Skill issue
imagine bitching about CAS when SPAA has had the advantage for years. Plus on top of that he was playing Russia, the nation with the best SPAA in the game across the board and the best CAS in the game. As if Russia isnt handheld enough already.

Where at bruh, in all my time playing I’ve never had a match in which SPAAs weren’t getting overwhelmed by all the CAS, when I try and use my SPAA I can only knock out about 4-5 aircraft before I just get overwhelmed, and that’s with trying to move around and find good spots.
@@commandervocal3848 sorry but if the enemy team is able to overwhelm you with CAS, your team is already losing. CAS spam is the only time it's even a problem anyway.

I'm a cas enjoyer, and lower BR CAS is way more fun (if you're germany.) all your guns can pen the side of enemy no matter the BR except for USSR heavy tanks. I mostly use Do 335 that guarantees at least 5-6 kills if approached correctly and if im not lazy, if i go even lower with Puma i take 1-2 scouts 2-3 kills get into Me410 with a 50mm autocannon that can oneshot pretty much half of the enemy lineup and enjoy myself. CAS in top tier actually requires correct aproach, good vision and skill and you cant just play casual to succeed. (this video shows very rare occasion tbh because whenever i play CAS i get pantsired or SACLOS'd if im not careful enough, flares dont work against big boi missiles)
I'd almost argue CAS is worse at lower BR's tbh. The individual aircraft are definitely less powerful, but it just seems that if you dont pay attention for 2 seconds facing the American team, there's 8 aircraft up, ready to strafe your open top SPAA
Cursed seeing the default F-5E when I am so used to the Aggressor skin.

Quick question, why is it sometimes after launching them at a target within range do AGM-65B's and A's spontaneously explode midair as if they lost lock?
Thanks a lot, TV missiles explode in air supposedly when target is out of the missile FOV, if a bush, tree or house get in the way I mean .. but mostly it explodes because it is bugged. If Gaijin remove this feature a lot of bugs will automatically get solved.

I kinda wish the F-5E could carry the AGM-12 bullpups like the F-5A or C can. Mavericks just deal inconsistent damage for me and the TV sight is annoying to use (when the map is full of foliage especially, on plain maps it's okay) to the point I just go close range and lock in 3rd person instead, at which point a bullpup would work just as good if not better because of better damage and not needing a hard lock to fire.
Still a great alternative to the A-7E, much better at defending itself, whereas the A-7E really shows its weakness the moment enemy SPAA or CAS is up, basically whenever it has to use its flight performance.
Also more fun news: the Damocles pod on the upcoming Mirage 2000-5f got updated and will have nearly up to 100x zoom, so you can look at pantsirs from the other side of the globe if you wish, very funny. Not to mention the thermal quality is nearly HD standard (720p). Rather jealous ngl, I suppose it is one of those rare French wins.
dont worry, what you have, us A/C variant users wish we had as an option too. But hell Bullpup kills will never not be satisfying and well earned.

What is your bind when locking with ATGM / firing? Do you also use sight stab as well. I notice that you fired 3 rocket for 3 target, killing on all 3. How did the atgm not track to the next target from TV guided. What bind did you use?
Lock weapon air to ground button, I can't use sight stab button on this plane because it does not have CCRP (War Thunder logic).

may i suggest to ace your IPM1 crew. the 5 second reload is great.
also try to predict the enemies movement when you fire from long range.
I just pray that snail will add separate game modes for every type of vehicles and separate for each specific type for example tanks only fight against tanks planes vs planes but u have one game mode where u have everything planes/helis/tanks/ships

I feel the CAS guy tbh. I kept track of how many times i died by a tank vs CAS. I think I died 8 straight times by CAS back to back. The worst part is when you have an SPAA that cant do shit against what you're facing. Ozelot for example, locking drones? No chance, locking a helicopter that is over 3km away? no chance, an SU-25 with a full load of flares (and that will just tank your missile anyway if you do hit? No chance. I sure love having an SPAA that CANT SHOOT DOWN AIRCRAFT.

