  • Time to leave Thailand!! First time I do the famous boarder bounce/visa run. (Last time I went to Cambodia and was away for days).
    Have to say I was impressed by how speedy the whole process was. Recommended!
    If on Koh Tao you can book this journey through Island Travel (4,000 baht).
    share/imhbUr...
    Please subscribe for the ride! Lots of island adventures to come on Koh Tao as well as travelling bits of SE Asia. Also some Thailand information videos coming your way soon!
    Thanks for watching! This really is such a wonderful adventure after 16.5 years of solo parenting in London!
    New episode (hopefully every) Sunday - see you then!

    I was just in Thailand .I went to Hua Hin Bangkok and Koh Samui.The Thai people are just so respectful and kind.Now those floor toilets i think i have been facing the wrong way when i get on ..Do you face the wall and squat or do you face the door.Im five foot 8 and have terrible trouble linning up to do the business if you know what mean

      Hi! Thanks for watching and apologies for slow reply!
      Facing the wall (with the cistern) for a no.1 works a charm! I can't squat properly..... (I face the door for a no.2 - sorry if TMI!). Hope that helps!

      Hi Terry! Sorry for late reply....
      Burma really was quick. I crossed a road and entered a shop, then was ushered back on the boat! With the troubles there at the moment, we are lucky to be able to go over the boarder - the one up North is closed and you have to go to Laos instead. Thanks for watching and commenting! Have a fab Sunday and week ahead!

    That looked like hell of a trek. Thailand really doesn't do itself any favours with its quirky visa rules. I don't know if you've ever covered this but do you intend to remain in Thailand indefinitely? There are some more expensive visa options which would dispense the need for these kinds of trips.
    Have fun for us.

      Hi! Great to hear from you. I will be here as long as they will have me! My son is studying here so I am hoping to get on his Education Visa shortly. Must be in same country as him! Yes, the elite visa is sadly out of reach. I think Thailand is the only country that makes you want to be 50 so you can get a Retirement visa! Shall update on the situation as it changes! Thanks for watching as always! x

    Fun video! Super cute personality! Can I ask why you jam it into 24 hours? Why not stay overnight in Burma and make it a fun and a bit less exhausting weekend adventure?

      Hi! Thanks for watching and apologies for slow reply.
      Burma/Myanmar is sadly not really open to visitors at the moment. The war is still going on and I am told that the boarder up North is closed and people have to go to Laos instead. I will definitely be doing more travels rather than doing this bounce. But it is currently the easiest way for me to extend my stay in Thailand. Last time I enjoyed 10 days in Cambodia!

    how many Visa extensions did you do before they refused and consider you living there ? I'm coming out in August for 5 months was considering flying to KL after 2 months

    • @CAG-TV
      @CAG-TV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am not sure how many times they will let me... Nobody knows.
      It is a worry and I am hoping to get on my son's Education visa soon - as he studies full time in Thailand.
      You have 2 clear options for your 5 months:
      Do the eVisa (pay £150 + your flight to KL + fill in the forms with correct photo + 1 visa extension)
      Now you only need to take the KL flight and do what you were planning there and you can return for the rest of your 5 month stay.
      or
      Do visa on arrival and do 2 visa renewals & 2 visa runs during your stay. 4000 Baht per visa run if you do it land like me.
      1,900 Baht for 30 day visa extension for both options.
      Hope that helps?

    is this after you initially had a 90 visa or just the 30 days you get at the airport?

    • @CAG-TV
      @CAG-TV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. On a normal Tourist Visa you get 30 days on arrival for no money, can then extend for a further 30 days at immigration for 1,900 Baht. Giving you 60 days in Thailand.
      Then you need to leave the country.
      If on an eVisa (like I was in the beginning - £150 in my country) you get 60 days on arrival + extend for further 30 days = 90 days.
      Then you need to leave Thailand. This visa is valid for 6 months from issue date and you need to prove you are leaving the country with an onward flight.
      Hope this helps - but you need to check the rules for your own home country to be safe.
      Thanks for watching!

      @@CAG-TV Hi! Thanks a lot for your response! i was also looking at the £150 evisa, but i noticed in the small print it said you could only be in thailand for 90 days out of every 180 per year or something, thats why i was wondering if the border run was still possible on that visa. Which you did, right? So you basically get another 30 when you re-enter? DO you know if you can extend that also or you just have to leave and re-enter? Sorry for all the questions but its difficult to find definitive answers about this online. Thanks for you time :)

    • @CAG-TV
      @CAG-TV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. The eVisa only allows you to stay 90 days before leaving the country. (30 more than visa on arrival)
      60 days when you arrive + 30 days extension. Then you have to leave. I went to Cambodia. Or you could do the visa run.
      Then you get another 60 days when you renter Thailand & are able to extend for a further 30 before having to leave again.

    • @CAG-TV
      @CAG-TV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can extend both types of Tourist visa by 30 days before having to leave.
      Hope that helps?!
      If you come to Koh Tao - do contact Island Travel about your visa runs - they are super helpful. Link in description.

      I don’t think so. Possible but certainly not guaranteed. I know that immigration are getting stricter and stricter.
      I’m not really in a position to advise. But from what I can see is that it became more relaxed over Covid but now the country is at times over saturated with tourists, it is getting stricter.
      I never came here planning to stay on a tourist visa so long. A missing piece of vital paperwork has been found so I can hopefully attach to my Son’s Education Visa as his guardian shortly. Not helpful to most viewers…
      I see people having to leave Thailand (they were warned when re-entering the country that it was the last time).
      It also depends on how the person in immigration is feeling the day you meet them….
      Sadly nothing can be guaranteed but it is a testament to the country that we all go through this bother to stay!
      Thanks for watching!
