The Boss! 🤘🏻 The poet…… In my opinion, In the USA may have earned the awards, but all of his earlier work is the real deal. Wow!! What lines, what passion in the melody, the raw tracks!?! Bruce was never meant to have keyboard bass & a drum machine. Only in an era like the mid 80’s could a producer even consider doing such nonsense to a band & artist like that. Oh well, the Boss returned to his roots & is finishing strong. My favorite song is Stolen Car. The best to all of u fellow Springsteen fans. Keep it real. ✌🏻
Tenth-Avenue Freeze Out: Well the song was written in 1974/75, and ten years or avenues later, there was Bruce's dream when he froze out all the competiton in 1984/5 with the Born In The USA tour. If artists are also a kind of prophet, that's a pretty good prophecy of things to come, and Clemons (RIP) was more prominent in that tour than any other. Also, the tone of the song is more BITUSA-like than 99% of his other tracks before that tour.
@johnny67448 You get more for your money with the Darkness Box set. Such as a t-shirt. I personally think that the Born To Run Box set is better though.
Well apparently you haven't listened to the Sancious/Carter collaboration TONE, it puts all the E Street stuff to shame .... ahhh I'm just kidding, of course it was a mistake.
Greatest album ever in my opinion.
Agree. I'll never forget the first time I heard those first notes of Born to Run.

I try to avoid 10th avenue lol
