Bob and Emma, you have got to be extremely careful near the border. I worked in the oil field beside the border, and I was warned that people will run to your vehicle and take it, leaving you stranded in the 110 degree desert. You will come across people with heat exhaustion, or people who appear to need help. People pleading for help, is sometimes a ploy to get you to stop, where you will get your throat cut, and your vehicle taken. Giving someone a ride, who actually needs help, will get you arrested for smuggling by the border patrol. I accidentally nearly had all of this happen to me, because I wasn't prepared for it, I didn't know. It was really, really bad, I'm lucky to be alive.
I have spent a lot of time in southern New Mexico, Arizona,---- from El Paso to the east to Aqua Prieta etc. to the west--- it can't be said too strongly- this is a dangerous place to explore. Any of this "pseudo- tough guy" stuff when faced with the real criminal element down there will get you into nothing but bad, serious trouble- . Getting your vehicle stolen is mild- it can be taken from you and driven into Mexico and no one can do anything about it. If that is all that happens you were lucky. Murders, rapes, kidnappings -- how well do any of you 'Tough Guys' - you grandes compañeros de miedo, -- think you'll do against an armed gang of drug runners?? ! Get real mis Amigos.... You should look into Sasco Az. It was a boom town in late 1800's early 1900's. I am not sure of the years. All that's left of the foundations of the buildings. Quite a few of them have basement type structures. If you go, protect yourself. Last time we went it looked like immigrants were hiding there, and it felt like someone was watching us. We had firearms, so I wasn't too worried.
I really love this kind of videos. Everytime i see one of those videos, questions is running around my head. Who was living down there, when did they live there, why did they leave and why did they live there. Just awesome stuff Bob and Emma. Keep up the great work.

Like I mentioned I worked the Anza Borrego desert for eight years and seen many unusual sights. A good distance from the border so illegals were far and few in that area. But again I would like to say always carry a weapon especially just two people and one a woman. Don't enter into a conversation with anyone without them knowing you have a weapon and stay your distance. Especially this day and time.
Just because something is made out of concrete doesn't mean that it is modern vintage. You must remember that Romans invented and used concrete over a thousand years ago there are aquaducts on the Iberian Peninsula that are still standing today that were made with Roman concrete.
1st, thing, merch is awesome. 2nd, that site was great, Border patrol don't care what your doing as long as you're US citizens and you aren't helping smuggle drugs or people across the border. Anything and everything else is ok as long as there's no signs posted to "keep out". Actually they're good to have around for protection from the "Coyotes". Those are the people you need to worry about when you near the border in that desert. I can't believe you didn't get into that house, there has to be a way in that you just missed. I think they covered the way in with some of those big white pieces of wood that look like closet doors. That places doesn't look like anybody has been up there in 20 years. The pink Camper is from the late 50's/ early 60's. That was the style before they went to aluminum and a more modern look. That first spot you looked at with the cool table area and BBQ area, I bet a trailer can fit where that plain cement patch it that you said sounded hollow. Maybe the Pink trailer was there first and then somebody moved it up higher. I'm sure there's some mines up in that canyon. Either copper, gold and silver. That was the usual mines for that size and location. Hopefully you can get back and maybe get in and then check out the canyon behind the house past the outhouse. Option is always up to you but I would love to see a return voyage to dig deeper into this area. Keep on trucking EWO Crew!
we use to have the old B-B ranch in arizona...it had a place similar to the seats, table and bbq...ours had an old metal roof on it for shade and was used to feed the cowhands who worked the ranch in the 1800's and early 1900's...surrounding desert rock was used for the walls and some type of cement for the seats...
Bob & Emma - You're in my neck of the woods now! I've got a place for you, but I don't want to make it's location public. Very strange old facility. Whoever built that little house seemed to really like landscaping and doing outdoor projects. Those planted cacti are gorgeous and the stone projects look really well done. Such a strange place for a little house considering the constant border control.

