'Engine wants to play this, I wouid play this because...' - Andras this why your a great chess coach as us mere mortals can't sometimes keep up with engine moves and you help us bridge the gap between our current levels and the level above. 👍👍

It would be really cool if you did a vid or more on Bg5 and Be3 Najdorf, explaining why certain moves are played/theory and why certain moves aren't, etc

    Very instructive...👍 Thank u coach...
If I may request, I really liked ur video on e5 e6 thrust in d sicilian... It really clarifies when e5 is better and when is e6 better...
On similar lines it would be great to have an instructive lesson on which square to develop d queen side knight for black... In some lines N to c6 is better, in some lines N to d2 seems to be better... But would love to know why or why not, for a better understanding...
    Thanks🙏

I did SOME of Giri’s chessable course. He’s certainly a BEAST! Certainly got me more comfortable with Najdorf. I’m 1550 and ofc NOBODY at my ELO plays any main lines lol. Everyone plays Italian opening against Najdorf. Fkn 1500s man. 😂😂😂

hey ur opinion on dragon ? i play it as my main repertorie..should is stick with it or change it ....whites attack feels easier in dragon

As a 2100 player what I'd say is that in the dragon you have to know a lot of variations to not get crushed, but if you know them you're fine. However if you don't want to learn so many lines, you can play the Accelerated Dragon where you only have to know the ideas, the move orders, aren't that important. It also depends on what your rating is

If you don't get mated in 20 moves in the Yugoslav it's a great opening. I play it myself and I got mated quickly when learning it.

the najdorf, classical and the dragon were all my main openings at times and the dragon is certainly the worst for my level (2100 lichess rapid and blitz)
the najdorf (main line with e5) is the safest and also the best imo

Dragon is great UNLESS white plays c3 d4 or sets up for the Yugoslav.

@@RaptureReady2025 not sure how black gets a pawn on c3 in the dragon if a knights stands there. Acc dragon is not great.
And Yugoslav it's playable for black but you need to know theory

The opening mistakes played by both sides do not surprise me at all. If you look in the lichess database 9...b5 is the second most common move in the position and under 2000 is played roughly in 20% of games. Despite that the move is not mentioned in any of the opening material I have on the Bg5 Najdorf.I understand why White continued with Bxf6 and g4 ..because that's exactly what you do against 9...Nbd7 and 10...b5. I wish opening books and coursea spent more time covering common move order mistakes because they really teach you the why of openings. Also let's face it, no one under 2000 (and I include myself) understands the Najdorf.

Najdorf is the SHARPEST opening I’ve ever played. I agree if you make one mistake you could be murdered. Def not recommended for

Dragon needs less theory? Really dude? You just die if you play the Dragon without being booked up.

@@ChessCoachAndras Are you guys saying that the Najdorf is harder to play for black than for white? I feel in general that the open sicilian is a little bit easier to play for white than for black if both players don't know their theory well. Maybe if you said it but I can't recall. Can you confirm this?
