I can't even explain how influential this song has been to me. For over a decade. I'll never forget the first time i heard it. Literally it was like the first time I heard The Beatles
Two days ago I came across The Wolves by Ben, then Promise. The rest was history. My heart is so full of life from his songs (that I haven't stopped playing in two days). I don't feel like I am on Earth when I listen to them. But Earth doesn't seem so bad now if I am going to be here. His music IS love, in every way.
Hannah Smith Just imagining being in Paris like that with the breeze blowing so subtly. Listening to an amazing piece by him, on top of that. Just when I was ready to give up on the world, this has changed my mind. Thank you.
Totally...I randomly came across Ben @ his Band playin Only Love on me mums Satellite music channel. I usually skip & skip, desperately hoping to hear something real...and as soon as I heard his first pluck o the string, I was in. His music is calls to the souls of the hurting lovers....Every Time I listen to that performance I can not stop from tearing up. Ben is a true gift from God. Music is what we need to spread to one-another again. peace @ love . For Eternity
This feels so long ago... 6 months. Everything is changing, yet it really all is still the same. Songs can sound so different when we are going through different tribulations and experiences.
I cannot believe this video is almost 10 years old and I've been watching it for over half that time. I still remember being in awe the first time I saw it and still am today. Jeez, where did that time go?
One of the best acoustic performances I've ever seen. It's one thing having the skill to play like that and another being able to sing perfectly at the same time. Mind blowing!!
This song brought me through a lot of hard times and made me feel safe! Thanks for this from Ben to Ben! Sometimes I wouldn't know what to do without your music! Nothing is calming and making me feel more comfortable than your songs..
just felt the same way, it's amazing sometimes we can be so selfish and forget the life that goes around us, moments like this wake me up from my self-infatuation from time to time, thanks ben!

I can remember the first time I heard him in this video. I couldn't stop listening to him play, I must have watched this video a hundred times. I started listening to his other songs and I couldn't get enough of his voice and lyrics. I'm so glad I found him 💙
Ben Howard, you have become so popular over the last few months. Congratulations, you deserve it. you're one of the best musicians i have ever heard. you actually play MUSIC. Congrats, again.
I don't understand how anything could ever be as beautiful as Ben Howard's music. I wish so badly to be able to see him play live one day. Watching him play with so much emotion and passion puts me in a sort of trance. I love him.
This is amazing. After listening to The Fear, Old Pine, and now Further Away, Ben Howard has worked his way onto my list of most amazing acoustic guitarists.
Are people even allowed to be this talented at music? Ben Howard continues to astound me everytime I watch him play. I am so glad that I found his music :)
The smile on his face says it all. *That's exactly what it's all about* Still one of my favorite songs and live version of it. *His NEW album is about to drop*
I would love to capture his guitar and voice and bring it to where ever we go when we die to show my best friend. Just so i can tell him this was his song while i was still here.
Anyone else turn to Ben and his music at testing times.. going through a really rough spot cant concentrate on anything but mr Howard's music settles my soul
that hammer-on sequence! why does Ben Howard have to make all these amazing songs in his special tuning, my guitar is never in standard tuning because of him!
There must be something about Ben Howard in the fact that he never attracts DoucheBags/Knobs in the comment section. You guys are saying some lovely, sensitive shit and I love it. Rock on. Happy Weekend!
that´s the best thing about Ben´s audience being smaller than pop artists, only attacts people with good sensitive ears and soul with emotional balanced even if they are finding themselves. Then comes up the paradox I wish Ben got more recognition and aim more people but at the same time I wouldn't want to see their fanbase deteriorate in humanity
I've come back to this song at least a few times a year ever since i first heard it back in 2014. One of my favorite videos on youtube and a fantastic song.
I've been a fan of Ben's since Every Kingdom and this tune just recently came into focus for me, and OMG. The fingerpicking near the end is like he's simply toying with us. I've played it a hundred times already. Love and appreciation to this man (and all that has been said before me).
I've watched this at least 100 times throughout my life but just noticed, this last time, a couple kissing in the background, falling in love to the distant crooning of Mr. Howard. There's always another detail to be appreciated, another reason to revisit.

@@dudemanismadcool well now is the time to keep at it :) whenever I'm learning his songs it's like the moment that I relax and stop "trying so hard to hit every note" and focus more on the feeling, suddenly it's like the guitar gods bestow upon me precision and timing and I hit the nail on the head. Takes a lot of practice and it's easier said than done but its what works for me from songs like this one to "under the same sun" :)
