It always amazes me how much bass you can get from small woofers like these, it just shows how important box design is.
I'm trying to design and build my very first ported box for a single 12 at the moment but it's complicated, I'm desperately hoping I've got my calculations right but won't really know until it's finished.
No Lie this was one of your best videos because in the time lapse that was wise that you explain what you were doing.Then all the different angles you were doing and you was a one show that was cool I appreciate that. You took the time just to show us you putting some speakers on the bench LOL. Those are gonna sound so damn good in that truck. Smooth, accurate, and plenty loud. Quick transients, and the ability to get low, that's a nice combo!

Could of series’d each set of three to 3 ohm then paralleled the two sets of three down to 1.5ohm.
I figured I’d be using a hardy amp that could handle less than an ohm anyway but if it starts going into protect mode in the future this could be an option. 🤘🏻

gotcha...but i would rather run .67 and get that extra power from the amp if it can take it...and so far, it takes it like a champ. I will raise it if it starts to become a problem for sure.

40 Hz tuned boxes slap hard on the low highs
My first decent system had 3 6W0’s at 12 ohms a piece wired to 4 ohm in a JL spec slot ported box. That little system amazed people with how good it sounded.

2 x 2 Ohm in series is 4 Ohm.. do that 3 times and connect all in paralel That way you have 1.33 Ohms-its good for the amp!

That sub box reminds me of the Revel Ultima2 series speakers, I love it. I love to someday have dual 12 inch subwoofers in a ported box with a design inspired from that sub box.
I just bought two B2 Rage 2500.1s and will be running them on two B2 Rage XL 18s for 1 ohm each.

With all the subwoofers connected u would be surprised that the resting rise could be at 1 ohm even though you wired to .33! same thing happened to me when I wired my 6 dc audio level 1s and strapped the amps at .67. my fluke read over 1 ohm resting. Haven't seen this system in a while Steve !

I've always found 40-45hz to be a good tuning frequency for my car audio builds. I tend to listen to a lot of "real instrument" type music, and it really helps bring it to life. Don't get me wrong, I love my 90s nostalgia; Bass 305, Bass Patrol, Street Beat Krew, etc., and a well-built box with the right woofers will still get low, but there's something to be said for building a system to suit your needs. :)

You're safe with that setup. Subs in operation can never be at their ohm ratings due to the coil reacting to the motor. And box rise.

had my ear buds in dam those things sound so smooth definitely louder than i expected love that box was considering getting one for my 16 crew cab sierra but idk 1k is hard to spend on just a box but it is dam sure worth it that thing is beautiful

Svs is a good brand but highly overpriced like Klipsch etc
My Room was vibrating on a basic bose soundlink system in my computer lol when that tone generator came on nice I bet those things sound good, soon i hope to build a similar system to that but with maybe only 2 6.5s Sounddowns just to boost the base a little in my SUV and keep em under the rear seat to keep the full trunk for functionality!
this is cool. I'm a fan of small subs. I have 4 6" dvc's going in the doors of my stang wired to 2 ohms powered by a punch 500. should make the mirrors jiggle lol. I'd like to see you do more with the small stuff. I'm sure the boxes would be awesome.
