Theres the tourist side entrance but there's also a backside entrance to El Yunque. Thats where most of the locals visit and is full of waterfalls, water slides and swimming ponds. The views are breathtaking.
The south side is dangerous on your own, which is why it's best with an adventure guided tour. MONTANA EXPLORA is the tour company I used, but there are several.
My wife Graduated, and i surprised her with a trip to P.R. we leave on the 16th of May.. just want to say thank you for sharing this with us all. Now i dont have to wander to much. Great information
The north side of El Yunque is where most tourists visit. The south El Yunque is pretty spectacular, but is best experienced as part of a guided adventure tour. There is a popular swimming spot, which is definitely worth it called El Hippie. Also in Luquillo, look up Las Paylas. It's a natural water slide, with a great swimming hole at the lower level.
@@ventureawayvlogs Also, if you like waterfalls, there is Gozalandia in San Sebastian, which is pretty spectacular, and easily accessible. Also, Las Tinajas in Ceiba.
@@jayatnight2757 Yes as far as we know, we also found it very difficult to find any information online but if you show up at opening you should have no problems! Enjoy your visit it’s a beautiful spot!
That is stunning 😍

It’s called “Las Damas” if you follow the Angelito Trail it will take you right in to it! 😊
