      Agree. Crash course is 80% entertainment and 20% first-order, undeveloped information I cannot recall after I finish watching one of CC's longer-than-average videos on a topic.

      Ideally you shouldn't rely on just one series of videos to supplement your education. You should be watching videos from several different channels on the same subject so you can catch anything that one channel may have missed or gotten wrong. But ultimately these are meant as a supplement to an actual course, not as a standalone source of knowledge.

    Starting around 2:30, when the amino acids are being bonded together, it should have been done in the opposite direction. The video has the peptide chain growing from the C terminus->N terminus direction but polypeptides are synthesized in the N terminus->C terminus direction.

    Starting around 4:20, he may confuse people by saying that aspartic acid will have a negative charge, and lysine will have a positive charge .... yet both are shown as being electrically neutral.
    What he is showing does not represent what the amino acids are like under normal cellular conditions. The amino groups are usually protonated, so are NH3+ instead of NH2, and the carboxyl groups are usually deprotonated, so are COO- instead of COOH.

    Thank you so much for this. Starting lessons in proteins with my private students and this game is going to blow their minds. It's good that gamers can contribute like this. McGill University and the University of San Diego did the same when they partnered with Gearbox to make a game within the Borderlands 3 game to study the microbiome
