Even if WG were to be generous and give the double barrel mechanics to other tanks, the 75mm gun wouldnt work at tier X, it simply couldnt pen a potato (except glass cannons of course)

It shouldn't be much but some compensation for bouncing thousands of damage should award something. Maybe a third of all damage done by the enemy team if blocked grants the same as one kill.
Maus certainly helped but it essentially came down to nobody on the enemy team willing to push that t95 and shout out to him for helping QB keep the enemy pinned in a postition where they didnt want to push or theyd lose half thier hp to 128mm and a 155mm shell

If it was an organised team willing to sacrifice hp to push (and also willing to ignore the fact they were going to need that hp for the rest of the team) then yes, they could have done it, but they would most likely lose anyway.
The Maus really has a high skillcap, now even more than some years ago. Sadly, the skill required to kill that thing has drasticly decreased, I have the feeling everyone shots in every matchup with Gold Ammo as standard ammuniton. I get hit in T2 battles in my Panzer II with Gold Ammo, this game is constantly going down the drain I feel. I don't like using my german heavys anymore, since it feels like their armor just isn't worth it anymore. Still was my first T10 in the Beta, was my first T10 after release, still my used T10 and still one of my all time favorites.
You can still bounce a lot of gold shells in that tank, depends if the enemy can aim or not, i still like the Maus, even in a bad game i block 2k, did the 12k combined mission in that tank
@@markuslukschick Hey so did I. It's just so much harder now, with all the rampant Heat and APCR Spam in every Tier, it makes it so much less fun to play something with armor. I drive a Leopard 1, the T10 Tank that has literally no armor, most HE Shells can pen me. Nope get hit with Heat 24/7 without a break in this rolling paper block. And instead of Wargaming going after this with the first Idea of reducing the Gold Ammo Damage by 30%, they now want to nerf HE. I guess there are still enough people who are willing to buy credits to cover their ammo cost.

I told wg so often the fastest way would be to just limitate the gold rounds, 20% of the total ammunition capacity can be carried as gold rounds, thats it, maybe a cap of max 12 or 15 shells if a tank has a great capacity. I'm also sceptical with the he changes, but if the do it and i dont like it i'm finally gone after 8 years
One of the reasons I quit the game...I used to love heavy tanks...but now they are just big slow xp farms...only fun heavy is the 112 because it's fast and when people start shooting gold you have the speed to run away...but it gets special match making so usually gold from tier 7s still can't Penn it...tier 9's even struggle with it's turret. I honestly think that's the only fun heavy in the game now...even the defender is screwed by tier 10 prem ammo
I have not played since the beta but the thing i remember about the Maus was a big target for the enemy artillery, they usually lost half of their hp before facing the enemy's I7

Judging by the volume of incoming fire, I'd say the Maus got a lot more attention than the T95. The armor on T95 isn't really that tough these days, especially at close range, with gold rounds flying all over the place.

Alex Fishboy! It was his radio operator not his commander and he was using a super heavy spalliner so it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t bring a med kit 90% of the time no other crew but radio operator will die, he played the maus on stream 10+ games and only his radio operator died

It kills me that the tactic you're describing is identical to the evolution of sapping towards a fortress with gabion and fascine, except you're doing it with tank armour instead of wicker baskets full of earth. Love the Maus.

