Thank you for this excellent info. Just moved into a home with Septic system and had issues with my air pump diaphragms, rebuilt it and then micro switch adjustment was bad, WTH? I'm in Texas also and getting 3 to 4 years out of a $600 (installed) pump is ridiculous! I will try the Fuji. Thank you again for the short and precise comparisons - Excellent!
Hello. My compressor is two years old, I changed the rubber membranes today because they were deteriorated. Now, after a few hours, I see that the supercharger seems hot to me. Do you have this problem on these models? I never noticed that before, but I don't remember whether it was heating or not. Moreover, I find the air that comes out extremely hot too.
We had a new Fuji septic system installed 25 months ago. Has been serviced by installer, including filter changes. It has a Mac80r. Diaphragms lasted 18 months. Pump has now stopped and is very hot. So the pump lasted 1 month longer than warranty. ☹️
Lou van der Vliet I would like to see that pump we will pay for shipping for you to send it to us. It would be the the first one with diaphragm failure out of thousands of aerators.
@@wholesalesepticsupply9801 Hi Adam. I live in Australia, so will not take you up on your offer. I investigated and found it's not the pump, just one of the diaphragms had split, again. That's 2 in 25 months.😟 I am impressed by your quick attention and your willingness to help. I am waiting for a reply from the installer. Had to fight for my rights last time. I will see how I go. I will purchase 2 spares for next time. Thanks again. Lou

need help have pond one air pump fitting 18mm I need to adapt to 8mm air pipe any ideas? The pump came with a rubber tube that is about 18mm but can not seem to find a fitting for my large air stone that has a 8mm pipe.
Depends on the aerator unit if it’s a diaphragm pump you are going to get a lot of air friction loss. We always recommend no matter the unit using a 1/2 all the way on 200 ft run and under. Your aerator will last a lot longer and you won’t be rebuilding it all the time.
What are the criteria you used beside power savings for recommending the best pump. Piston driven pumps from my experience require much less maintenance than a diaphragm pump. Here in Texas I don't care much about lower heat or power consumption.
D S the only piston pump is the medo that is widely available in this action of aerator. The medo can’t be rebuilt it loses some performance as well. It will run 5-8 years so it does run a long time. We still have had only two fuji macs need to be rebuilt and this video is 2 years old so they are going on 4-5 years. Lot Hiblows go that long as well. What you have to remember is that if you run these pumps in the zone they are designed to run they run a long time.
Hi Adam, Great video uploads, learnt a lot from you. Thank you. I just ordered the Fuji Mac 80R2 for its low energy consumption. My question is that does it also have the re-build parts and kits if I need them one day?
Yes we have them they are so new they are not published. You should get if in Texas 4-6 years from it no issue. If up north more 6-9 years. They have them in Malaysia about 200 non have stopped yet in 7 years it miserably hot and humid also.
Great to know, thank you very much for your prompt reply. I live in San Francisco, I am using it for a 800-gallon Koi pond. I look forward to a good long use of it.
I've been running the Secoh EL-80-17 and 80-15 for many years. I have a clearstream system and replace the diffuser every 6 months which prolongs the life of the air pump. Question, what air pump models in the Fujimac and Secoh JDK cross over to the EL-8--15 and or 17?
Can these pumps be used for fish rooms? They appear to be similar to Alita and jehmco pumps (made for the aquarium hobby). The fujimac sounds like an ideal pump.
Adam, do you guys sell all the air hoses, diffusers and hardware to go with the Fujimac? I cant find any on your website. I'd like to buy everything I need from one place and from someone like you guys who know what I need. I have a3-4 ft deep 1/4 acre pond with Koi, bluegill, etc...the 80R2 seems to be the right size...my pond is probably around 70,000 gallons.
Hey Adam, is it recommended to put a timer on the pump, so off 1hr on 3hrs. Will that cause other issues with the pump switching on/off. What about the bacteria can they survive an hour without oxygen?
I wouldn't do it. Why would you it cost about 5-7 dollars a month to run so you wont be saving very much and the tank and system are not set up for it to stop running
@@wholesalesepticsupply9801 Согласен. Каждая система имеет свой режим аэрации. Я имел ввиду техническую возможность компрессора работать в режиме 24х7.
I had the HIBLOW HP80 and replaced it with the Fujimac 80R2 for my septic tank. Been running it for over a year now and was told the Fujimac is only running at 2.2 psi which is supposedly very weak and couldn’t break down the solids fast enough vs the HIBLOW at 8 psi. Ended up having to go backwards back to the HIBLOW. Can you confirm I made the right decision?
SiLLyBiLLy the hiblow max is is 4 psi at the outlet so you got lied to. The Hiblow is 80 liters of air at 2.2 psi. You Fuji Mac does 80 liters at 2.2 psi. They are the same liters per min at 2.2 psi that is the the goal psi because most septic tanks water column 5ft of water at that depth it requires that much psi to over come the water pressure. The bacteria break things down not the air pump. Sorry you got lied to.
Thanks for the great info. To me , money and energy use equates to health of the planet, and reducing drought and heat in the southwest, according to the best climate scientists. It also pays for itself in energy savings, and reduced maintenance from heat. It's a win win!
I'm confused. The Hiblow is rated at 1.6A. However, it consumes 71 watts. According to this video he claims the pumps pull 1.3 amps or more. How do you get 1.3 amps when the pump uses 71 watts to operate at 120V? Sounds to me its more like 600 mA or half of what he states. Europe AC is 50 hz. Hiblow and many of the pumps he states are not sold in Europe is not because of power consumption. These pumps are designed for 60 hz. AC. Additionally, the heat is generated from the compression of the air. I call BS
not only do you get the lower efficiency pumps in europe too, the average kwh in the usa is 12 cents, the highest in europe is around 40 and about 13 at the lower end, so nowhere near that fantasy of x10! get a passport, travel the world, grow a brain. it's fun!

That Fujimac 80 I just installed in place of the Hiblow 80 is so quite , it's amazing. Hope I get 7 years out of it like I did the Hiblow.
Thank You, good to know there are better alternatives out there. Are the Fuji and Secoh comparably price as far as rebuild kits go?
How will these work for keeping down weeds on a shoreline of a lake?
We have 80 feet of shoreline.

Yes they can i sell a fair amount to people with fish rooms.
On the Clearstream diffuser, you said you drilled some holes in the green header. What size and how many should I drill, as I am replacing mine.
Junk Yard 5\32 drill bit in the green part of the diffuser evenly spaced 4 times.

dirk diggler we don’t sell the weighted air hose working on that because of how many people ask for it. We do have diffusers.

I would love to use your products
What 80 series would you recommend for small pond aeration?
Brad Elsberry hiblow, or Fuji Mac depending on depth hiblow does slightly more pressure.
Great advice and my thanks to the gent that made this video.
Hi how many fish i can have with that
Depends on the size there is a guy on you tube using a fuji mac 80 to do a whole room.
Hello, I have a single 1000 gallon tank. could I use these pumps you have in our tank?
Ray Pelletier you can’t use it in the tank you can run a pvc pipe into the tank from one of these pumps. That how they are suppose to work.
Can’t find the 80r2 anywhere now!! Even on your site! Does the 60r2 work?
ZmannR2 supply issue lots of people buying them they will be back in stock this week.
