A few things definitely need to happen for Parramore in the near future. Starting with more revitalization and restoration projects. I would also love to see the name of Division Avenue changed to something like Together Street. And I would like to see surrounding communities reach out and embrace Parramore more like Little NOLA. There are a lot of good places to eat there and there should be even more. Another thing Parramore could greatly benefit from is better street and sidewalk lighting. However, nothing it seems will happen unless more of Orlando's leaders are onboard.
I 100% agree. I know there are some revitalization projects being proposed. The re-naming of Division Avenue received some attention in 2020, but that seems to have faded from political memory (a cycle that repeats every few years, it seems).
There are big plans to "gentrify" this entire area. Any lower income/non income residents will be pushed out of the area and further into the sprawling suburbs.
