I really like the 86 Transformers soundtrack, especially Dare, Instruments of Destruction and The Touch, and the Lost Boys Soundtrack, especially Cry Little Sister, People Are Strange, Don't Let The Sun Down On Me, Power Play... 1. WIll You Be There from Free WIlly by Michael Jackson. Often overlook, this is one emotional song.
    2. Pretty Wman from Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison. IS there any more recognisable song from the movie?
    3. Dance Magic Dance from Labyrinth and equally Underground.
    4. Singing In the Rain from Singing in the Rain.
    5. Against All Odds (from Against All Odds) by Phil COllins.

"Will You Be There" by Michael Jackson from Free Willy deserved to be somewhere on this list. I'm not saying top 10 but it's the literal King of Pop performing a song for a movie that became a bit of a cultural phenomenon. It inspired several sequels and led to a push to free Keiko, the whale that played Willy. Plus the song was performed at Michael Jackson's own memorial.

Lebo M. and Carmen Twillie versus Elton John for the best version of “Circle of Life”: both are great, but the added lines in Elton’s version make the song deeper. “Some say, ‘Eat or be eaten.’ / Some say, ‘Live and let live.’ But all are agreed, as they join the stampede, / You should never take more than you give.” And that’s from the first verse. Per the second verse of the latter, “Some of us fall by the wayside, / And some of us soar to the stars, / And some of us sail through our troubles, / And some have to live with the scars.”