What are some good lineups for Russian 10.3 to 11.3 as I want to use my ka50 more
As for 11.3, the T-80s are solid so the T-80U and the T-80UK. T-72B3 can be used as well, but T-80s are a bit more versatile. The 72B3 has great targeting speeds but that's really its only benefit. 2 MBTs are usually enough, then a light and SPAA. BMP-2M works at toptier, or else either of the 2S25 could work. The M is preferred due to thermals, but the non M has the funny super fast reverse speed (not that it is more important than thermals however).
As for SPAA... well... The tunguska once was great, however nowadays it's a whole lot less good, so you will probably end up using your Ka-50 a lot more as SPAA than the tunguska. So you could opt for another vehicle class of your preference instead if you can't make the 2s6 work. Do note that after the upcoming major update, ALL missiles will act worse so the tunguska won't be as bad compared to others anymore (but still not great) and the Ka-50 won't be able to snipe aircraft with the Vikhr missiles as well anymore as reliably. It's not a bad idea either to just instead of using an SPAA, to use an air superiority fighter or CAS plane with A2A capabilites, such like the MiG-23MLD or MiG-27K (Su-17M4 works as well and doesn't require you to take less A2G for A2A, but the MiG-27K will have a better FM and a dedicated sight).

@@from_George_with_luv Well depends on what you have. You already mentioned the Ka-50, but I suppose you mean fixed wing CAS.
I suppose I can split it into two main categories, one that focuses on air superiority and one that is solely CAS focused.
-Air superiority- (MiG-21(kinda)/23/29)
For the 11.3 BR lineup, the MiG-23MLD/M offer pretty good FM in the ground RB regime still, it allows you to mix a little bit of A2A and 2 Kh-23Ms (with guidance pod tho, not a targeting pod!) which are like bullpups, so MCLOS. MiG-21s are usable still if you have don't have them, they have S-24s, which are basically big HE rockets, which can still do something with the ballistics computer. If you happen to move up to 12.0, the MiG-29 is basically like the MiG-21s but with vaaaaastly better FM. Still S-24s as CAS material only and the very good R-27ER for anti CAS, the R-27T can also be used, no missile markers mean this long range IR missile will often go unnoticed (ofc if you use it from long range only, which has its own complications).
-CAS focus- (Su-25, Su-17M2/4, MiG-27K)
For CAS solely, the Su-25 has probably the most flexible loadouts (and after the update, the Su-25T), but you have pretty horrendous flight performance, so mainly very close CAS, flying low and just shooting people you happen to find on the way.
Su-17M4, the M2 is a little less flexible when it comes to loadouts (also no countermeasures), is also an option, it's like the Su-25 mostly but faster. Still a very similar playstyle, but if there is no SPAA up, you can climb up and do dive attacks more easily. Honestly just go to the MiG-27K, the Su-17s aren't worth it in this meta, but don't neglect it, the future multirole Sukhois promise great things but that's pretty darn far out still.
MiG-27K (M has a worse targeting sight), is basically the russian's tree best CAS. It definitely has surpassed its glory days as many other nations have better options (cough France... yeah for real), but it is still usable. It lacks thermals, but so does everything else in the russian air tree but it does come with a sight with variable zoom and autotracker as well as 4 very good laser guided missiles,, which to this day is still unrivaled in amount. Note you will have 0 A2A options other than your guns when doing so however, you do get the option to sacrifice up to 2 laser guided missiles for 2 R-60Ms each (or R-13M1). Flight performance is similar to the MiG-23s. so still formidable against things like phantoms.
Honestly, what I would do for CAS for Russia is to neglect fixed wing CAS. I'd maybe take out an plane for anti CAS purpose because to fill the SPAA role or only use the MiG-27K if you have it and just focus more on rotary wing CAS. The strength of Russia's CAS lies in its helicopters, more specifically the Vikhr missile.

For now I’ll hold off on the mig27 as I dislike having no a2a options
At least the mig21/23/29 su17 and su25 have r60 to protect themselves

@@from_George_with_luv You can opt to switch out one or two Kh-25MLs for some R-60Ms. If you switch out two, you can also run the Kh-29Ts instead, they have fire and forget ability like mavericks (although they can be less reliable than laser guided weapons).
If you have the MiG-27, there is little reason to run anything else other than the Su-25 for sheer number of ordnance. If you don't have it, well then of course run what you have. I indeed don't recommend you grind out to the MiG-27K if you aren't close to it and waiting for the Su-25T is a fine decision.