The Armour is great, and the gun is great, but you can only have one of those things at a time. as soon as you turn your turret to shoot you are going to be penned. Making it mediocre. That's what I was trying to say. Unless you are bullying low tiers, then you are a god.
I play the Maus exactly the same way as QB does. It's quite incredible to be hammered in the Maus by arty and the super heavy spall liner can even bounce arty shells which is insane and trust me, once you bounce off arty shots enemy arty stops trying to hit you unless it's a tomato and doesn't care about the winrate. The Maus can keep the crew members relatively safe from arty. Vents and gun rammer plus super heavy spall liner are easily the best three you can have on and have Chocolate, Large Repair kit and Extinguiser.
Not to take away from you or anything, QB...but the real star in your first clip was the T95, and not you in the Maus. Sorry. When you retreated, he turned around and charged in and got to the hill to keep the entire enemy push proxy spotted for the snipers behind you, who in turn helped whittle down their HP. And yet despite staring down maybe 5 or 6 enemy tanks, he still came out alive with roughly 230hp, something very few if any other tanks in game could do, the Maus included. The Maus is solid for sure, but I'd still much rather face down a Maus any day of the week than turn a corner and see a T95 looking in my direction.
T-95's are easy to kill unless you are very slow, most tanks have the speed to close in and just turn around them. Granted you need to be smart when gap closing on not charging straight in the open
I used to love the maus back in the day... When the 50B came out I always platooned with a friend, my Maus and his 50B. For hours over hours. This was so much fun. Considering how the game is now... great, now I'm sad.
i love the mouse but i have to say the cheaks are a joke if u face rusian heavies of the same tier. in tier 10 gold amo maches the mouse is just a dmg farm
Russian heavies...i hear the same everywhere....Maus only needs AP to penetrate Is4 or is7 when these two tanks need definitely premium to pen the Maus. With the Maus you easily pen the top of the turret of the is4 or the upper plate of the is7, just because you see them from above.
I used my american fragments to jump up to the T37 in the light line as my brother gifted me a T92 premium and I absolutely loved it. Before this event, I had a single national fragment. Some balancing may need done with fragment drops.
nope no balancing needed, i skipped from emil 1 to kranvagn and also from tier 1 italian to tier 8 italian just with those fragments literally for free, no balancing needed it was fun and i felt rewarded for playing this year for once
The only thing i want them to do with blueprints is to make a way to convert national fragments to universal if you have the entirety of a nation already researched. With the Christmas event, I now have 70 swedish fragments and 50 czech fragments I'll never use.
Got the Maus a couple of years ago before they changed the tree, and it was godlike. Still turn to it when I need a mission fulfilled. The keys to wins are your teammates knowing what you are capable of and capitalizing on your abilities to distract and soak up so many shots that aren't directed at them. A Maus in the open is a magnet that will tunnel vision opponents like no other tank.
maus vs ap=inmune, vs apcr=almost inmune vs heat=armorless, also baiting shots to your turret only works vs stupid enemys, the turet traverse is too slow so they just wait for u to be aiming at em, then shoot the cheeks, 260 armor cant do anything vs any gold ammo
@@arencorparencorp2189 well man a chance of meeting 279 is pretty slim. Seems after ranked battles there are less of them in random. I twice raped 279 1vs1 in my obj 430u. Just clinched and both times 3 out of 4 of my shots when 279 penned me only 1 in both clinches. Both time i was on 700+ hp and obj on 1500+. Most of all i was surprised that on one occasion on Fishermen Bay i penned 2 blinds into 279 which was in the city on another side in brushes That's with 279 being on the same level of me not lower

Totally agree. Super underrated, mainly because people become so frustrated about having gold rounds spammed at them. But even then, it's only the Tier X's that are really going to challenge the armor if you're angling correctly. Lower tiered vehicles will still struggle with their premium rounds, and sometimes simply holding a position long enough and essentially sacrificing yourself for the win is the best strategy you can utilise. It is my go to tank for just about any of the HT missions.
i play maus a lot. not always that well because i'm an angry type with a.d.d so often find myself being wreckless. however, on those days where things are optimal this tank is a great load of fun. one thing you didn't mention is it's ability to push the friendly line high and also smashing through notorious choke points yields a lot of satisfaction. my fondest moment was when an is7 plowed into me at full speed and dealt eight or nine hundred damage to himself an instant before exploding. my hull changed alignment barely more than 1 degree. love the videos but don't complain so much about loot boxes, that was a painful watch to the end. i hope you are enjoying the 703, i knew you would get it. peace!
the maus rocks until people press 2 twice. sure if you angle your turret when sidescraping, you won't get penned, but then again you won't be able to retaliate. you will just wait until the enemy outnumbers you and then die miserably
@@archibaldhaddock3999 the gold changed wont change ANYTHING. it will just take longer to kill someone with gold OR someone will run out of gold sooner because it just deals less damage compared to your hp. it doesnt chage the fact that it grants you around 50% higher penetration. it also doesnt change the fact that the mouse gets instantly pen'd by gold as soon as it tried to fight back. the mouse is more often than not a rather weak choice due to the game mechanics of gold simply avoiding most of the Maus' strenghts, 90% of which is its armor. YES, the Maus is great and the best at stalling enemies. but nothing more. because sooner or later the maus will go down. even if it stays in its turtleposition , not firing at the enemy.
But take premium away and Maus and type 5 will roll games. Prem is balanced around armor (doesn’t mean people don’t spam it when they don’t need it). I rather have current prem rounds than the old super heavy meta. The increased alpha and hp are a bandaid fix so shitters complain less

