Amazing amira beautiful voice
Amira was born in march 2004, she was 13 at this concert. Not sure about the link that took you nowhere, but this one is of the right concert. Some of her performance's get copied and posted by different people, so multiple example's exist. It's handy in case anything gets taken down, but sometimes the quality isn't so good.
She sang two other songs at this concert, Nessun Dorma, and The Flower Duet, with Corlea Botha. Both are worth listening to and are of a high quality.
This was an amazing performance by the one and only Amira.The traditional Scottish dress and hairstyle Amira wore and the three pipers,topped by that last sharp note at the end of the rendition,make this a memorable performance. Amira was 12 years old at the time. She was 9 when she auditioned for Holland's Got Talent. At that time she was self-taught. But after that, of course, she took lessons. You can see it most clearly when you compare her first performance at the above-mentioned audition with her performance, 7 months later, at the concert with André Rieu. She sang the same song then, but the difference was clear. Her first performance was already incredible, but her second was even more overwhelming.
13, actually. This was in July, 2017. And her performance with Andre Rieu at 10 years of age is now the forth most popular video of the 575 videos Andre Rieu publishes.
@@dafyddllewellyn6636 It's actually first place by far, because the original video had already reached almost 500 million views, but was accidentally removed from the maestro's channel. Then it was reposted and has already reached 82 millions. Andre Rieu is about to re-release a commemorative edition of the CD and the 2014 DVD, because of the 10th anniversary of Amira's performance.

One of her latest gesu bambino is stunting, no orchestra or chior. Her dad Amira and boyfriend were out for a walk. They go inside the church where her father plays the organ. If you look closely you can see the rain hitting the windows in the background, probably the reason they came inside.
She has a lovely voice and that was a very good performance. I have to admit that they had me at the bagpipes.

Fans have given some excellent suggestions, but none of recent performances. Eg, the Delft Concert (2023), Gesu Bambino (2023), Panis Angelicus with her friend Katherine Hamman (December 2022). Worth a look! Best wishes, JOE.

I'm not against child singers, at all. But I have yet to enjoy Amira Willighagen's performances. On this one, her words are not clear and seem clipped at the end of each word. Hard to put my finger on that. When she sang O Mio Babbino Caro on Holland's Got Talent, one of the saddest songs ever written, she ended before the end of the lyrics, but worse yet, she ended on a high belt instead of a somber low note to respect the impending suicide suggested in the song. Her version with André Rieu was considerably better having much better breath control; however, again, she ended with the high belt where the lyrics ask her father for pity. I'm standing by patiently for something to add to my playlist.
Why don't you just go run along, and enjoy Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Spears, or Madonna, and leave musical excellence to us Amira fans.
@@johnbattles1002 I would, but none of those names are on my playlist either. Amira's voice is superb, but the choices she makes in performing ruin it for me. Sometimes a singer's choices really improve upon the original (for example young Amalia's audition for X-Factor Australia, or Ella Henderson's performance of Believe on X-Factor Britain, Sissel Kyrkjebø singing O Mio Babbino Caro, Morgan James singing Dream, Diana Ankudinova singing Can't Help Falling in Love). Take a listen to any of those to see what I mean. Also there's no Angelina Jordan on my playlist, yet. But please, continue loving Amira if she strikes your fancy. She just hasn't struck mine, yet.

I'm fine with that. Rewatching Amira does not change my mind. I should check to see if she has anything more recent.