Hello Hunter, how are you? Well, about this controversy of CAS winning matches, I'm not the biggest fan of this modality within the game, in fact, I'm a critic, I wanted a land-only game mode, but I've already given up asking Gaijin. I agree that crying in the boring game is not the best way, but it is frustrating to be in a good battle between tanks and be killed by a CAS of an angry avenger, that is. Today I play the game much less, and I also admit that the life of the CAS is not as it used to be with the entry of good anti-airs, but against 2 or more CAS there is nothing to do.
Anyway I have fun with your videos watching other players being destroyed by missiles launched miles away. With CAS you are the best.. Congratulations..

They do have a bad SPAA/CAS balance. SPAA should equal or exceed CAS range for the BR (in real life CAS would be staying low to avoid long range SAMs, which don't exist in this game). SPAA need to get the hell out of spawn... so annoying.. go hide and ambush the planes. The maps should also have scattered resupply points that SPAA/others can reload at.. like a plane can go back to base and resupply. SPAA relies on the team to secure a zone to reload. Standard flares is going to make life easier for aircraft too. Drones need to die.. and Helos are annoying, but understandable.

Between the F-5E and the A-10 Late, which would you rather run?
I always run the F-5E if I’m gonna be playing the M1A1, may not have the same ordinance but it’s speed and flight performance more than make up for it
Both are good I would say, A-10 is tactical with 6 Mav D and thermal, and F-5E is more aggressive because it is supersonic.
Im trying to grind mods for f5e but the 12k repair cost makes it impossible

My tanks KD is average because I only enjoy tanks and play them seriously in big maps which are extreme minority in this game, while in small maps which are sadly the majority I just want two kills with my tank or one kill + cap to use my jet as fast as possible in such short battles.

anyone knows why does my tv on mig27m doesnt even track moving targets until i get very close?
Because all TV missiles like this, you need to be at around 6km or less to lock the moving vehicle not ground with Maverick B and Kh-29T, and Maverick A is even less, you need to be at 3km! While Maverick D is excluded, it can capture targets at around 12km, missiles stats and specifications are not the same.

Maverick is slow and against tanks is 90% a "hit"
Kh-29T has zoom in\out and it is the best TV missile in the game. Also the loadouts are like in real life .. bring me an in real life image that a Su-17M4 or MiG-27K carrying 4x Kh-29T.
the mavericks are good when used against vehicles with little armor, but against tanks and especially against the ERA they are not very useful, also note that 10.3 planes have the mavericks, A7 and A10, two vehicles that are not very fast or agile. The Kh29T are far superior

For me, personally I think only Pantsir S1 & Ka-50 are unfair in WT, Pantsir is broken because it has 20km range, 1300m\s speed missile with no RWR warning and not affected by chaff\flares, and the best SPAA missile to guide even after the new missiles dynamics, it is too modern for the current planes, right now only Russian planes can fly at high altitude in Ground RB, that means only USSR has effective CAS, that's the explanation of the high win rate of this nation in 11.7 battles .. and Ka-50 because it is a premium chopper with Vikhr, Vikhr missile should not be on a premium helicopter and should only be on a tech tree helicopter in my opinion.

Totally not pathetic, CAS is broken is need to be nerfed in ground RB.
It is already nerfed, try both SPAA & CAS with your hands and then judge which one is easier and less skill demanding to use in all aspects, starting from control key bindings, bugs, spawn points, awareness and tactical decisions.
Also, WT is like any PVP combined arms game like Battlefield or ARMA where tank can be killed by a plane and a plane can be killed by air defense .. and that's what is good about it.
@@Hunter_i86 i did try both, i have plenty of experience playing warthunder and CAS is just to much to handle Ina regular basis, and I don't want to play only AAA every game to avoid being killed by a KA-50 or a GBU launched by a F-16.
SP for planes carrying anti ground armament needs to be increased and SP for planes carrying only AA needs a slight buff, it costs 800 SP to spawn in a fully AA ready F-14 and that is ridiculous
