    Idk if you already found a solution to your radio but I think you need a better ground for it. I had to do that with my radio when I did led lights in everything

    • @TimelapseTruckerRTOT
      @TimelapseTruckerRTOT  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yor probably right, the amp is definitely the problem, it could have a better ground instead of the flimsy steel under the bed. ive also started having another problem now i turn on my winch when im around other trucks it pure static for everyone. thats pretty strange. so i think a new heavy ground for the winch console and the amp. start with that, adding a better ground to the radio is a bit of work. and ive had this amp and two way radio issue in 4 trucks now so its not some off problem, but super annoying

    I know you talked about this Jeep and how you have to keep that fifth wheel locked my question is Wouldn't the ride be better if the air was left in the fifth wheel so pretty bounce on it, you know like those shocker hithe. Anyways I was bullshiting you .

    • @TimelapseTruckerRTOT
      @TimelapseTruckerRTOT  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      if it could only act like a holiday trailer 5th wheel air ride, would make for better redes for sure, its not horrible as a loaded ride, and even empty its not too bad, the torsion beam 16 alone empty, thats horrible, there was times at roadtrain i had the planetary tandem tractor too that was spring ride, i shit you not im sure there was times the wheels leave the pavement on sharp bumps empty

    Question: I always wondered what's the benefit to using winch trucks and beds with rollers where you have to load and unload the way you do vs doing it any other way? Always been curious 😅

    • @scruffy6151
      @scruffy6151 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure what you are asking? Do you mean having someone load everything or have everything as a trailer only.

    • @TimelapseTruckerRTOT
      @TimelapseTruckerRTOT  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      cheaper for me to just bomb out there and winch it on vs you'd need 2 cranes and space to set them up, crane guys are usually a flat rate or take 5 hrs to do one thing slow, plus you'd need 2 more cranes 600 kms away to unload again. and where i put it as well would be no room for that. and theres no trailer boiler thats built on 24 wheels. hooking up lines 3 feet or more in the air would suck too

      i work on these types of trailers all the time.
      We have an overhead crane. One guy down inside the trailer and one guy on the deck running crane and moving/marking tires. We usually use the crane to put the trailer up on frame stands. Get the wheels up 18 inches off the ground. It's a good 3 hours top get them all off and get the bad ones sorted out and move wheels around to make as close to matching pairs as far as tread depth goes.
