Brilliant video, thanks Maybe you can help here: I created a CPT „Trainingvideos“ and added the 6 custom fields inside the CPT Editor. Now there will be more CPTs where we need the same fields. Question 1: can I add the same fields with the same Name/ID to the new CPTs? Or is it colliding in the database? Question 2: Since the client decides to have more CPTs with the same fields, can I transfer the fields in a Meta Box, without having to fill out all the fields again? (100 posts so far) Thanks for the help :)
This week I purchased Crocoblock JetEngine to give it a good try. Had avoided it in the past whilst it was restricted to Elementor. Now JetEngine supports Gutenberg, and ToolSet is on hold development-wise, it feels the correct time to consider adopting it. 👍
When picking a custom field plugin, do you pick that plugin first and then look to see which tools support it, or the other way around. I've always considered which tools I want to use first. For a long time this has been ACF, but now Meta Box has fairly broad support and support for JetEngine is increasing. They continue to bring support for more Crocoblock plugin to Gutenberg, which is nice. I think JetReviews is the most recent. Something I'm happy to see is that Bricks, and maybe a few other tools, supports all of the main ones, so that users are free to use the custom field plugin they have / prefer.
@@DavidMcCan Yes, for a long time I was impressed by the reviews and tutorials describing Crocoblock JetEngine, but frustrated it was originally restricted to use with Elementor. I briefly used Elementor before abandoning it. Currently using JetEngine with a single site licence, but I am considering whether to splash out on a Freelance Lifetime licence if a Black Friday deal appears!
Hi. Thank you for the video. I need your advice. I'm building a website using Elementor Pro and Crocoblock, and I've created a custom post type and listing using JetEngine. But there is something I still can't figure out. Let's say we have text or buttons that need to be clickable. But some of this text/buttons have unique links for each post (so we can't just put the links in the template design). It means we would need to add the links for each new post. The thing is, I can't find how to add inputs for links. We do have text, textarea, numbers, and so on, but no links. If you can, please advise on this matter. Thank you very much
Yes, they don't have a URL field type. They suggest using a single line text field and it should show up in Elementor when you are adding the links to a button.
It is a year old. Both Meta Box and JetEngine have gotten more support by 3rd parties. Also, Toolset announced they are putting new development on hold for 18 months. th-cam.com/video/kvKyAF5IgmY/w-d-xo.html
Hey David, big thumbs up for your style of explanation... finally beginning to understand the possibilities of the jetengine

Which is better, JetEngine or Toolset?
There is no simple answer.
Very thorough.
Thank you
I couldn't find the follow-up video you alluded to that would create a template for your custom post type.
Sorry, here is one: th-cam.com/video/2fLeE4SuPhQ/w-d-xo.html
hi have you got a video for link many page together from all blogs on a website to like 6 tabs down into different blogs?
No, sorry.

@@DavidMcCan Thank you very much!
Have you created a video that compares the current landscape of the various block editor specific, Custom Post Type creation tools?
