It is a true delight to see a real musician who doesn't need an earpiece, auto tune. And what a gift to have an audience at a few feet away with an intent on listening, not going nuts.
So many great songs by Gordon, and this one certainly ranks up there. You can just picture a bunch of people sitting there on a cold night in Canada sitting on couches and chairs just relaxing and having an adult beverage and someone suggests pulling out old records from a pal who is no longer with them. It even references 78s (Even many of the LP generation have never actually seen a 78). Gordon had such an ability to write a song that put in the place and part of setting. I have never been to Canada and never on a cold winter night; but this song puts me there. RIP Gordon. Prayers and thank you for all your music.
Wow this is amazing Erwin I just looked up this song 2 put me in a good mood I know it always puts me in a good mood and I thought that I just left a comment there and no it wasn't me it was another Erwin I listen to your channel is pretty amazing you have a very nice heartfelt feel for music so we have something in common both have the same names first names and we both like looking at Old Dan's records for inspiration always feel good moments cheers Erwin Schonfeld
funny how at one time I didn't care for this song, but, love it now! Still looking for more LIVE video's from the 74-79 time period. Not many out there. Was hoping there was an entire video of him hosting Midnight Special, but, much to my dismay, just clips!

When ever I feel down Old Dan's Records always warms my heart. Do a little toe stamping to embarras the family.

Tucker Green - I milked cows to this song . Cows relax & they let more milk down . Revives my heart too.
The energy is palpable! Gordie if you can hear me: Bless you forever on earth and in heaven.
And now it's time for us to get out Old Gordy's records...
