Yeah, they suck now. And they are pretending they didn't fire Al over political shit because they think to support unions you ALSO have to pander to the moronic parts of the left as well.. fucking cowards.
YAAASSSS WE LOOOOOOVE OUR MIKEY UP HERE IN BOSTON!!!!! So great to see him onstage performing again and out and about in the scene and at shows like the old days. He's such a solid dude with a huge heart...I swear Boston is such a small city with an even smaller punk scene. and it's like coconut telephone up here sometimes. I'm so jealous y'all got to see this!! Thanks for sharing from the 617!!!! ☘
@@thepunkrockreview Knowing him, he'll come thru. Especially with him being back out in the scene and playing shows again; hopefully there are more to come. They were one of my favorite Boston bands. They always did a few nights at this venue in Allston MA around this time of year...maybe closer to NYE, called Wreck the Halls and I went every year for the last few that they did it. Always a good time...Mike and the Street Dogs have definitely been missed up here!
I Saw Mike with DKM, first tour, before they broke. Saw him about 12 years later with Street Dogs, they played half of the Do or die album. One of the best shows I've been to.
I saw DKM with Mike singing here in Sacramento around 1998ish when they played with The Business (maybe my first Oi!/Streetpunk show? not totally sure). Mike's vocals were the best for them for sure. I love Al and The Bruisers, but it's just a whole different thing. That first album with Al had had some good songs, but it did not compare to this stuff at all IMO. I still have my promo copy of the Boys On The Docks ep I got from Cyclone to review for my zine when it came out as well. Just good memories all around. Thanks for posting this!
@@thepunkrockreview Dude...I missed out big time. I like all of those bands. Prowlers are a Montreal staple. Check out an album from them called "Hair today gone tomorrow". L & J from your neck of the woods. Violent Way from the land of the ice and snow Buffalo N.Y. Just wondering if you've heard BIG DOG from Buffalo N.Y. SIKM are also very good. OH well just my luck. Thanx for the finale.
Yep, that's Johnny! Rhy from True Intentions (awesome band), Craig from Agnostic Front, and Pat from Street Dogs/Drag The River. Absolutely absurd lineup
I remember when I first heard Do or Die and thinking what an amazing band. Then the split album with the Bruisers and I was like that's pretty cool still. After Mike left the Dropkicks the band in my opinion went downhill. I prefer Mike's vocals over Al's. Nowadays I don't even bother listening to Dropkick Murphys anymore cause they're just very meh.
This is literally the album that got me hooked on street punk/oi and still the best DKM album in my opinion. Thanx for posting.
Heck yeah! Such a great record! Thanks for watching 👊
Don't mean to be a hater or something, but this is much more DKM than the actual DKM currently...
Nothing hater about that at all
Yeah, they suck now. And they are pretending they didn't fire Al over political shit because they think to support unions you ALSO have to pander to the moronic parts of the left as well.. fucking cowards.
Yeah, because DKM now is just kinda listless and being run by the most talentless dude from the original lineup.
Fact
This is what i started to listening to back in the day☘️☘️
One of the greatest shows I've ever been to! Thank you for recording it.
Absolutely! I have other sets from it coming this weekend
Thanks for posting! Made my night!
Heck yeah, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I am so darn stoked you uploaded this!!! I was upset I didn’t fly out to Houston for it
No way I wasn't bringing this to the community!
I love this album thanks for posting. My brother and I's first time seeing DKM was on the Do or Die Tour. The Business opened for them.
Heck yes, I vaguely remember that tour! Not sure if i was there or just heard about it, I think I was a bit too young and poor, lol
The Do or Die tour was headlined by The Business. Dropkicks played 2nd. I think Inspector 7 opened.
I Saw Mike with DKM, first tour, before they broke.
Saw him about 12 years later with Street Dogs, they played half of the Do or die album.
One of the best shows I've been to.
Thats amazing, I'm pretty sure i saw them do the same. They played Houston a lot
great video! Do Or Die, some clash, and then street dogs hits, wish I couldve been there
It was such a fun day! Loaded with great bands, too

Yeah bro, this was amazing!

@thepunkrockreview same!!!! Thank you for recording this!!!
Tis the season. right on Randy keep em coming !!!!!
Heck yes, bro! This show was AMAZING!
@@thepunkrockreview Randy what were the opening bands for this show?
@GeorgeMpilalis it was a lot, check out my IG for the Flyer. It was the 2024 Winter Weekender
@@GeorgeMpilalis The Prowlers, Liberty And Justice, SIKM, Violent Way, and a bunch more

Best DKM album... Still holds up! Produced by the legend Lars Frederiksen
Absolutely! I love this record!
Skinhead on the mta
Holy fuck. 17 year old me just woke up!!!!
I know, right! This was so friggin rad!
I think I see Johnny Rioux (best haircut in Houston). Who else is in this lineup?
Yep, that's Johnny! Rhy from True Intentions (awesome band), Craig from Agnostic Front, and Pat from Street Dogs/Drag The River. Absolutely absurd lineup
So the Street Dogs are not around anymore then?
I think they started playing shows again recently.
It's this new group, I think? But they stopped playing a few years ago
Street Dogs are playing again too.
They played a show in Boston in August, then with NOFX in Brockton.

I still liked DKM, but I definitely prefer the older stuff and Street Dogs
Mike's new band?
Not 100% sure if he's gonna do this or get the Street Dogs back together, but I'm here for whatever!
