  • This is a once in a lifetime find for us.
in the 50 years of being exposed to and working in the antique business I have never run across one of these doll houses, other than in books.
My friends, let me introduce you to this incredible,
    R. Bliss "Keyhole" house!
It dates to 1890s up until 1914 when R. Bliss sold his toy company.
These style of doll houses were produced up until 1935.
This example IS NOT newer than 1914 and it is not a kit built house.
The graphics on this were ahead of the game when it came to the lithography used on toys. making R. Bliss toy houses very popular and very affordable.

This was an unbelievable find. My wife struck Gold on this one. There are some condition issues. But for its age I would be suspicious of actual age if it were completely pristine.

Thank you for watching. The Sierra Nevada Mountains have not disappointed with the types of antiques and Collectibles we find up here.

Same here, I usually pass on them. But when my wife showed me this one I knew we had to get it.
I'm kind of debating about selling it.

That's true, the lady that bought it is totally in love with it. It's great that it's going to a good home. Hopefully it lasts another 100 years.

Did you sell it? You could check with Old Curiosity Shop although he favors the 20's and 30's. Or perhaps D Miniatures might know the origin. Well you found R Bliss. But I mean maybe the family who had it. Great little piece, I wonder if it's supposed to be a Victorian
