Alec, you should wear ear plugs when welding, especially for overhead. The weld beads can do more than just be painful, they can cause deafness, even the permanent kind. No more pod casts. Just silence. The earplugs will melt a bit and catch the weld beads instead of the insides of your ears. It is also safety code in the USA to wear ear protection while welding for this exact reason and several others. Since you are in the UK, I think you need to kill a raven and then spread it's blood on the nearest widow's house and your front window sills for protection.

Alec, Jamie, I cannot quite express the joy I experienced from seeing the little "flame straightening" clip you made to look like a horrible 1980's instructional video, since I have used quite a few of YOUR videos to demonstrate to people who are used to such wretched old productions how amazing instructional videos can be. I should probably emphasize that while Alec is an excellent subject, those demonstrations almost always center around what Jamie is doing - from camera angles, shot composition, editing, music, etc., etc. You guys flipped the table on me with this one!
Less than one minute in and I know this is gonna be a good one.

Anyone else getting "A-Team build montage" vibes in this episode? I'm beginning to think I enjoy these build the stuff to make the other stuff work videos almost more then the blacksmithing stuff. Its weird I came to watch Alex make cool swords now I stick around to watch him make all the stuff he needs to make the cool swords. Blacksmiths are a heck of a breed, they can make all the equipment and tooling needed to make their stuff work. just give them a Lithe, forge, and a Mill and they can make everything else. My hats off to you.
