The internet is a great place to really find & connect with people that are part of very specific hobbies / interests. I almost never ‘like’ videos on TH-cam but your channel has been so informative in my search for reviews on Snow Peak products that i am now subscribed. I appreciate the quality content!
Hi Ryan. Great setup and video as always. One nitpick. The chairs are the Japanese word Take pronounced Tah-keh not take and it means Bamboo and the chairs are bamboo chairs :) just thought you might want to know.
Hey Ryan, great vid. I’m a sucker for modular stuff and this setup is no exception. Love SP products for the same reason you do. Recently received their foldable firepit. Not cheap but such a great and simple design (which is actually really difficult to do). Greetingz fron the Netherlands!
Thank you for putting together this video. I've been interested in buying the Snow Peak IGT for my extended road trip (4 to 6 months) visiting family and friends. However, I'm wondering how the other accessories (Grill Burner, Double burner stove, & Double BBQ Box) would work with the table? I'm guessing in my case I should consider the 4 unit instead of the 3 unit. I'm also wondering if the burner(s) works with propane using the Kovea adapter? Have you tried using propane with your burner?
Hey, yes definitely the 4 unit, especially for the stoves you’re considering. The Double burner is a great choice and the included wind screen will be beneficial on the road as weather may be unpredictable. Each of the stoves you mentioned integrate perfectly with the IGT and will give lots of versatility cooking wise. I haven’t converted mine to propane, but if you reach out to @encyphered he would be a great resource. I hope you have a great trip, it sounds like you’ll be having an awesome camp setup for the drive up! Also, not sure if you’re already part of the snowpeak addicts facebook community, but that’s also a great place to chat with others on the gear!
The only thing I have found wrong with the Snow Peak IGT table system is product availability. When trying to order the items I need they are always having them on BACKORDER, especially there stainless steel IGT table top pieces, table top stainless steel pans, lids, racks, ect. Snow Peak needs to step up there game and get these items IN STOCK FOR THERE CUSTOMERS. I will keep trying to order these items hopefully they wil finally get these items in stock.
Thanks for sharing this update to your setup! Off topic question but I noticed the oru kayak there and I was wondering if you’re still enjoying that? Have you had much opportunity to take it out?
Hey, thanks for watching. We’ve had the ORU’s for 3 summers and they have been great. We use them a ton in the summer and they’ve held up well. I’ll be putting some ORU videos up soon, they also have offered to send some boats to try out, so if you have a model in mind I can request it for review.
@@rtmadani awesome! I’m glad to hear they’ve been holding up well. That’s definitely been my biggest concern and what’s holding me back from picking a couple up. My wife and I are interested in either the Beach LT or Bay ST. I’d be stoked to watch any future videos you have on them. I love the vibe you bring to all your videos!
Hi Ryan. Thanks for the very informative video. I'm planning on getting SP single action table large as a dining table, and expecting baby soon. I am a little bit concerned with baby pinching due to the folding table's complicated nature. Do you find any potential pinching point on unfolded position? Or will the table holds and not tips over if baby pushes the leg?
Hey, glad to hear the video was helpful! I have to put a full review showing how all the singe action tables work, but I don't feel there is any risk of pinching or tipping if it gets nudged slightly. The rod that manually locks the legs in place has a cover to secure it, so as long as that's not messed with it should be okay. With the rod locked in place, the legs and entire table feels stable and it also has some weight to it, so I don't think it could tip easily at all.
Great video as always. Thanks for being such a resource for snow peak information. I'm intrigued by the single action table, but would be using it for work as well as when camping. Does the table still function without attaching the support rod? I'm trying to justify it with how quick it looks to set up when I'm on-site for work, but the extra step of the rod makes it not nearly as quick. Does it just add a bit more stability and is therefore not necessary when I'm okay with a little wobble, or is it a vital step? Thanks in advance
Thank you! I use mine as my desk at home and while I haven’t brought it camping yet, I do plan to use it out there as well. I just tested removing the rod and can confirm it functions just fine with little to no wobble under normal pressure. I think if you were to bump it hard, it could potentially close, but under normal use it seems just fine. I believe it’s just a tension rod to help prevent the legs from closing inward. Personally, I’ve made it a habit to always use it and do recommend it as an extra step.
Nice video as usual. Of course I like Snow Peak, but as the IGT only makes table tops and not shelves I’m looking at other options. I’ve been looking at aDIY solution using parts from Tetsu Bat connectors but then found out the manufacturer doesn’t shop internationally. I’ll keep looking.
Thank you! I'm thinking about adding the hanging racks now that I have the standing height legs. A shelf accessory would be nice though for sure! Let me know if you come across something.
Is the table in medium a good height to pair with the low beach chairs? I like the look of the low tables but we have two big dogs who like to steal food when no one’s watching…
It works better with the folding chairs or take! low back chairs. I think the low beach chairs are just slightly too short for the sitting height tables.
@@rtmadani if we have low beach chairs would you recommend going the low leg route for IGT as well? Trying to decide on leg height for my IGT and don’t want something that wouldn’t be comfortable with the beach chairs
Low height works best with the low beach chairs. It’s basically coffee table height so you won’t be sitting under the table, but next to it. I find this to be a very comfortable and social seating/table position.
Deciding between single action low table and single action medium table. Which one would you recommend as a first table? I have the low beach chair and long take chairs. Thanks!
I don't think the low beach chairs work well with the M table. They're nicer with the coffee table height style that the single action low offers. It's also just so compact and light that I bring it every trip.
Please elaborate in excruciating detail, the short Take chair is superior to the folding chair? I’ve been eyeing the latter off (in grey, of course) but am not able to see either in-person until ordering. Why do you prefer the take chair, and even for packing into the car?
I wouldn’t say it’s superior, just a really different sitting and packing experience. I like the feel and look of the take chairs better personally. I’ll try and describe both as best as I can though for you. So the take chairs kinda cradle you into the seat and I find it to be really comfortable. For packing, they collapse in easily, and fit easier in my roof box since they’re not very wide when folded. The folding chairs offer a much larger seating surface that you can either recline back into or just sit upright. It kinda feels less supportive than the take chairs and has a similar feel to snow peaks benches or ottomans. It’s hard to describe, I’ll have to do an updated chair video showing how they all feel, but I hope this helps!
Also the folding chairs are pretty flat when folded which is nice but not as easy to fit in my roof box or trunk because of the dimensions. If I had a hatch it’d be no problem though.
You know, it actually has been working out just fine on all different types of terrain. I think because of how the legs cross and angle it's able to nudge into the ground nicely, creating a stable surface. It's true though, finding level spots is not easy!
I think the best two words to describe Snow Peak products are:
¡ ¡ E X T R E M E LY E X P E N S I V E ! !

How high is the single action medium table for use with the low beach chairs?
The low beach chairs are too low in my opinion with the single action medium tables.
Hi Ryan what cabinets are those in the background? Do you use them to store your camping gear?
They're the Ikea Bror cabinets and all are used for camping gear storage.

When using the single action tables outdoors. Do you find it difficult to keep level? Even ground can be hard to come by 😅
You know, it actually has been working out just fine on all different types of terrain. I think because of how the legs cross and angle it's able to nudge into the ground nicely, creating a stable surface. It's true though, finding level spots is not easy!
You can also adjust the bottom of legs (like screws) to go up and down maybe up to a cm.