o look thats me in type 5 heavy and i remember that i played that battle like an absolute potatoe... Honestly just looking at how i drove that type 5 is embarasing.... i mean sure i do remember seeing a Maus in a dip and be like yeah nop i cant do anything to that. but seriously no angling whatsoever and cmon its a big gun should of just fired HE.... so many mistakes from my side and while it sure did not help that the rest of the team were content with sitting in the open taking shots like that. after seeing myself from the sidelines i really prob should not play with type 5. I know its noob friendly but i find it much harder to influence the battle with it compared to any other tank that i have. and yeah 0 dmg game as i said i played as complete and utter potatoe drove out way to much no angling of armor and got hammered by the opposing team for doing so and bounced or missed all the shots i did....
And there is your best take away from that battle. Analysing your actions and changing them. I bet there would be a different outcome if you were put in a similar situation the next time you take it out. Well done for sharing your side of the battle!
Maybe it’s just me, but don’t skip the Tiger p as quickybaby said around 16:40. I absolutely love that tank. It has good view range, a good gun and workable armour. It only lacks speed I dare say. Though, everyone has their own preferences.
It's great to see the Superheavy Spall Liner get some love - especially on the Maus, opposed to the "Skill4u" strategy of optics/stabs/rammer on EVERYTHING, which inevitably includes the Maus. The Superheavy Spall Liner was made for this tank, the T95, and the predecessor VK.
IMO they should give the Maus the 2 barrel system as well 1 big 1 small with limited ammo kinda like those hunting guns with a added .22 barrel for putting down game.
I love running my Maus, it feels so satisfying listening to thousands of credits in gold ammo bouncing harmlessly off the Armour. The best part, because I am a hard headed idiot who plays on hard mode and only fires standard and HE, I make a profit while running it.
This video is old, I know, but the Tiger (P) can actually do quite a bit. IDK if it received an armor buff since the time of this video but if you can find a strong corner to hide your Copula and hull cheeks, there's very little that can break through those frontal plates, especially if you angle your turret away from incoming fire when reloading.
Hello Quicky. It's funny you show this today. Yesterday I platooned to help a clan mate out and for a break of grinding we played a tier 10. I took the Maus and completed my HT15 mission just having fun. blocked ove 6k did over 4k and spotted for just under 2. The Maus is beast in the right hands!... I got lucky:) Have a good one Bud.
Yaaay mighty mouse! Thank you QB, great coverage of an utterly glorious tank. This beast put the fear in me back when I first started playing and I always respected the dudes who could rock it, always wanted to try it myself but WG changed the tech tree when I was in the VK 45.02B so I have to re-grind the goddamn Tiger P again.
I haven't played WoT in years. My fondest memories are playing the Maus and E-75. Iirc, these tanks have the same gun. Just fun stuff, not about the damage, but locking down the enemy and letting the mediums get their guns working.
The Maus is an amazing doorstop. It can make even the best enemy offensive come to a screeching halt, giving the rest of your team time to get into position to take down the enemy team.
Glad the Maus is still relevant. On Karelia, defending an assault, I was in my Maus against mostly tier 8s -- this was still with old-school, full-strength ass-kicking arty, so I couldn't venture forth -- and I blocked 22,000 or more damage from tanks and TDs by hugging a rock. My team was shitty, so no vision, so I did practically no damage -- but I locked that side of the map down until arty finally nibbled me to death.
The super heavies in the ammo changes and hit point buff is going to be really nice the E100 will become somewhat relevant again and the Maus will become even better!
I just unlocked the maus the other day (I play on xbox) and I’m absolutely in love with it. The way it can take the worst of beatings in awesome. I was malinovka fighting on the hil and I had the majority of the enemy team firing at me. I wound up going down but not before I held up the enemy team long enough so our other flank came and won the game for us.
Got E100, with Christmas event have unlocked a few tiers up to being close to Maus. I know the 2 key still exists, but I feel maus likely won't be as frustrating to play as e100

