@@regina77phalange I tried it 10 times. Only found horses on 2 of them. Kentucky Saddlers or Morgans. I drawned in my first attempt to cross the river. You will literally climb an invisible mountain and go down on the other side in "low-res" Guarma, without having to fall into Guarma.
Yes, you can actually get your own horse outside the map! There is one particular spot outside the map where you can whistle for your horse and it will appear. But this spot is very tiny and I don't know how to explain it to you, you have to know where exactly it is! It's at the bottom left corner of the map, below and a bit to the right of the "Sea of Coronado", next to a small rock. Maybe it's being explained in another video somewhere. The only problem is that your horse won't follow you outside the map, so if you leave it standing somewhere, move away and then whistle for it, it won't come but stays at the spot where you left it. OK. I went to the patch of weeds where you can whistle your horse and remembered that it only works in the online version. Sadly, Guarma doesn't exist anywhere if you search for it online, the island isn't there, just low-res trees and grass. Anyway, this is a great method for story mode, especially explaining where the most efficient crossing point is. I found it's good to get your tamed horse up to bonding level three before heading across, as it makes it much safer. There's a brief point where the horse panics in the river but it only lasts a few seconds. A few things to note. There are nine collectables on Guarma for Arthur. Four birds, four snakes and one hat (the Sun Hat). There are also green turtles and a shark but they won't be added to the compendium. If you die in combat (or at all), you'll lose your horse and will trigger an invisible sniper when you respawn. However, if you replay any story mission and abandon it as soon as the cutscene ends, the invisible sniper on Guarma is disabled.
@@johnpboruMy understanding is that as long as the main map is loaded, Guarma is not loaded. You have to move far away enough from the main map to disload for Guarma to load in. They can’t exist at the same time. Edit: Spelling
it is possible to swim across that water without getting off the horse. just start farther north, about where the submerged trees end and head straight east (watch the compass and keep correcting the direction to always move east). even though it seems like a greater distance at first, the current will carry you south at the same time (don't try to fight against the current!) and you'll eventually land on that cape that you can never reach because of the current if you choose your starting point like in this video.
I think the best place to glitch Arthur out of the map is the abyss in the "I am the Devil" man cave. You will have to ride to Mexico, to the beginning of the San Luis river. Have in mind Guarma is "under" Mexico. Once you got to Mexico, choose the path that goes behind the mountains, don't follow the river bank. Riding east inside Mexico will get you to Guarma.

@@s_s-g4d You can just fall into the ocean and respawn in Guarma. There are two donkeys near the first "A" in "Aguas Dulces" that you can just use to ride around or to go back to the main map.
