Damn, Konami did a really good job in creating chips that can push the Famicom capabilities even further, and this is ALSO one of the reasons I frigging love the VRC6 chip and any remixes based around it. Like seriously, its pretty hard to think that THIS could be played on a actual Famicom (or inserted into hacks), and it really goes to show how powerful the Famicom was. If only the NES had chips like that, though... XD
+steviewonder166 In fact, it's a Japanese transliteration of a mythical Chinese protohistoric (Xia Dynasty) figure of "Chunhushi" ("純狐氏", literally "Lady of the Pure Fox Clan") as recorded in the Book of Documents (a.k.a. Shangshu, "尚書"). According to ZUN's interpretation, however, Junko somehow has become the eastern equivalent of Greek Clytemnestra: both lost a child with their husband to be blamed, both exploited their lover to avenge themselves, except the Greek one was avenged by her own other son, while the Chinese one was punished by the middle kingdom's legitimate ruler for her misconducts.
Lunatic It's done on purpose to emphasize her purity motif. They look ludicrous because they are supposed to be throwbacks to the PC-98 games, where there aren't really spell cards but for the most part, just bullets flying all over the place without proper patterns. Bullet hell at its purest, that is.
Okay..now that I've actually had my first opinions of the game and played it... I have to disagree about the music tracks. While not the greatest tracks ZUN has ever done in some cases, I say the music is pretty good for the second half of the game. Particularly Stage 5, I think ZUN was very creative with his music on that stage. Great rendition, though, and you were very fast.
+WishMakers Personally, if I had to pick one song from LoLK that I didn't like, it would be Seiran's theme. That's including the other, non- stage or boss songs, I might add.
I swear I've heard 0:54 through 0:59 at like twice the speed in a different song somewhere before. I don't even think it was a remix, just a different track. But this is the only song I can think of where that set of notes exists. :(|
I do recommend having a: Shrine Maiden for it's high evasion and melee damage. Witch for the Magical DPS. Moon Rabbit for Ranged and Evasion as backup plan. An you can chuck in another shrine maiden, do try to give her a more magic build for it, even if it costs evasion.
Hey, I'm interested in using this audio for a skit channel. I was wondering if you have a business email or something of the sort where we can discuss some type of agreement. Thank you for your time!
I disagree about the soundtrack. It does its job very well, though it does not rank as my favorite. My favorite is actually Faraway Voyage of 380,000 Kilometers. If LoLK is the weakest the main Touhou games have to offer (I disagree), then we are in good shape. Clownpiece was still ridiculous, and Junko was a bit too much like the PC-98 days of old, which was the point. She was actively trying to kill Reimu and friends (or would be if Eirin's drugs didn't have a 100% success rate). Still easier than Clownpiece...
When the vitamin gummies kick in.
It’s impressive how much the timbre of the zunpet translates to this style
I've said this once and i'll say it again: Damn, you're quick.
Ciryes hertzdevil does science very quick :o
yeah... he's fucking quick... too quick... still tho, naisu remikkusu
Ciryes Bow Chicka Bow Wow
Wow that lead sounds like real ZUNpet
Amazing!
40Nix I'll wait for your take on the themes in your arrangements :3
The game hasn't even been released for a day, and you're already finished with a cover of a post-Stage 4 theme?! Damn dude, that's magical.
to think Toadman was actually threatening for once. and all it took were a bunch of Mobility weapons.

Nope the nes got DRM so we got grey screens
> has ability to purify
> name contains "junk" as proper substring
the more i listen to this song the more inaccurate it becomes
***** See it as being "pure/ly junk" if you want to.

+2006man I agree, her nonspells are fucking ludicrous

Oh, you beat the rest of us to it...
That's a good thing, really.
I'm pretty sure this is the first remix of this song ever. Congrats!
this guy may be just 11k subs (deserves 1M more) but he be dropping BANGERS every time he uploads
I woke up and this is the first thing I saw on my phone
Best day ever
The section @ 2:10 is so intense that Hertz had to resort to arpeggio. Nothing short of genius.

Did you hack ZUN so that you could get this song early?
I listen your chiptune songs everyday.
I especially like TOHO's chiptune music.
sounds very good!
You work fast, dang!
But this is seriously amazing--good job!
Wonderful! I'm amazed at how good this theme sounds in this style!
that was super duper fast!!
Incredibly accurate, good job!
Okay..now that I've actually had my first opinions of the game and played it...

