This might sound a little crazy but I think Gareth Barry is a good shout for this list ahead of Gary Speed. He's about to take Giggsy's record of most PL appearances ever. Admittedly he's never been spectacular but he has consistently played at a high level for 20 years now. He does have a premier league winners medal as well.
p.s. I'm aware Gary Speed won a first division title at Leeds in 1992 but i'm excluding that as it's pre-premier league era.

Gerrard was known for hit and hope long shots, and Hollywood passes to the wings. The slip epitomised his career, falling short of greatness. Keane was a better captain and defensively, Scholes a better passer, shooter and dictator of play, Lampard was a better goalscorer. Scholes was a glorified jack of all trades, rated by Liverpool fans because they've had mediocre players for so long. Still decent tho.
