My stance on bootlegs is basically this: can you get the product anywhere else? -When XSmart released there Withered Plushies, no official ones existed. -The XSmart style is in line with the classic fnaf plush style, while Hex and YouTooz have more stylistic styles (not saying that’s bad thing, but I just prefer the classic plush style) -XSmart had made many other characters official companies haven’t (IN THAT STYLE) such as Frost Plushtrap, Easter Bonnie, Withered Golden Freddy, and Shadow Bonnie
Especially when the only other option for FNaF Plushies that may be for a good price is Jazwares. And they're terrible. I heard they also have very bad quality control, so there's that.

I feel the same way. if the bootleg product in question features an IP that a huge company owns, while also improving on aspects of its official counterpart, the money spent on that product would not have made a difference if it went to the company instead. not to mention, bootleg products are often the only merch that fans are able to afford. the problem for me arises when you're buying something with a stolen design from an independent/small artist. the same goes for digital media. pirate disney movies and adobe software all you want, but pay indie creators for their goods.

I have all 4 Xsmart Withered plushies and while I avoid buying bootlegs and non licensed products, I let these slide because of how good they are with the details, features, and appearance.

Funnily enough, where I live the XSmart plushies are actually just as expensive if not more so than Youtooz. I just bought some bootlegs of the XSmart bootlegs. I have no doubt they won't look nearly as good but I don't descriminate. All plushies are beautiful. I'm just glad that I'll finally have the characters at all.

It’s interesting how a lot of these comments just don’t care about law, and instead are saying it’s completely okay to steal someone’s copyrighted material and sell it for massive profits if it looks barely better. Apparently it’s okay to break the law if a product is cheap and you like it.
ngl youtooz as a company have always rubbed me the wrong way. it's cool that they assist in small creators making money by creating and selling merch with their characters, but their social media marketing is so obnoxiously "hip with the kids" and sassy that I couldn't help but associate the company itself with that self-centeredness. and I'm glad to have been proven right.
"market confusion" my ass, even a newborn could tell the difference between their and xsmart's designs. they're only doing this because they're the only ones (aside from hex) who have official plush toys of these characters for sale in the first place, meaning that there's a greater chance of competition.
Yeah, youtooz has a very unique desing for their plushes. Those stupid funkopop ass eyes are very distinquishable.

As the CEO of bootlegs, I am internally conflicted.
I have all 4 Xsmart Withered plushies and while I avoid buying bootlegs and non licensed products, I let these slide because of how good they are with the details, features, and appearance.

Funnily enough, where I live the XSmart plushies are actually just as expensive if not more so than Youtooz. I just bought some bootlegs of the XSmart bootlegs. I have no doubt they won't look nearly as good but I don't descriminate. All plushies are beautiful. I'm just glad that I'll finally have the characters at all.
Just make good product and it will sell, no need to have an aneurism when someone else cares more about the collectables they create
