For the Finn matchup...the trick is to force him to damage you out of the range of that easy early kill. Screw with his spacing early on

@@itsColev no problem! It's still very much possible to pull off at almost any damage, but the fact that it is never 100 percent true means that you may even have 2 windows at times. Also DI when getting hit is important. Believe it or not that backpack is survivable in some cases.
What is DI?
@@itsColev Directional Input. When you take knockback you can influence the trajectory. You're not going to turn a blastoff to the left into one to the right or anything, but you can save yourself. There's more general uses that I would suggest finding a tutorial covering the topic to understand it. But at the very least you don't want to be holding your stick in the same direction as the edge of the blast zone if you are close to kill percent. But if you're not, jamming your stick away from your opponent may give you enough extra knockback to make a combo untrue. While you're at it, look at movement tutorials by somebody like NAKAT or Void

You waste a ton of dodge meter just to miss your dash repeatedly. It's not your fault you aren't being punished. It's sad to see so many weak players pre conditioned to fear that move

@@itsColev that move is so annoying when you reach the tip of the opponent's nose but we're off just enough to miss. One thing to do is mix up the angle . Slash overhead or into the ground at an angle. Make like you are going horizontal the go up or vice versa. Good luck. Hope to see you improve. I'll look out for you on the ladder

Bruh all you do is spam side special and jab, you know you have 15 other moves right, you are whats wrong wtih this game i hate spammers who dont take the time to learn a character just pick the strongest move and repeat like get some skill bruh
Sounds like you were pretty “unlucky” 🥁 Jokes aside all you are focusing is on that move. Nothing is being spammed and the move is being used as intended. I think you should focus more on countering and avoiding being in vulnerable positions of the attack rather than complaining about it. Good luck moving forward
@@itsColev I've been learning the counter play, but yes that is spam it's all Jack's do, it's frustrating I don't think his moves needs to be changed but spamming in general needs to be nerf, when everybody I see playing the character jus jabs and side special and still wins with almost no losses it's wild, and super annoying I definitely don't want people thinking they're good for pressing two buttons when I actually learn the character and he has dope combos and shit that people like you will never know because you'd rather just press x and y while holding to the side. Idk I mean if the game let's you more power to ya ig buh that shit needs to be removed from the game

Also, I would’ve punished all of your failed side special attempts. The side special is meant to close the gap on opponents and keep them off of the map, not mid combo every 5 seconds. You never even used your neutral down special. Big L bro.