9:50 - not only the amount of masonry work but given it's nowhere they had to collect all the stones and cart them to the structures plus make ALL the mortar by hand, too. Mix yourself up a few hundred pounds of mortar to get an idea. 2 parts cement, 1 part lime and 9 parts sand is an old time standard brick/stone formula to be used in most applications.
border patrol pretty cool - had to check you out - but looking out for you as well - and what a place it would have been to retire too back in the day - not everyone is drawn to the big city -
Fierce EWU Crew Wolf! Nice! A little more scary than our Connecticut Huskies Mascot. Somebody put a lot of work into setting up and living there in the middle of no where. Just started following you guys a month ago. I've watched all of your videos and replays of your live streams! I'm sorry I have not been on lately. I am back now. Just enjoying the nice abandoned compound you have gone to! I like the cobblestone design to everything, even the walkways! That place needs a some TLC.
Okay, guys, this was a very intriguing video. Your videos seem to get better with time. The editing is more engaging with the insert shots of you guys walking and such. But this video had really got me curious about the location. Have you considered doing follow up videos to any of these? It could be a different kind of format, like a historical study piece with you both narrating. Maybe show photos and historical documents and records of the places. Or maybe you can combine the research footage in with the exploration. Either way, I would TOTALLY love to watch that! Thanks for your work.
Places on Az 8 that tells you to be careful. I know a few LEO's I do animal rescue with who have told me that a few people have disappeared while 4 wheeling... Wonder what this place was????
Love the videos and live streams, that place looks like a small community for people who wanted to seperate themselfs from the mainstream public. Maybe some were even wanted, and this place was occupied by them so they wouldnt be found... who knows, super cool either way! Thanks guys for another awesome video, and taking us places we could not travel to otherwise. Be safe, and I'm waiting on the next adventure! Peace out! Ron from Idaho...
Okay I have to say!! The pink trailer is obviously from the 70's and the fridge that was just outside looked like it had been pulled out from the trailer so how does a Blue Moon beer which was launched in 1995 end up in a fridge that was pulled out of a trailer from the 70's?
I think it would be interesting to do a follow-up on this location and know what the back story is on this place. Take the GPS location to the County Records or County Tax office to trace the current owner and maybe the previous owner/ers. Then you can learn the history of this location. That research might lead you what they did for income or their motivation for living in such a remote location.
I got to see you from TH-cam suggested the video. I thought that it was pretty cool! I was thinking 50's on the trailer because of the round window and simple rounded over corners of the closet that were just varnished woodwork. I can't even imagine how much time it took to get the plaza for lack of a better way to describe the hardscaping as we call it now. To have that much water it's got to be from long ago! Most of the the West is irritaged by water from the Colorado River. Las Vegas has considered building an unground water channel to divert devastating Mississippi River flood waters to replenish Lake Meade after reducing the penstocks for hydroelectric capacity at least twice. While working as a longhaul trucker I had a load of carpet from Laredo and I planned to take I-10 to Washington State, but some old-timers got me to take the old US highway that parallels the Rio Grande and go North past El Paso. I saw the remains of old houses of wood that makes you want to do what you do, except for the walking, heat, and predators of many types from inscects, animals and humans. Thanks for bringing it to us!
The compound looks like the old occupants may have also been looking at defensive landscaping due to its proximity to the U.S. - Mexico border. Way before the Cartels got as strong as they are there was trouble down there with criminal elements on both sides. Since the late 1960s the area has been listed as a low intensity war zone internationally. The media just doesn't talk about it much except when incidents spark up that can't be ignored. One reason why in my search for even an abandoned property to look into at the local county court house. You and Emma might before you go to a site check it out at the local county's Registrar of Deeds and find out some background for where you want to explore.
Thank you for showing exactly how to speak with border patrol or any law enforcement agency. If you treat them with respect, they have no reason to be suspicious of you:-)
In case anyone missed it, its important to point out that someone really put in a lot of work and landscaped this entire area. But more importantly, dont let that distract from the fact that Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, "Spare Tire" Dixon. (Just kidding guys! Love ur videos. Just flickin U a little crap!) :-)
I worked at an RV and mobile home business during high school in the late 1960's. I agree with the comments below that the pink trailer is probably a Spartan and definitely from the 1950's; no newer than that. Amazing how the woodwork has remained so shiny and intact. Thanks for your videos, I really enjoy pretending I am with you on your desert explorations!

