Am I the only one who doesn't really need a sequel? It's beautiful that the film exists and the story continues regardless if a sequel is needed to tell it?
Yeah exactly.. it would ruin the beauty of the film.. Alice Wu is right.. it make sense different people might have different opinions so let them imagine about it..
Leah Lewis. Really professional. Really polished. On the dot with every answer. Lots of talent meets lots of training. Maybe didn’t live through the experience that Alice did, but great to see that Alice helped Leah stay present and portray that set of experiences in a responsible way. The number of views and awards will never match the connections that you’ve made with each other and the world. Congrats.
In my professional life I live for dynamic capabilities when transforming firms. Apart from simply loving this film and the incredibly nuanced storylines, which I feel come from Alice’s real life, I see that the dynamics between Alice, Leah, Daniel and Alexxis are genuine reflections of the relationship angsts that all/most teens go though when they learn, but don’t yet understand what’s happening. This film gets this and gets me. Thank you Alice for making your choices relatable to pretty much everyone 🍍🦉🐛🙌🙌🐬
I love this story so much. Even though Alice Wu feels that this story does not need a sequel, I still hope we can have multiple "parallel sequels" of the Half of It, each of such sequels can cater one possibility of the relationship between Aster-Ellie-Paul after a couple years. As fan-fiction based works are already exploding in such short time on youtube, so i can only guess such idea may work.
Did anyone just realise that "to all the boys I've loved before" and "the half of it" both have Asian American female leads, widower fathers and a great male best friend
Alison Chen I know, but I feel she might change her mind as her artistic side starts to fantasise about how things might turn out, especially for Ellie? One thing is certain is that Alice won’t be pushed into a sequel for the sake of it...
Well, although she may not think about making a sequel, she is probably still going to use her own experiences to inform the writing of her next movie. So, unless Marvel drafts her to direct the next Eternals...
At work, it is 45% Chinese/45% Filipino. Everyone has food/candy they pass around. The beginning of the shutdown management put a stop to touching, close quarters, food sharing.

Same here it's great that ending is just the beginning of Ellie chu's life. Becuase it shows how life really is
I mean none of us need it. But it wouldn't hurt now would it? 😂😂😂😂

Wu’s movie is always touching and sensitive right in the point
The Half of-It is an intellectual coming of age -coming out of the closet - compassionate love triangle that is warmhearted and wonderful

They both write letters too 🤓✌️
It's quite sad Alice is not eager to do a sequel or even believe that she can make a good sequel for it...
Just wait...I think it’s coming yay 🍍🦉🐛
@@2smoulder how can you tell? I mean, in this vid, you can tell she's not into making a sequel..

Too bad no sequel. 😭
That won't stop fan fiction sequels which I am quite sure will be all over the place :)
This is a good movie.