12:32 talk about timing. Spall liner protects against 50% of non penetrating HE Damage? So that non penetrating shot from the FV 4005 would of done 1600+ without spall liner, I don’t think so.
I first did have a heavy spall liner and had my crew knocked out all the time..... I a lot better now since I put it in, ty on the tip on how I can improve my game play with the muas
I am currently working my way up to the t8 VK100.01 by means of free exp farming in the VK168.01(P). Learning a LOT about sidescrapping and wallhugging. I dont mind the slow speeds of the VK168. I feel it works better than some of the UK heavies.
That would obviously cause massive rigging = people signing late hours at the same time in a battle and then bouncing each other until the end of a round... Bad idea.
@@PanSmajl if you just gain the cost of the used shell against you this wouldn't be a problem, who is gonna bounce shots on your armor when the shooter has to pay them.
I may not play WoT, but I do play WoTB. And I have to say the Maus is so fun to play in WoTB. In most tanks you want to be dealing damage, probably while staying hidden or behind cover. In the Maus, you just want to put yourself right there in the middle of all the guns. And to play against it, ignore it until all the other tanks are dead, because the Maus' job is literally just to get the enemies to shoot it.
If the Jg Pz E100 had been where he thought it was gonna be, it could've easily penetrated the turret for 1/3 of his health, and he would've been stuck out in the open
If they decide to make the multi-turret system a priority, which it's sadly not currently, then maybe you can swap between the two, which seems like something WG would do tbh. But for now, we can all try our best to remind them the maus is already double-barrelled.

Well that’s when the maus really shines. Good team to back you up and a poor enemy team that doesn’t know how to penetrate or push you.

Not to take away from you or anything, QB...but the real star in your first clip was the T95, and not you in the Maus. Sorry.
When you retreated, he turned around and charged in and got to the hill to keep the entire enemy push proxy spotted for the snipers behind you, who in turn helped whittle down their HP. And yet despite staring down maybe 5 or 6 enemy tanks, he still came out alive with roughly 230hp, something very few if any other tanks in game could do, the Maus included.
The Maus is solid for sure, but I'd still much rather face down a Maus any day of the week than turn a corner and see a T95 looking in my direction.

T-95's are easy to kill unless you are very slow, most tanks have the speed to close in and just turn around them.

I used to love the maus back in the day... When the 50B came out I always platooned with a friend, my Maus and his 50B. For hours over hours. This was so much fun. Considering how the game is now... great, now I'm sad.

Russian heavies...i hear the same everywhere....Maus only needs AP to penetrate Is4 or is7 when these two tanks need definitely premium to pen the Maus. With the Maus you easily pen the top of the turret of the is4 or the upper plate of the is7, just because you see them from above.

I used my american fragments to jump up to the T37 in the light line as my brother gifted me a T92 premium and I absolutely loved it. Before this event, I had a single national fragment. Some balancing may need done with fragment drops.
nope no balancing needed, i skipped from emil 1 to kranvagn and also from tier 1 italian to tier 8 italian just with those fragments literally for free, no balancing needed it was fun and i felt rewarded for playing this year for once
The only thing i want them to do with blueprints is to make a way to convert national fragments to universal if you have the entirety of a nation already researched. With the Christmas event, I now have 70 swedish fragments and 50 czech fragments I'll never use.
Got the Maus a couple of years ago before they changed the tree, and it was godlike. Still turn to it when I need a mission fulfilled. The keys to wins are your teammates knowing what you are capable of and capitalizing on your abilities to distract and soak up so many shots that aren't directed at them. A Maus in the open is a magnet that will tunnel vision opponents like no other tank.
Maus is just a pinata that everyone shoots with HEAT. I wonder why we don't see any of these in ranked battles....
maus vs ap=inmune, vs apcr=almost inmune vs heat=armorless, also baiting shots to your turret only works vs stupid enemys, the turet traverse is too slow so they just wait for u to be aiming at em, then shoot the cheeks, 260 armor cant do anything vs any gold ammo

