    Just the most thorough series of tutorials I've seen in a long time. He
    takes you literally step by step to learn not just how to use Tinkercad,
    but also some of the concepts of 3D printing that you need to know to
    start designing in a calm, patient tone. Seems like he'd be an amazing
    teacher. A million stars.

    I'm relying on this awesome video tutorial in the high school intro to robotics course I teach again this year. I found this series during the COVID lockdown in the spring and it was a life-saver for my students, who spent much of the spring working in Tinkercad. Kudos to the tutorial's producer/writer/narrator (I do not know him)! The videos are just the right length and easy to follow, getting a complete newbie up to speed quickly and easily. And most importantly, students can access them when sitting at home in front of a Chromebook. And yes, students can use Tinkercad with a Chromebook without too much difficulty.

    • @leehayden442
      @leehayden442 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PromoAmbitions Adding the the competency assessment page was awesome! I've made a monetary contribution for your efforts. Perhaps some time this year if you have 10-15 minutes you could do a Google Meet with my intro to robotics class where you talk about what you work on professionally? You would need no preparation for this.

    I'm a very critical person who hates poorly executed instructional videos. I'm happy to say that this was well done. It's very rare to find a video that's thorough without someone rambling and wasting my time. It's also done in a systematic and orderly fashion and your audio is well recorded. Looking forward to the rest of your videos.

    Thanks for the great tutorial! The shortcut about duplicating objects an equal distance apart from each other is especially handy.
    Also, I saw in another video that if you change the size of a shape by dragging it, you are actually stretching the shape, which is why, as you mention, Tinkercad gets "confused" when you stretch a shape and then try to change its size numerically. The stretching effect is not noticeable with a cube, but you can see it with a shape like the Spring or the ISO Metric Thread.

    Just finished up all 6 tutorials today so thank you very much they were super informative and helpful. I was wondering if you might know a trick to find out the inside diameter width of a wall when I import something? I'm trying to adjust several vacuum hose adapters to different sizes and there's a lot of great designs on thingiverse but when I go to edit I don't know how thick the new walls should be. I've played around with the ruler but thought there might be an easier way you knew of? Thanks again for the great tutorial
