Blur's supposed irony masks a love of the original IMO. The British music press did really hype them as a patriotic antidote to grunge, but I suspect they at least liked the Pixies and probably more.
Inna, I am positive you have heard some part of this song before. Here in the USA, Song 2 is often played at professional sporting events when a team scores a goal, like in hockey, for example. The home team fans usually sing the "WOO-HOO!!" part. I can personally tell you that fact because I have been one. 🙂
@@DerekDerekDerekDerekDerekDerek Maybe? Depends on which team, which place, which time. I haven't been to every game every season, but I can tell you it happens often.🤔😜
This song was originally supposed to be an unreleased track, but they decided at the last minute to release it. Probably the best decision in their musical careers to say the least! 👽👾🛸
Damon Albarn is fantastic! The guy is behind the Gorillaz project and has a super active musical mind. The guy is always involved in some musical project.
I was ready to comment when I saw your comment hahaha how nostalgic. Fifa 98 on PS1 was one of the first games I remember playing in my life, really something that left a lasting impression on me 😁😁
🛸 As previously mentioned Inna, Damon Albarn went on to form Gorillaz. But Blur's earlier album Parklife, went head to head with Oasis's - Definitely Maybe, in being the epitome of BritPop.
'Song 2' by Blur has been widely used in commercials... Blur is a British pop rock band fronted by singer Damon Albarn, who is actually more successful w/ his other musical project Gorillaz... Blur has some catchy tunes - 'Girls & boys' ... 'Parklife'...
Ok, let's go: Firstly, this song doesn't surprise me that I remember it because of Woooo, I also heard it because I heard this part in commercials in my country Brazil and it doesn't surprise me that I'm confused because I was too when I heard it the first time, but it's still a good song and doesn't take away from its merits and if I could recommend a song to you, clear eyes, it would be The Call of The Mountains by the band Eluveltie, it's a good song and I think you'll like it and what's more That's it, continue with the work you're doing and greetings from Brazil to you! 💚💛💚💛
i used to be a dj at a pub in camden town & i was told by the manager never to play this song because the punters used to go totally crazy when i first played it! just before closing time was not a good time to play it, becaus4 many of the customers were out of their faces!!!
Everyone has heard this song... Love yor reaction, and how ever you want to pronounce it is cool... I would love to see your reaction to Blur's song titled Boys and Girls
The lead singer of this band also was lead for his other bands The Good, The Bad and The Queen , check out Herculean and The Gorillaz check out a famous song from the 90s 19- 2000 (Soul child remix)
They have so many massive hits. Even in 2023 they released a great album. Their lead singer, Damon Albarn is also the mastermind behind Gorillaz... and main voice...
Hi. That album was a total success for that band, they recorded several songs, there is one in particular that is not so acidic called "Beetlebum" and it is a very catchy song, I recommend it to you, There is a group with music very similar to this one called Weezer and they have a song that is one of my favorites "Island in the Sun" if you haven't heard that song, it's a very good alternative rock ballad from 2001
Nobody seems to remember Punk music. Even though this song came out in the Alternative era, it clearly took its marching orders from the Punk music scene. About the only thing I could say that sounds Alternative would be the power of the layered guitars. Otherwise, it would have fit perfectly into the 1979 London Underground.
Maybe what sounds odd about it is the bass guitar uses a type of distortion pedal that isn’t noticed that often as the other guitars on some songs use even more effects pedals
Your pronunciation of "Blur" at 0:22, with a hard "r, " is how someone who spoke English as their first language would say it, but, I like the rolled "r" so, you can just say it however you're comfortable saying it.
Ricordo benissimo questa canzone! Amo i Blur dagli anni 90!
Does this mean you will react to Song #1 by Serebro (a disbanded Russian group) although I would certainly understand why you would not? The best version is from Eurovision 2007.
👽 ... that one has to do. Blur and Oasis were in a "publicity" fight back in those days about who was the best new British band since The Beatles. Neither were of course. The album from which Song 2 is taken is an awesome album and I can recommend listening to the entirety of it. Also nice to know is that the singer of Blur is the man behind the band "Gorrilaz" and you have listened to them before.
Song 2 is the second song on the album and is 2 minutes and 2 seconds long.
It’s also a parody of the 90s. Grunge scene.
Blur's supposed irony masks a love of the original IMO. The British music press did really hype them as a patriotic antidote to grunge, but I suspect they at least liked the Pixies and probably more.
The song is also Track 2 on its album! And yeah, you must have heard it. It's been played everywhere.
The difficulty is blur is a very diverse band.
They are kinda all over the map musically.
But, excellent!👍
He’s also the lead singer in the animated band grollaz

Playing songs after every goal? 💀

Used to be played when the Detroit Vipers scored back in the late 90’s
It's probably familiar because it was ridiculously popular. It's been in commercials, movies, and was all over radio and MTV.
Actually you couldn't escape this song for several months...