@@arencorparencorp2189 well man a chance of meeting 279 is pretty slim. Seems after ranked battles there are less of them in random. I twice raped 279 1vs1 in my obj 430u. Just clinched and both times 3 out of 4 of my shots when 279 penned me only 1 in both clinches. Both time i was on 700+ hp and obj on 1500+. Most of all i was surprised that on one occasion on Fishermen Bay i penned 2 blinds into 279 which was in the city on another side in brushes That's with 279 being on the same level of me not lower

Totally agree. Super underrated, mainly because people become so frustrated about having gold rounds spammed at them. But even then, it's only the Tier X's that are really going to challenge the armor if you're angling correctly. Lower tiered vehicles will still struggle with their premium rounds, and sometimes simply holding a position long enough and essentially sacrificing yourself for the win is the best strategy you can utilise. It is my go to tank for just about any of the HT missions.

i play maus a lot. not always that well because i'm an angry type with a.d.d so often find myself being wreckless. however, on those days where things are optimal this tank is a great load of fun. one thing you didn't mention is it's ability to push the friendly line high and also smashing through notorious choke points yields a lot of satisfaction. my fondest moment was when an is7 plowed into me at full speed and dealt eight or nine hundred damage to himself an instant before exploding. my hull changed alignment barely more than 1 degree. love the videos but don't complain so much about loot boxes, that was a painful watch to the end. i hope you are enjoying the 703, i knew you would get it. peace!
the maus rocks until people press 2 twice. sure if you angle your turret when sidescraping, you won't get penned, but then again you won't be able to retaliate. you will just wait until the enemy outnumbers you and then die miserably

@@archibaldhaddock3999 the gold changed wont change ANYTHING. it will just take longer to kill someone with gold OR someone will run out of gold sooner because it just deals less damage compared to your hp. it doesnt chage the fact that it grants you around 50% higher penetration. it also doesnt change the fact that the mouse gets instantly pen'd by gold as soon as it tried to fight back. the mouse is more often than not a rather weak choice due to the game mechanics of gold simply avoiding most of the Maus' strenghts, 90% of which is its armor.
YES, the Maus is great and the best at stalling enemies. but nothing more. because sooner or later the maus will go down. even if it stays in its turtleposition , not firing at the enemy.
But take premium away and Maus and type 5 will roll games. Prem is balanced around armor (doesn’t mean people don’t spam it when they don’t need it). I rather have current prem rounds than the old super heavy meta. The increased alpha and hp are a bandaid fix so shitters complain less

The problem with gold ammo isn't that it ruins some very specific tanks, the problem with gold ammo is that it ruins ALL tanks indiscriminately.
o look thats me in type 5 heavy and i remember that i played that battle like an absolute potatoe... Honestly just looking at how i drove that type 5 is embarasing.... i mean sure i do remember seeing a Maus in a dip and be like yeah nop i cant do anything to that. but seriously no angling whatsoever and cmon its a big gun should of just fired HE.... so many mistakes from my side and while it sure did not help that the rest of the team were content with sitting in the open taking shots like that. after seeing myself from the sidelines i really prob should not play with type 5. I know its noob friendly but i find it much harder to influence the battle with it compared to any other tank that i have. and yeah 0 dmg game as i said i played as complete and utter potatoe drove out way to much no angling of armor and got hammered by the opposing team for doing so and bounced or missed all the shots i did....

The problem is not earning these Tier X tanks, the problem is training crews for them, takes a lot of work but I still like the game.

It's great to see the Superheavy Spall Liner get some love - especially on the Maus, opposed to the "Skill4u" strategy of optics/stabs/rammer on EVERYTHING, which inevitably includes the Maus. The Superheavy Spall Liner was made for this tank, the T95, and the predecessor VK.

IMO they should give the Maus the 2 barrel system as well 1 big 1 small with limited ammo kinda like those hunting guns with a added .22 barrel for putting down game.
In a platoon a teammate and I picked the Maus. We held off 6 tanks by ourselves on the beach on Overlord.
I love running my Maus, it feels so satisfying listening to thousands of credits in gold ammo bouncing harmlessly off the Armour. The best part, because I am a hard headed idiot who plays on hard mode and only fires standard and HE, I make a profit while running it.

