I really like the other format where Alexa is always present. It is her spirit and body language that adds so much to the presentation but equally important to the learning.
Thank you for this clarification. I was told that it was strictly related to the liaison, and now I know better thanks to you, dear teacher!
Finally! Merci beaucoup as I was requested that 🙏🏼❤️
Thank you for this video. When to pronounce the 's' in 'plus has always puzzled me. Now I know the rules!
Merci beaucoup pour votre leçon.
Thank you! This is a tricky concept!
Best explanation I've heard.
Thank you this is helping me a lot!!!
You are very welcome!
Great - Très bien, merci
Merci, Alexa! That's so helpful. Could you (or some kind follower) also explain why sometimes people pronounce the 's' at the end of 'dos' - mais pas toujours?
Merci beaucoup
Great! The best
Wow, this is good to know, thank you! I'm trying to think if we have any rules like that in English. No word comes to mind when it comes to pronouncing certain words.
Vous êtes la meilleure! Et j'ai regardé toutes les publicités au début et à la fin car vous le méritez!
Merci beaucoup!
C'est une très bonne explication. La différence de pronociation de mot "Plus" m'a toujours rendu perplexe.
Merci pour les explications, Alexa, cette subtilité est difficile à comprendre pour plusieurs apprenants. Pouce bleu
Excellent tips, teacher 👏👏👏

Alexa, PLEASE!!!
Can you please tell me the difference between J'ai été and J'étais?
I still can't understand.
Moreover, the Google translator shows "I was" as the translation for both of them?!
I'm confused!
J'étais: I used to be
J'ai ete: I was
What about de plus en plus? Is the “s” silenced or pronounced? Thank you Alexa!
Rico Ray thanks a lot :)

@@learnfrenchwithalexa Ok!!!!
thanks for your suggestion Alexa....
Bisou Bisou....
What about plus en plus?
🌹
Merci beaucoup Alexa. What about moi non plus ?
why is there n' before avons in the last example?
Because it means only when one says eg I have only 2 mobiles je n'ai que deux téléphones portables like the combination ne pas is used for negation similarly the combination ne que is used to mean "only "
It's the way French works when saying _only_ , as in «I only have X left». They use verb negation. Literally, it means «We have not more than three days of vacation.» If you are already on vacation, and speaking to someone about it, the "only ... left" part is implied. It's kind of the same mentality of «Je brosse les dents.» The assumption is, when you say you are brushing "the teeth" you mean _your_ teeth. It's contextual.
@@pompikaushal4604 thank you so much.
@@KimberlyGreen thank you so much!
First view
Nous n'avons plus que un moi de vacances.
Alors: à plus (on prononce la S) et À plus tard (on ne la pronomce pas), oui?
40+5=45
45+10=55
😁😁😁
Merci beaucoup
You are very welcome :)