+WishMakers What made you disliked the soundtracks? I found them pretty creative and ear-gasm for me xD
+Gabriel Ganzevoort This was soon after I finished the game. All the tracks but the Stage 4 Boss theme have all grown on me, haha.
***** ah xD Yeah, Stage 4 boss theme was odd, I liked it, but it was...unique to say the least lol.
Gabriel Ganzevoort Yeah, that is now the only track from LoLK that I don't like.
+WishMakers Personally, if I had to pick one song from LoLK that I didn't like, it would be Seiran's theme.
That's including the other, non- stage or boss songs, I might add.
More beautiful work from you, great way to start my long break.
That damn SuperPowered Toadman....
Sounds really good! :)
MegaMan Sunrise character Trance brought me here.
Waow.. So quick.. Im... Impressed... Murica's theme pls ;_;
Sounds so much better this way
This is epic!!
めっちゃかっけー
Megaman Sunrise brought me here.
I can die happily now.
14分ループ…最高じゃないか。
Great job! Better than the original IMO.
the Konami VRC6 is fantastic
I swear I've heard 0:54 through 0:59 at like twice the speed in a different song somewhere before. I don't even think it was a remix, just a different track. But this is the only song I can think of where that set of notes exists.

the sea where one home's planet reflects
That set of notes exists in most tracks. I swear ZUN always finds a way to copy and paste that segment into another game.
'Sniff' such an awesome track...
an angered figure approaches...
I do recommend having a:
Shrine Maiden for it's high evasion and melee damage.
Witch for the Magical DPS.
Moon Rabbit for Ranged and Evasion as backup plan.
An you can chuck in another shrine maiden, do try to give her a more magic build for it, even if it costs evasion.
(Wordless compliment)
1:43 that key change tho
I can't wait for this NSF to be on my Madara cartridge.
*Everybody gangsta going to PC - 98 Era*
I always read it as Pure Furries...
💯💯💯
8 is pure
8 Bit music is pure
Hey that one is really good
I hope we'll hear more VRC6 in Mega ZUN someday. Do you plan to do something even in VRC7 someday ?
I came because of megaman sunrise
Junko Best Mommy..

toehoe
Mega ZUN? i thought he already was mega?
MaGMML2 has ruined Junko's theme for me. Now all I think of is Toad Man's Revenge
Next my turn. Dark inferno!
I need Okina's theme.
I would be so happy if you did Pierrot of the star spangled banner.
I kind of prefer your rendition of pure furies to actual song
This sounds familiar….
make that view count GROW
shit that was fast
I see hexagons...I SEE LOTS OF HEXAGONS.
+CrazyChippy Hexagons?
Clownpiece The music track reminds me a lot of "Super Hexagon", so when I first heard the track, my mind went straight to 'hexagon'.
A lot of them.
CrazyChippy Oh...
What about it reminds you of Super Hexagon?
I thought that said "pure furries."
YOU'RE SANIC FAST
NO YOU REALLY ARE
>No appregios.
>Instant fave.
Hina Face there are arpeggios all throughout VRC6 channel 0.
***** At least they aren't as loud as they were before.
Apreggios shouldn't be used in the main melody. The ones in the background are fine.
Tell that to any AY or SID musician.
Hina Face >arpeggio hate
You heard it from Yibbon.
ptsd never sounded better. ok, maybe clownpiece.
clownpiss theme when
Hey, I'm interested in using this audio for a skit channel. I was wondering if you have a business email or something of the sort where we can discuss some type of agreement. Thank you for your time!
But Seija's theme was pretty good
Might have missed it, but did you have any remix of Emotional Skyscraper? My favorite boss music.
8-bit my ass, this shit is to powerful.
How can I obtain your songs as a .NSF file?
First Build of the song?
pure furies

Pure Furies goes as my favorite boss theme and Faraway Voyage goes as my favorite stage theme. I thought TH15 was alright.
@@TacticalOkuu My hot take’s that 16’s soundtrack was just okay…and I loved 17 and 18’s. My favorite soundtrack’s probably either 3 or 4…

Detuned intro still sounds like ass but the rest of the cover is good 8/10

I don’t like touhou because I assume it’s got a degenerate fandom, but there’s something about this song that brings me in
