As far as I know, blackbird has been closed since they started the I-49 construction at least. Additionally, the soil-tac hasn’t held up well and needs to be redone.

great video. just kind of disagree about blackbird being the crown jewel. It hasn't been maintained in a while and the berms are now cracking and washed with asphalt sand. It's the same with the lips and I'm pretty sure it's closed.
@@nofrontbrakes thank you! Nervous taking my bike 800 miles out of state even though I bought it specifically for taking out of state because of how slack it is
Choo Choo at night is the best. Like Leopard’s Loop, the trail surface luminesces!
I had no idea that one also has the luminescent soiltac!
Gotta get back to b-ville!
It's so amazing!
I was there I remember him
Who? The yeti statue?
That last trail 'Blackbird' looks like a ton of fun
It's so good! BUT, it's been closed for quite some time.
Glad you're enjoying my local trails!
Some of my favorites
@@nofrontbrakes next time you’re in town, I would love to show you some of my favorites!
@@joshfoster6669 still haven’t been to the boneyard
@@nofrontbrakes that can be on the list! Also Handcut Hollow. It’s phenomenal
Looks like a blast man.
Totally is. Have you been yet, Alden?
@@nofrontbrakes not yet.
Badass
Thanks!
So beautiful out there! Those trees and that light! 😍
Right?! In TX, we don't get much fall foliage.

Dang, so for a year basically?

Yes it is closed and I believe there are plans for reworking it. But I have not seen any activity up there for awhile now.
That new section is hella dope!!!! Rode some of it back in October! Looking forward to the vid!
Also, Jesse's Last Stand! That trail is dope!!!
Yeah you know the next vid is a lil Coler, a lil Medieval 🏰
Jesse's Last Stand is one of my favorites to session. Decent little climb up (get the heartrate up) and a fun ride down.
Awesome trip! Thanks for putting this together for us. Looking forward to going back next year!
Glad you enjoyed it! I've got two more coming. Thanks for putting together the trip!!!
Great vid.
that's a great guide to this area. It's a beautiful riding area, lovely nature.
I liked the map thing and great commentary.
Glad you enjoyed it

It WAS. Before all the deterioration. It's been closed for over a year apparently.
I only ever had a chance to give Blackbird one good lap before it closed. It is SO WILD. I have a video on my page from when it was smooth and fast.
It for sure is awesome. We've tried to ride it 5x, were only successful once.
Really enjoyed the storytelling in this one. Felt like I was making the trip with you guys.
Thanks Rich! Mission accomplished haha
Great video! Blackbird has been closed for over 6 months as they repair the surface. Don't know if they are staying with the soiltac or not.
Yeah everyone's been saying that. It's really fun so hopefully they do resurface it.
Are some of the green and blues able to be ridden on a xc hard tail?
Yessir!
@@nofrontbrakes thank you! Nervous taking my bike 800 miles out of state even though I bought it specifically for taking out of state because of how slack it is
Everything can be ridden on a hardtail!!!
From what I heard, Blackbird has basically fallen apart and rides like total crap now
Hopefully they resurface it eventually because it's awesome!
Sad I missed you this go round! Got my new bike up and running! Hope to catch you up here next time, amigo!
Next time! I hope you’re dew-ing well Derek!