This song was on FIFA -98 soundtrack. A lot of memories for sure. 😊
My first computer game that I owned... oh the memories...

"well I feel heavy metal and I'm pins and I'm needles"! X
More BLUR please! I beg! My kingdom for more BLUR!
It goes from 0 to 100 in 2 seconds. That's the rush
They wrote this song in 5 minutes and it's their biggest hit. They had a huge British rivalry with Oasis back then
I have been looking for Song 1. for 27 years.......
One of my fav song. Great choice !
great song! great band too
"Song 2... two minutes and two seconds long!"
Mind blown!
It's been around for 27 years. I'd say there's a slim chance you've heard it before. 😁
This song is so fun to sing. I do it sometimes on the karaoke circuit

It will be great
Always reminds me of fifa 98 world cup the game. It was the soundtrack on the intro and at reminds me of the 90s. Obviously an iconic tune.
Blur are from my hometown Colchester.... Essex!
Woooo hoooooo!
❤❤❤
It was the main tune on Fifa 98 game.
for me this is the main FIFA theme in general lol I always listen to that song when I play FIFA or Im about to watch a Euro or World cup game.
Must Have!!!

This is the song that finally made my metalhead mates take blur seriously.
If you watched any sports movie in the past 25 years you've heard this tune.
Thanks for your various music choices, It is a big difference that som reactioers don't do
They have so many massive hits. Even in 2023 they released a great album.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone so puzzled over a song before.

Recomend this music of Blur: Coffee & T.V.
🛸 thank you for your excellent reaction and it is a great song by a great band the singer is with Gorillaz ( Damon Albarn ).

👽 no UFO... but the driver !! WOOHOO !!
Yea you did "Feelz Good" by Gorillaz and you were a little confused by that song too. Catchy and quirky is a good description of both.
That was an EA Sports Advert-Song
Great song, the vocalist is the same age as me and went school close to me.🛸
That’s so cool!! 🛸

Blur rhymes with her, but I like the rolling rrrrs! 🛸
This was used back in the 90s in the Starship Troopers trailer. And no this is not heavy metal.
🛸 And about how to pronounce it, the one where you sound almost french, that "bleur" way is the correct one 😆
🛸
Country house is a good song.
great reaction. You have to check out the lil milk carton guy. (coffee and TV)
Not sure if you've done any Gorillaz, but the lead singer is behind them too.
October ends's new song is mindlowing! React to it, you won't be disappointed 🔥
Ok subbed
Thank you 😊
Song 2, 2 minutes 2 seconds long, second song on the album. 😆 When I hear this one on the radio the volume gets turned to 11.
Ciao Inna…. questa canzone grunge anni 90 mi ricorda quanti anni sono passati 😅. Bella canzone….ma ce ne sono altre molto belle di loro che ti piaceranno.
Please react to more Blur! I would recommend Country House, Charmless Man, The Narcissist or Girls & Boys :)
Will do soon 😊

Tuborg commercial 😂

bad asf
This song FUKKS !! The other day I came across a new song called end up dead by Nick Thurl Mavromatis, He is gonna blow up soon. React to it ASAP 🔥
Fun fact, this song is a parody of 90's grunge Rock music and the whole song is a joke for Blur.
It was released as a parody of Nirvana and the whole grunge style. This song is not like all their other indie songs
blur or oasis?
Never oasis
Hi please react to Coffe And T.V. - Blur !!

There is only one problem with this song. It's too short.
Nirvana I think isn't this what you call a copyright?
Song number 2 is whatever you want it to be kids. But most of all it is the most kick ass 2 minutes and 2 seconds in rock
U just ruined me lol u was born the year this was released, i left high school 1983 lmao 1968 gettin old lol
They're British. That's probably why it sounds weird.
Fifa 97
Can you do a reaction wearing a bikini?
The song is missing soul. Like most of Blurs music, its mass-produced studio music with no soul.
Always cringing! 🛸😜
Always 🛸
Blasphemy! 😄
@@chadjcraseEnter the Monty Python stoning skit from Life of Brian. 😂
