why the hell don't they tell us this when it's so simple. I was under the impression the bx was just too advanced for us to understand yet so all we needed to know is that it was part of the quadratic formula, but all it was just the slope at the y-intercept.. The only justification I can think for this is that they may want to teach derivatives or something first but it's not that complex to need knowledge of instantaneous slope. I have suffered since 8th grade, agonizing over what cryptic meaning it must have what a let down
Thank you for the video. It was very helpful and it served its purpose. Just, may i ask which like program you use to present these different functions ? It would make things easier for me to better understand as i continue studying.
+Muky Tack That particular program was a custom thing I had thrown together. If I was doing the video today, I'd use the desmos.com calculator, which can do sliders the same way.
This is how he should have explained it Say for example we have(the question is draw a rough sketch of a parabola/quadratic function) a>0 which means it's a positive number b>0 which means it's a positive number c

best video ever on parabola, and no one teach this... this is most basic thing one should know
Oh man, the effect of the B value hit me in 4:34, fire video to this day
About "b" is tricky...wow
Thank you
This helped me so much... I was soo confused but your video really helped!
Excellent work Mr.David!. Great service to students.

THANK YOU David. I highly appreciate what you taught me in this video.
Thank you so much... You made it so easy to understand... Was getting confused again and again...
Thanks a ton!!
Thank you for actually explaining this instead of saying ‘b is the coefficient of x’ 😂
thanks to you i can get my math final done :)))
Finally I understand what each value means, underrated video
thank you so much!! it's very intuitive to see this; I've been searching for a video like that since a long time;
Absoulte legend for explaining this ❤❤
Turn on the captions to understand the concept (its a very good explanation) thanku sir
you explained that like a champ
Perfect explanation
What's the name of this software, where you play with graphs?
desmos
hi i just have a question! so why isn't there a parameter that just shifts the quadratic left and right simply, like c?
Really helpful. Thank you.
May I please ask what program you are using? Thank you
Desmos can fulfil the same purpose and function mate

+David Lippman Thank you again for the quick reply. I will definitely check that calculator out. I wish you success in your work. :)
Plz can you do a vid of the effects of a,b,c and d on a cubic function...😊
Fantastic video. Thank you!
you are doing god's work
Thanks so much.... This was very helpful. Finally understood why quadratic equation forms parabola.
Which program or software did you used for graphing in this video? Thank you.
Desmos graphing calculator
does anyone know what graphing tool this is?
Desmond graphing calculator
Desmos graphing calculator
Ty u sir this helped me a lot
excellent video
Thank you!
Still don't get it.
This is how he should have explained it
Say for example we have(the question is draw a rough sketch of a parabola/quadratic function)
a>0 which means it's a positive number
b>0 which means it's a positive number
c
Thanx a lottt..
Thank you so much
I've been playing with a parabola for 30 minutes now. Reality can be whatever I want.
Thank you.
thnx a lot sir
Amazing video! Came here to find what "b" does
Thank you sir..
wow thanks a lot
thanks bro
This is how he should have explained it
Say for example we have(the question is draw a rough sketch of a parabola/quadratic function)
a>0 which means it's a positive number
b>0 which means it's a positive number
c
B is slope of the tangent line of the parabola at point (0,C).
Thanks
Brilliant thank you
cool it bro ur blowin out my speakers
500th like...😁
THANKS
Wow ❤️
I understood not one word im doomed
Could your voice be any softer
Ain't nobody asked for your worthless opinions. Not my fault this dude has horrible audio settings. Could you be any dumber?
Vaishali Goel Noone asked for yours either, why do you have to be such a bitch? The dude in the video is just trying to help.