This video is old, I know, but the Tiger (P) can actually do quite a bit. IDK if it received an armor buff since the time of this video but if you can find a strong corner to hide your Copula and hull cheeks, there's very little that can break through those frontal plates, especially if you angle your turret away from incoming fire when reloading.

Hello Quicky. It's funny you show this today. Yesterday I platooned to help a clan mate out and for a break of grinding we played a tier 10. I took the Maus and completed my HT15 mission just having fun. blocked ove 6k did over 4k and spotted for just under 2. The Maus is beast in the right hands!... I got lucky:) Have a good one Bud.

This beast put the fear in me back when I first started playing and I always respected the dudes who could rock it, always wanted to try it myself but WG changed the tech tree when I was in the VK 45.02B so I have to re-grind the goddamn Tiger P again.
I haven't played WoT in years. My fondest memories are playing the Maus and E-75. Iirc, these tanks have the same gun. Just fun stuff, not about the damage, but locking down the enemy and letting the mediums get their guns working.
The Maus is an amazing doorstop. It can make even the best enemy offensive come to a screeching halt, giving the rest of your team time to get into position to take down the enemy team.
Glad the Maus is still relevant. On Karelia, defending an assault, I was in my Maus against mostly tier 8s -- this was still with old-school, full-strength ass-kicking arty, so I couldn't venture forth -- and I blocked 22,000 or more damage from tanks and TDs by hugging a rock. My team was shitty, so no vision, so I did practically no damage -- but I locked that side of the map down until arty finally nibbled me to death.
He had to explain his high rating in the tier list :-D

I see a lot of tier 10 players who barely scrape 2k in the games I play.
The super heavies in the ammo changes and hit point buff is going to be really nice the E100 will become somewhat relevant again and the Maus will become even better!
I just unlocked the maus the other day (I play on xbox) and I’m absolutely in love with it. The way it can take the worst of beatings in awesome. I was malinovka fighting on the hil and I had the majority of the enemy team firing at me. I wound up going down but not before I held up the enemy team long enough so our other flank came and won the game for us.
That C9 position on Mines is only workable when you hold the hill as well
I often deliberately allow myself to get shot at in the Maus because if they are bouncing me they aren't damaging my team mates.

Got E100, with Christmas event have unlocked a few tiers up to being close to Maus. I know the 2 key still exists, but I feel maus likely won't be as frustrating to play as e100

12:32 talk about timing. Spall liner protects against 50% of non penetrating HE Damage? So that non penetrating shot from the FV 4005 would of done 1600+ without spall liner, I don’t think so.
I first did have a heavy spall liner and had my crew knocked out all the time..... I a lot better now since I put it in, ty on the tip on how I can improve my game play with the muas

I am currently working my way up to the t8 VK100.01 by means of free exp farming in the VK168.01(P). Learning a LOT about sidescrapping and wallhugging. I dont mind the slow speeds of the VK168. I feel it works better than some of the UK heavies.

Yeah, that should be rewarded, and people been saying it to wg for years. But, there is only two badges for it, no xp or credit reward.
That would obviously cause massive rigging = people signing late hours at the same time in a battle and then bouncing each other until the end of a round... Bad idea.
@@PanSmajl if you just gain the cost of the used shell against you this wouldn't be a problem, who is gonna bounce shots on your armor when the shooter has to pay them.

I may not play WoT, but I do play WoTB. And I have to say the Maus is so fun to play in WoTB. In most tanks you want to be dealing damage, probably while staying hidden or behind cover. In the Maus, you just want to put yourself right there in the middle of all the guns. And to play against it, ignore it until all the other tanks are dead, because the Maus' job is literally just to get the enemies to shoot it.

Just a heads up for everyone. The standard B does not require the second turret to have the biggest gun. Gun comes before the turret
If the Jg Pz E100 had been where he thought it was gonna be, it could've easily penetrated the turret for 1/3 of his health, and he would've been stuck out in the open

Well, on standard B the stock turet do not means stock gun. The top turet comes after the gun.
The problem with the maus is that peaple generally rush your back even if they are alone and you can do nothing because your team never help you

If they decide to make the multi-turret system a priority, which it's sadly not currently, then maybe you can swap between the two, which seems like something WG would do tbh. But for now, we can all try our best to remind them the maus is already double-barrelled.
