Regarding concision, 20 years ago I worked as a newspaper reporter and was a wordy writer.
A senior reporter told me "If you can say it in three words instead of five, do it."
And I've repeated that to myself many times over the years, no matter what I've been writing.
    (Articles, emails, blog posts, etc.)

To offer some constructive criticism, while this interview is informative, the title is a bit misleading. She was approached twice and recruited into technical writing, first in college by her professor where she was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time that they offered those classes, and then she was approached via LinkedIn. So she's somebody that was found and saught out rather than someone that was looking to break into the field.

I appreciated the candid feedback. I'll keep it in mind for future titles.

I think she did a great job of sharing the challenges involved and the skills required to be successful in technical writing
