I've purchased several of these. When they work, they work great, but once I have to change the batteries out they no longer work. They last six months to a year and then they have to be thrown away because they won't light up any longer.
so i got one of these and it turns on during day or night and i love it. I tried buying more and they ALL only light up at night in the dark! I have been unable to find the ones that light up at anytime, all of amazon's just light up in dark only. I got the good one that lights up at anytime at Marshall's for $5. Literally impossible to find the original ones without the "works in dark only" feature

warning, if you have any kind of toilet bowl no matter what company it from. do not accidently drop the whole thing in the toilet or it will not work anymore.
These are junk and don’t last. Don’t waste your money. I helped with their kickstarter and it’s almost there but ended up being junk even when given the next gen.
Please look into speech therapy. I'm not trying to be mean but your inability to say "s" or "t" (basically any sound requiring the tip of tongue to connect near/with behind front teeth), is incredibly disturbing.

you could try opening it up then covering the day/night sensor with black tape
I was about to suggest the same as the above person. You just kinda have to block the light sensor and it should work in the daylight.
