  • An option to reduce temperatures when using a weak cooler (240mm in this test). In the next video we will try to perform better than 41k through a small overclock.

In a new test and with these adjustments I I can reduce it to (-) 0.080v stable, which considerably improved the temperatures.

Same here. I got an apex encore and 14900k. The only thing I have done to undervolt my i9 is I set MCE to auto and I left svid behavior on auto and then I manually set my PL1 and PL2 to 253 watts and finally went to global svid option and set it to adaptive and -0.6. I am fully stable with this and both watts and temps dropped considerably however I am not able to go above 0.6 cuz cinebench crashes at 0.7 or higher. I feel like I can go further if I knew all the bios options. @@JackCroweMedia

Quick question, I have the almost same exact mobo and cpu. (Elite X WiFi 7, 14900KF)
If I set a negative offset of 0.05v and if I crash on cinebench, I just need to raise the LLC to counter the lower vdroop right?
Thank you so much for the video and guide! Just subbed!

@@SourKimchii Hello my friend, welcome!Thank you very much for your subscription and comment; Well you can increase the llc, or increase the vcore, use whatever brings more stability and lower temperatures.
See in the video below how you will have a better temperature when using a lower llc with a higher vcore.

@@hardwareandsoftwareforbegg5114 Gotcha thank you! I followed your guide to the tee today except not disabling MCE and only doing -0.05v offset. Really helped my temps a lot.
One question, instead of changing the “Performance CPU Clock Ratio” to 57 could I change the clocks in the “Turbo Per Core Limit Control”? Like just setting the 2 P-Cores that go 6Ghz to 57.

friend, you're the fucking master, I don't know much about bios and I applied exactly your configuration to my i7 13700k and it works great. I got 31100 points in cinebench r23 with a maximum temperature of 85 degrees and a maximum voltage of 1.30v, usually in demanding use I go for 1.26v, before I was around 1.38 and even 1.4v the perfect undelvolt, less temperature, less voltage, more performance and more stability.

Thank you for the video. How about locked voltages, what's your recommendation for 24/7 use (I have 360mm rad Arctic Liquid Freezer II RGB), it's going to do compute heavy task for 70-80% load. What clocks and voltages should I set my 14900k at? (I don't have it yet, it will arrive in 2 days, so I'm asking so I know in advance)

Hello Jelome, welcome! I hope your cpu arrives soon my friend. The 14900k is not necessary oc in the pcores using an aio cooler. He's pretty hot. For daily use you can increase the ecores to 4.5, and use a negative offset voltage. It will run at around 0.700 - 0.800 when idle and simple tasks, or at 1.280 - 1.350v under stress with good temperatures. When you start testing your CPU, feel free to come back here and we'll try to find a sweet spot for it.

Hello my friend, thank you for your feedback. I'm glad to know it was useful. For the question of the bios version, watch the video I made below, I have been using the FC version instead of the one recommended for the 14900k taking better performance, temperatures and frequency. stability.
      th-cam.com/video/BJ8sWJykles/w-d-xo.html
In the video you will see that the recommended version causes frequency fluctuation and higher temperatures ( oscillating between 5.7 - 5.5 and at times reaching 5.1). In the original version of the MB (FC) the frequency remains fixed at 5.7 (PCORES) and 4.4 (ECORES).
It's a test you should do too, I'm sure you'll come to the same conclusion. You can test the other bios versions like I did, and if you don't like it, go back to the original version without any problems.Send me news about how you're doing, this is my goal to exchange experiences and learn more. Hello Weissrolf , welcome! Your suggestion is very good. You are correct my friend, this was one of the first tests. As the difference between the two cpus is minimal, I was using some adjustments that I had in the 13900k of previous videos.

      th-cam.com/video/dLRSPZKJhpQ/w-d-xo.html (13900k)

    • @Weissrolf
      @Weissrolf 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@sumithr138 Obviously depends on the CPU, but my 13900K seems to be rather average overall. AC LL 0.180 mOhm, LLC 0.620 mOhm, 8-56x offset -55 mV, 57-60 offset -75 mV, AVX offset -1 (doesn't trigger 99% time on 13th gen), 60/59/57/57/56/56/55/55../44/44/43/43.
Running CB23 at the 253 W power-limit uses a Vcore of 1.24 V, more than needed by CB23, but needed for other things to remain stable.

did you ever get the temps down? I recently built a new rig with the 14900k and MSI Carbon z790 plus a Corsair AIO 360mm. Cinebench will occasionally hit 100c but I've only just started undervolting using the Intel Extreme Tuning tool. The 14900k has turned into a cooling challenge for me 100% - Initially I built with (3) 120mm intake fans in the bottom of my case then (1) 120mm at the rear for exhaust. Recently I added another 120mm for exhaust upgraded the 3 intake to 140mm and added the (3) from that to the back of the Rad for exhaust. End of the day it made 0 difference on the 14900k. My system runs great and I never see anything above 75C when gaming but the fact that the cpu launches to 95-100c withing 30 seconds of Cinebench irritates the hell out of me

Another thing you can check is the bios version. I have a video showing higher temperatures and lower performance and frequencies with the bios recommended by gigabyte:
      th-cam.com/video/BJ8sWJykles/w-d-xo.html
I wouldn't worry too much about these temperatures in daily tasks, the cpu is hot. But I believe that perhaps another refrigeration option may have better results. Meanwhile you can use a fixed or adaptive voltage, because in auto mode the motherboard delivers much more than the CPU would need.

      3.cpu vcore offset set = 0.020
Do not change llc for now, and increase the cpu vcore offset to -0.030, -0.040, etc. if stable. ( find the ideal point in stability and temperature.)

Hi I have the same mobo. Try to set CPU core voltage offset by - CPU (not PWM) thanks this you will decrease cpu cache voltage as well. CPU Offset or CPU adapive+offset mode are better for temps than PWM mode. Try it, this mode is in the latest bios for sure. You can play with AVX2 ratio offset -2 or -3 then you should be able to set lower voltage. Good luck

How are you doing my friend? You can start with an offset voltage (-0.075),If necessary, try (-0.065) and successively until it is stable. Use the smallest llc possible as in the video. If you can't, set your Pcores to 5.5ghz and try 1.3v. Medium LLC. Leave the echoes on auto for now. If stable, reduce the vcore until you reach the best temperature. I'm using this for much heavier tasks than these and it's stable. Stress testing exhausts the CPU much more than games, but yes, I also play bf4, call of dutty, counter stryke etc with temperatures of 35 - 45 degrees, your comment is strange, as anyone with a little knowledge knows that aida, cinebench, ooct , 3dmark require much more CPU. Before playing, do a stress test to test the stability of your CPU. Do you have a similar cpu? I would like to know how you are using it. After all, this is the reason for the videos, to learn more from each other.
