It's why I'm a wildfowler. There's a new video coming out in the next few days of a cracking morning flight. You can see the change from darkness to light.
Super video of what shooting is about. Guns do let you down occasionally but you and the dog made it work, topping it off by letting us all share your spoils. Keep it coming. ATB Pete Harrogate
Excellent video cracking little dog.Iv just ditched my Benelli semi auto they absolutely are not as reliable as people say and are prone to jamming or non ejection mine drove me to distraction.Gone back to Beretta A300 Outlander Synthetic it does get dirtier but no issues with cycling on all sorts all the best Tom.Tony
I have a lot of guns which you may notice as I'm always using a different one on my videos. We have fixed a bent pin in the action of the ranger and not had an issue since. I have seen just about every gun breakdown at some point. I've even had my side by side jam shut due to some rusty shells!
+Tom Sykes Cheers Tom I got some training and had to completely strip and re build Benelli Montefeltro Woodcock biggest reliability issue was a knackered recoil spring in stock and worn trigger bush pin and hammer and hammer spring.Just shows maintenance is a priority and Benelli,s definately are not maintenance free!!!!
Tom, desperate to know what call your using there? Been using the haydels dr-85 on my evening flight shoot. And it's not too bad. However yours has a nice raspy quack.
Thank you. Goose and I are ready for the season. All the guns have had a good service and the ranger is also fixed. Goose is a year and a half now with lots of experience under his belt so we should hopefully have a good season (weather permitting). Keep an eye out for the latest videos!
Those Winchester 1300's are shit. I used one for a few years for duck shooting. The receivers just don't seem to last and they start jamming like yours
Even though the was abit shit jamming atleast your dog is working well 4 the 1st time and bagged 5 ducks still and is that a 12 bore gauge ? My god that has got a hell of a big boom when it goes off
I know what you mean. I have a habit of using old guns as they hold sentimental value. I have since got this gun fixed and it's now working like it was fresh out of the box
What a lovely video giving a great sense of the marsh and changing light as the days moves on.

We have found aluminum based shells swell very fast in pump guns and jam.

Brilliant shooting mate and great retrieval, I wouldn't like to see what you could do with a fully operational weapon, good to watch👍

Great shooting. Where about was this ?
That's why I use an O/U on the marsh...
I've managed to jam a side by side on the marsh. That gun has had a hard life, however it's now fixed and in full working order
Tom at what age did you introduce Goose to gun fire? And then at what age did you start shooting over him? Cheers mate James
Nice video, thanks for sharing. If you need a hunting buddy lemme know. Good luck!
At least your dog worked better than your gun hahahaha good video though
Long metal on the Shell causes this kind of problem in pump action shotguns. I recommend you to use the shells with short metal (like winchester)

Yeah the marsh can kill just about any gun. It is a twelve and I was using 32g 4s. That gutter does great a big boom though
Nice vid, you need a new ejector.
Nice vid, however my 3" 425 does not spoil my flights...

Great dog but gun needs sorting with a hammer
Pump action shotgun???? Best choice for fowling!!!
