as he entered into the gates of the city, he began to celebrate and dance before the Lord with all his might, and everyone cheered with shouts of joy and the blowing of trumpets.
Have you ever felt such joy? Hasn't God given you victories in your life ... over finances ... over sickness ... over relationships ... over lack ...
We should all rejoice for our God is so good and He loves us, takes care of us, provides for us, heals us ... but most importantly ... He is with us.
Become a fool for Christ, dance with joy, shout out praises to His name. It is good to dance liked David danced, when you are dancing before the Lord.
I love the times that I dance and sing and play music for my Lord.

I am a dancer. I nearly lost my leg in a terrible car accident, but the Lord God of Israel, God of the Jews and Christians, God of everyone as one God who created all, gave me the power and the gift to dance, and so I do. I am also a singer, and play guitar... all of it, whether a "worship" song or not, if it reflects the glory of God somehow on this earth, is my praise to Him. And if I look undignified to you, I only smile and dance more before my God who deserves to be praised. I join in with the spirit of life that was gifted to me.

I just danced and sprinted and twirled and clapped to this full song and after I could barley catch my breath and I laid down on my garage floor and closed my eyes and couldn’t stop laughing and smiling and I could feel the presence of others! I wasn’t dancing alone! I asked god to speak to me and let the Holy Spirit fill my heart and body!

I love God and talk to him and praise him all day long. About a month ago, I was talking to God about dancing. That night when I went to sleep, I began having a vivid dream. I was dancing right here on my den floor. I was having such a great time. Then I was being spinned around an around. I was laughing and then I Iooked up.
A very tall man with white long curly hair was laughing and spinning, spinning, spinning me around and around. The thing that I remember most was how he was laughing so hard! I can't get over how much he was enjoying dancing and spinning me.
I woke up and looked around. WHAT JUST HAPPENED HERE! Was I dancing with God?
Later an angel came to me and said four words and left. She said, "God delights in you."
Things like this started happening to me when I began spending a lot of time in praise, worship, and word study.
Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth he Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Blessings!

I have danced my whole life. The last time I danced like this...it was the weekend after my Mother passed away. I was at a Santana Concert and he was talking about the Dignity of Life. His music makes me Dance before the Lord. Santana has been saved and he's not afraid to show it through symbols and with spirit. That whole concert I was elated with Joy and full of the Holy Spirit, definitely dancing with abandon and enjoying that my Mother was in heaven and thanking God for the time he gave me with her. He even gave her extra time when I prayed to him, an additional 12 years and I kept my promise to Him. I visited her every year with my children. Our LIFES purpose is simply to love each other and give Honor to our Lord. My Mom's last mass was Palm Sunday and she danced at almost 78 years old and she led a procession of rejoicing to the Lord. She had tambourine and she went from here singing, dancing and Praising God. All for His Glory and with abandon! Alleluia. Thank you God. Admirable is the Name of God. Come Holy Spirit, Come, Renew the Face of the Earth. All for the GLORY of God.

It's kinda inaccurate to show that David was dancing with barley no clothes on. When his wife said he dance uncovered, it meant he didn't have is royal clothes and robe on. He had a linen garment on and it said he looked like the regular ole people who dance for the Lord. God song tho.

God would never welcome and be exalted by such sensual, worldly undress and movement. David did not dance like this. David danced in a pure plain white linen robe, a garment like those the ordinary priests wore.

Dancing for the LORD is not only acceptable; it is a command.. The glory and praise should be directed TOWARD THE LORD, not those who are worshiping him in dance. David divested himself of his kingly glory to praise the only ONE who is worthy of priaise and all glory: the LORD who has said He will not share His glory with another....

I would like to hear what the rhythm and the music really sounded like( there were percussion instruments and trumpets) this was like a melancholy song at a wedding...And see the real dance. They portrayed him as a guy doing the type of “praise dancing” women do at church.
I would think David’s dancing would’ve been impressive, like a talented and athletic dancer we might see today, not skipping about. After all, he killed a lion with his bare hands. Is there anything better out there?

It's so frustrating when people misinterpret scripture! If I can read it you can to! There is no reason this movie should have portrayed David undress when it clearly states in the scripture he was wearing a priestly robe! For this very reason I will not watch this movie. Too many movies like this one wants to tell "there version" misleading people instead of telling exactly what's in the scriptures. Clearly they are not followers because they would not misinterpret so many things wrong! Pick up a bible and read it correctly.
