Great tips DC as always! Wished i had found u 2 years ago when i started collecting, gave in to the FOMO.. lesson learned! I would suggest trying to find what u want in a retail setting before only the FLIPPERS get it. With so much info on drops available it well worth it to check your local stores and malls.

But why? NOT criticising anything in the video (aside from his claims all nft pops are worth hundreds) but everything released in the last 2 years INCLUDING "limited edition" Convention stickered are so over produced that if you don't find it for retail then you're just not trying. Sure, there ARE exceptions but they are ridiculously rare because we ALL pick out the best box and immediately toss it in a protector. Nothing is rare anymore and zero chance of flippers buying up everything released in a retail setting.
@@dochaliday69 you aren't from Canada are you? We barely get much here at the retail level. Yes they are over produced but not sent to us up in the North!
99% are over produced, buying new Funko PoPs are not a good investment.

Its not something you wanna sit on anymore, those 2012 pops are worth that now cuz there were under 1 of 2k in production for even commons back then. No pop will gain value in a market where nobody is buying pops anymore and funko is making 20k of each exclusive and dumping shit on landfills. Those days are longggg gone.
Thats is true in some cases but not all. There were many factors leading to the landfill incident, Covid and Increased demand during that period being one of them. They still make limited piece pops and some highly desirable exclusives which sometimes sell for 4 to 5 times the price only a year after release.
How do we KNOW Marvel with drop Funko Pop NFTs? Marvel NFTs are currently on VeVe and I would think they’d only stay there until it’s time for Marvel to launch their own platform. Just a thought. 🤷🏽♂️🧐
Its true they might but funko is its own animal, it will be tough for marvel to create something that would actually be able to compete with a funko pop!

Only 1 rule, in no way are Funko pops an investment. If you're buying as investment, especially now you're in for a rude awakening. Nft pops have failed miserably. That Freddy Batman nft is 150$ if you're lucky. Vid hasn't aged well

Fun fact with nft the destroy the ones that aren’t redeem I dropped 350 for Batman rebirth. But I feel those will eventually raise up in price a lot more. Sucks I missed out on dc wave but when they do marvel im for sure gonna do it
Hey Rudy I here you man, nfts in general will and yes that Batman Rebirth I think will be over $1000 in a couple years, a few for sure. But me to that azreal batman was insane!!! Marvels will be Epic!!!

Especially with how all the ones that weren’t redeemed are destroyed so makes it more valuable. But I for sure see funko nft being a big thing. Maybe would be something I start to get into full time. Step one: don't invest in collectibles, especially toys.
Step two: know the market, right now times are tough and the disposable imcome people use to spend for fun, aren't doing so. So buy wisely.

There is legit barely any money in reselling pops.
I've seen a group where loads of people are all trying to sell their stuff and only part of their inventory moves. maybe in 5 years you can buy all the funko pops you want from yard sales and you'll make them happy when you do.
In mexico people do. Thats because any $15 us pop is reselled here as exclusive for at least $23 like the cheapest and the funko shop ones begin at $28.

I don’t know how Funko Pop mystery boxes is the same as gambling because there collectibles and it’s not just money, there’s a fine difference between being a sore loser and complaining every time you do a mystery box then doing a mystery box for fun!
I mean to be honest trading cards can be a huge gamble to because you don’t know what you’re gonna get and kids buy a lot of packs especially when I was young I bought a lot of packs of og opened Pokémon packs and I still have them in my collection which are worth a bunch of money now but at the end of the day i’m the one who’s spending the money on it because it’s something that I love and a lot of Funko pops are very nostalgic to me in my collection.
People just need to do research when it comes to Funko pop mystery boxes I typically go with Pop King Paul or Chalice Collectibles which are both really great!.
It is 100% gambling. Most companies won't sell mystery boxes to you unless you're 18+ years old for that reason. I'm just trying to help people my friend. I'm just pointing out the facts! @@dccollects That’s your opinion and I respect it but yeah It can (Key word is CAN) be gambling but not always because it just depends on the person. I do understand about kids needing to be older then 18 the buy mystery box pops and other stuff in general and it makes sense but if that’s the case they’ll just ask their parents to buy them a mystery box how do you talk to the parents to buy there kid a mystery box
Mistake #8 - treating Funko's as stocks and not toys. All of these are great ideas so not bashing your ideas or the video but you have a million people tossing their Pops into Pop Shield Protectors (that are more expensive than the pop itself) thinking they have a future grail. You don't! A million other collectors all have the same pop in a protector, it'll NEVER be rare and only collectible as a toy for the kids. Heck, even stickered exclusives are anything but hard to find. Finally NFT Pops. I have a Bob Ross NFT pop, only 576 produced, it barely sells for $100 so if there is one bit of misleading information in your video it's stating all NFT pops "are all worth hundreds when they are released" because many sell on the whatnot market for $50-80.
To call them toys I know you have a chip on your shoulder already... Using 1 pop Bob Ross would be a huge mistake in predicting the future of the 1000s upon 1000s of funko pops that are out there. I have Pops that I bought last year at retail and could now sell for 4 times the price. These are priceless collectibles to some people. I have spent mabye 2000$ on funko pops in 5 years and my collection is worths over 10k now... Im not misleading anyone i said generally, Thanks though!!!
