I was there for this! He grabbed the choir 2 days before and put this together! Last song of his set and turned a beautiful song into something somehow more special! Hung out with him and such a special performance and will never forget it
Allen Stone is indescribable. I think after listening to him live you have to decompress. I blast his music when I just need to escape from the world for a lil while. Let me tell y'all, I'm come back to reality with a new perspective and outlook. I agree with the fam, watching him live is on a whole 'nother level that I can't explain. He does a bunch of amazing covers he makes his own.... Satisfaction, Burn for You, Say a Little Prayer, Sex and Candy, Somebody that I used to Know.... a few off the top of my head. "Contact High" I think was the first song I heard that made me an instant fan.

He plays solo at smaller venues and also large festivals. IMO his studio recordings don't do him justice, and I suspect that's why he hasn't hit it big with radio play. He's signed with a major record label, but he has an unusual deal with them that he cooked up. Can't recall what it is specifically. Just remember that he has a specific vision for his music and doesn't make a ton of money because he is adamant on using real musicians/singers to create music instead of prerecorded tracks and technology.

Thank the Lord that there is, "even if you don't hear them on the radio much" artists that are still keeping that good good r&b alive. Good lyrics, great vocals and absolutely no color barrier what so ever, black, white, Asian, Hispanic doesn't matter everybody feels beautiful music. Current music styles don't have the same impact as this.

I am not sure if you're familiar with Teddy swims because I'm new to the channel but that's how I found Allen stone and Teddy swims. And they sang Sarah smile you have to check it out. It's beautiful I like it better than the original

But I was blown away by his voice and soul. Downloaded many of his songs since. If I can find video I’ll put in my comments. He sounds kinda like Stevie Wonder.