Boarder patrol has a very difficult job. Let's not harass them or bother them. Would rather tell them thank you for your service
The trailer looks like a 1951 Elcar. Just a great little trailer. The place looks so amazing, someone put a lot of work into it.
Cousin Eddies house from Vegas vacation!
Hahahaha
@Scott Shanahan hahahahaha
Lol
Scott Shanahan 😂😂😂
9:50 - not only the amount of masonry work but given it's nowhere they had to collect all the stones and cart them to the structures plus make ALL the mortar by hand, too. Mix yourself up a few hundred pounds of mortar to get an idea. 2 parts cement, 1 part lime and 9 parts sand is an old time standard brick/stone formula to be used in most applications.
someone did a lot of work there, you find some really cool places, the trailer is from the late 50's early 60's
border patrol pretty cool - had to check you out - but looking out for you as well - and what a place it would have been to retire too back in the day - not everyone is drawn to the big city -
Fierce EWU Crew Wolf! Nice! A little more scary than our Connecticut Huskies Mascot. Somebody put a lot of work into setting up and living there in the middle of no where. Just started following you guys a month ago. I've watched all of your videos and replays of your live streams! Haven't been able to catch one of your live streams because you do them when I am at work or sleeping, (time zone difference). Really love them all! I really like your Ghost Town explorations. Keep the videos coming! Be well and stay safe out there in EWU land!
I hope you make video like this again, explore Abandoned place on desert.
I'm sorry I have not been on lately.
I am back now.
Just enjoying the nice abandoned compound you have gone to!
I like the cobblestone design to everything, even the walkways!
That place needs a some TLC.
That's one awesome place , the person who made it was super smart !
Really nice place. Wish you all knew story behind it!!!
Thanks for your work.
the first building, the 'garage' totally reminded me of the place where the Raiders hide out in the Fallout game series ! Loved the video!
My mom used to live on the New Mexico Mexican Border when she was a kid and always had people going through her land illegally
That little camp with a short walls is an old copper mine post. Thier all over arizona, even on mountains.
Dude, the Romans invented concrete. Wow, someone put a lot of work into that hacienda!
Places on Az 8 that tells you to be careful. I know a few LEO's I do animal rescue with who have told me that a few people have disappeared while 4 wheeling... Wonder what this place was????
I don't know about anything else but girl got beautiful hair 😍
The shirts are awesome, and holy crap, that pit stone work was beautiful and hella old!!
I know the long hair and wind problem 🙄..... Much Love EWU Crew.....
You guys are too cute. Wish you could've gotten in the house! Great video as always! You found the lone chair! Haha
Another awesome video....😀😀😀
Hello EWU Crew. I’m sure you don’t make videos anymore but I want to say I love 💕 these videos. I wish you still did them.
Thank you for showing exactly how to speak with border patrol or any law enforcement agency. If you treat them with respect, they have no reason to be suspicious of you:-)
09mikesvids Say huh?
I'm thinking the Salmon Pink trailer is a little older. Maybe earlier 1960's.
Thanks for the great video ! That place was wild !! That sure was a lot of yard work !!!
Wow! What beautiful rock work thanks for taking us along on this trip
You guys are awesome. Always a thumbs up from me.
Wow, great location & great video! Someone's off-the-grid outpost. Looks like a once beloved homestead.
"There's a yardstick."
Bless it.
Just flickin U a little crap!)
:-)
I love you dude... you should prank boarder patrol... joking please don't we still want you uploading
Papa wu reminds me of B- real from Cypress Hill......
Haha I was thinking System of a Down’s singer!
"Insane in the membrane, insane in da brain!"
Border Patrol trucks are that same way here on the Minnesota Canada border
Love this. Thank you as always. I love the old stuff, because I am old:) Wish i knew the story behind this!! May i say you all are a fabulous father/ daughter team. Reminds me of my father and myself. As always, thank you!
You are are very brave .....& I work at a remote Observatory site ...... we all live vicariously through you ! thanks for all posting !

Just an old mining camp. We got lots of them all over Nevada! I found dozens of of places like this in the hills around winnimucca off I 80
