I love eels you have to keep him for sure. And I have the perfect name Noodles lol or Neil. Neil the eel. It is fun watching them grow up. Cause you can work with them a lot earlier and get them to be more docile by the time they are adults and are larger in size.
You should get lights to put around the dock: At night, they will attract insects, then small fish, then larger fish! I even saw a video of one with a tarpon that routinenly stopped by it!
Outside for sure needs to stay the community especially if u plan on adding more coral and anemones! The real sunlight is a big factor ! And make the garage one a mini predator pond

I LOVE Moray eels. I could watch divers petting eels videos all day every day! I hope one or both of your eels become affectionate one day and you can go from having cool eels to having adorable ribbon buddies❤.
Make sure you have some air holes drilled in the plastic lid for the pond. Without it the ph and oxygen level will drop extremely quickly and everytime you open the lid the ammonia will rise and same with ph which is going to stress/kill everything inside
You really need a security camera in your garage that you can check while away to prevent animals being out of water king or notice issues as well as someone possibly stealing something. Might be something to look into
I don't move fish unless I have too, just seems like unnecessary risk. I say leave the Moray in the tank and keep the reef stuff outside as you have it now. 😊

I agree. Outside becomes new indoor mini and Outside becomes new mini predator. So what if you do small octopus and small eels in outside pond? Snowflake, the baby moray, baby chain, etc. Move the coral, anemones, clowns into the new garage mini.

I would make the inside one a reef tank cuz u need to have that lid on it which would make it pretty inconvenient for feedings (and even better for lights for the reef)
If you put the plexiglas on top, you really need to airate the pond! If you have a power outage, your fish will die if you put the plexiglas on top. There should always be a posibility for the water to exchange the gasses in the water to fresh air. If you block this, the fish will die because there is not enough oxigen in the water
